P&T notice.
What does the VA give you to show that you are permanent and total. The BBE didn't have anything directly stating that. My Commissary letter on Ebenefits states "This total disability is considered permanent. You are not scheduled for future examinations." Does that statement mean P&T ? Is there any other documents that would reflect P&T. Seems like there would be more documentation to indicate TDIU P&T. Thanks EDIT. Looking at my summary of benefits letter it states " You are considered to be totally and permanently disabled due solely to your service-connected disabilities" Sounds like P&T but is it?

Service connected asthma(30%) submitting claim for severe sleep apnea
What's up Fellow Vets, I am new to this site and I wanted to explain my case and get advise. I was medically discharged from the Army in 2004 due to a diagnosis of asthma (30% disability). I never had any kind of respiratory problems until I arrived in Germany in 2003. I started experiencing difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, excessive snoring, dry mouth, fatigue, ect. After several trips to the doctor and several tests, the Army doctors diagnosed me with having asthma. I never had asthma so all the symptoms i was experiencing were new to me. Fast forward to 2017, I was having trouble with the hormones in my body. I was experiencing ecessive …

C&P for Neck and Back Pain
I have a C&P coming up in October for Neck/Back pains. While in Iraq in 2004, I fell off of a 916 semi-truck and have buddy statements to verify this. I also have medical proof that I went to the TMC in theater and it was considered a "sprain" and was given light duty for a few days. When I returned home in 2005, I went to the VA and had MRI's done that confirmed I had a bulging disc going away from my spine. Since 2005, I have dealt with varying levels and range of motion and pain. My family doctor wrote a statement for me that he has been treating me for a Bulging Disc and believes that is it Service Connected. My Family Doctor is also a DR in the Army Reserves. My …

TDIU and the Poverty Level. Help!
Hi All, I'm currently 90% SC'd and in the process of waiting for IU to be approved. While I'd like to try and be productive and have a small job still, I've read that you can earn up to the poverty level. My question is: Does the VA look at the poverty level for a single person or a family as it pertains to earnings for the year? I'm married with children. Thank you!

Will TDIU benefits be cut?
Does anyone know the facts about the bill Trump signed Sat? Some news reports say " Costs will be paid for by trimming pensions for some Medicaid-eligible veterans and collecting fees for housing loans." I thought the VA groups called this tactic a "non starter" in finding a way to pay for Choice care and would not support it, however, ABC news reports "Veterans groups applauded the bill being signed" I cannot find the bill online, or don't know how. This sounds to me like TDIU recipients are in danger again of having benefits cut.

Wrong Retro date for TDIU P&T and Secondary Conditions
I recently received my award letter for TDIU and it was made Permanent and Total. I want to thank all of you for your kind advice over the years and teaching me about how I should approach my claim. It has helped in many ways, especially letting me know what to expect. I filed a notice of Intent to file in February 2016 and submitted my claim in August of 2016. In calculating the back pay, they went back only to August 2016 and not February 2016. They said in the letter that since I left work in February 2012, they would only pay me from the date that I filed the claim, August 2016, since I did not file within a year of leaving work. I don't think that is correc…

Trump signs bill yesterday at golf club Costs will be paid for by trimming pensions for some Medicaid-eligible veterans
According to at least one news story Trump signs a bill yesterday that will affect older TDIU recipients. I hope I read it wrong as the story was overshadowed by the violence in Virginia. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/trump-signs-bill-fund-veterans-medical-care-program-49180660
