ptsd TDIU Question
Hello All...I have a question about filing for TDIU. I was awarded 70% PTSD last fall based on MST. I am a primary law enforcement officer who investigates sex crimes and am going to retire because I can no longer handle the stress and reminders of my incident on a day to day basis. Do you see that as I do; as reason to qualify for TDIU? I have taken so much sick and annual leave over the years from the anxiety I can no longer do this...There are many other reasons that are PTSD related that also come into play, but, that is just an over simplification of many of the issues I am suffering and struggling with...PLEASE HELP AND THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Effective date and rating changes?
Can someone help me out with a simple question. Currently I'm at 80% and recently put in for IU. If I get it, how will my benefit verification letter look/change? Will it still show the original 80% and a new seperate letter will address the IU? Just curious so I'll know what changes to look out for. Thanks in advance for any info.

ptsd Granted Entitlement to IU & Basic Eligibility
Hi! I'm new to the forum and have a question about IU. In June 2010 I filed an appeal for an increase on PTSD, low back condition, hip condition and IU. In Jan. 2012 I was granted an increase on PTSD from 50% to 70%. I now have a combined total of 80% (70% PTSD, 10% each on three other conditions). The decision on the low back, hip condition and IU was deferred because they need additional information or evidence. I received a letter dated 3/29/16 that stated that under DeNovo Review a "Rating Decision dated March 24, 2016 granted Entitlement to Individual Unemployability and Basic Eligibility under 38 USC Ch 35 from June 20, 2010. As such, this issue has been…

tdiu TDIU P&T and Dental Care
Know vet that just received TDIU P&T paid at 100% rate, but is actually 80% scheduler. Is he authorized dental care by the VA? I know 100% scheduler is as I am but not sure about TDIU P&T veterans.

ptsd How do I go from 100% IU to 100% P/T?
Hi Guys, I have a question you have probably answered hundreds of times, and I am just not knowledgeable in this area. I am 100% IU (80% eyes and 50% PTSD). I am "legally blind" in my life eye and my right eye is really getting bad. My board certified ophthalmologist stated I have glaucoma in my right eye, and the added pressure of using my right eye to see because of no vision in my left eye has added to the limited vision. My eye doctor wrote a letter stating that I could not do any kind of employment whatsoever (filing, sedentary work etc. ) and my vision would only get worse and had no chance for improvement. I have submitted the letter to the VA. I am also on S…

tdiu What is work?
Hello, Just wondering what I can do and what I can not do if my TDIU claim is approved. Does property investments count as work? If I buy and fix cheap houses and then sell for a profit would this be allowed or does it count as work. Same question about buying and selling cars for a profit, is this allow. Also I have a buddy that is 100 percent P&T and he claims he not even allowed to take college classes. Is this true? Any body that has input on this topic would be great. Thanks Bill.

tdiu TDIU/ property tax exemption
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a conversation I had yesterday at the County Assessor office. I live in Arizona, and I called the assessors office in Phoenix, Arizona to acquire about the property tax exemption for veterans. I ended up talking to the nastiest , meanest woman that I have encountered in a long time. When I asked her for information, and the process for applying for the property tax exemption, she was very reluctant to give me the information. The she said "the exemption is not just for you vets, it is for anyone that is disabled". Then she said "All you vets are the same, you are always trying to GAME THE SYSTEM". "You want something for nothing, …

ptsd Currently TDIU but Contemplating Adding Primary & Secondary Conditions
I'm currently 90% TDIU but I'm contemplating adding a few disabilities: 1). Obstructive Sleep Apnea: I just got sworn statements in support of my claim. 2). Headaches secondary to PTSD: been diagnosed with tension & migraine headaches that are due to stress and anxiety from PTSD. 3). Sciatica secondary to lower back herniated discs: recent MRIs confirm nerve impingement. 4). Increase in IBS from 0% to 30%. 5). Increase in chronic sinusitis from 0% to 30%. All of the above has substantial medical evidence to warrant service-connection or increases. Should I do it? Would it change me from TDIU to T&P? Thanks.

IU and how does it effect your pay
I understand most of what IU benefits are, but I don't understand (and I hate to ask this, at least this way) the dollar differences. I am 90% CRSC rated, my VA Doc say's I meet the requirements for IU, I understand this would make me eligible for $2900 dollars (single, no kids, this is example), but my current military retirement is only $2100 dollars, I receive $1888 (tax free) VA waiver from VA and the rest from DFAS $212 (Taxable) and another $1888 (tax free) approved form AHRC (Army). My question is if I'm approved for IU, does the VA waiver jump to $2900 or just to my $2100 retirement amount I receive and does AHRC (Army) approve CRSC pay $2100 or $2900.

tdiu TDIU trouble
Imagine the following scenario: Veteran is TDIU, 100% P & T and is in VOCREHAB. Applies for jobs but keeps getting terminated. Obtains one where he is making a substantial amount of money. 11 months into it he is terminated for too many doctor visits, and allegedly not getting along with coworkers, etc. Litigation ensures with the former company over the termination. All along he has reported his positions to the VA VOCREHAB. Received paperwork from VOC indicating receipt. Fast forward a few years later, and two special agents show up and state, repeatedly, "you can work", you can work" and you made $175,000.00 in one year and never reported it to us". T…
