tdiu Disability Benefits Questionare
I am filing for TDIU. My rating has been at 60% for more than 20 years. I am trying to make sure that I have everything I need before submitting the claim. I am wondering whether I need to have my doctor complete the Disability Benefits Questionare. I am applying for TDIU for a condition that is already service connected. I also have a nexus letter from my doctor. As far as the DBQ, my VA doctor, who has now retired, answered most of these questions over the years in filling out forms related to my job. That is why I am not sure whether the form is needed or not. Thanks for your input.

Are there any risks of losing 100% p&t if I file for IU?
I just recently received a decision that I would go from 90% to100% P&T. My VSO recommended that I now apply for IU because there would be an increase in compensation, if granted. My question is this...If I file for IU and get it, would there, indeed, be an increase in compensation? Are there any risks involved, I.e., would the VA reopen my case and reconsider my award, possibly moving it down? Are there any other risks? Incidentally, I filed for IU way back, along with other things. In the award letters I subsequently received, the VA said "Consideration of IU is moot at this time." In the last two letters, there was no mention of IU at all. Any guidance would be app…

tdiu Question about TDIU
I am trying to fill out the form for TDIU. I am rated at 60%. I have been granted SSDI. I have a doctor's note saying he recommended I leave work due to my service connected disability and I can no longer hold gainful employment, including sedentary work. I was accommodated in my job due to my Service connected disability for many years. When I was granted my service connection at BVA, they considered an extra scheduler rating but ruled it out because I was still able to work, although on a reduced work schedule. My VA doctor filled out forms year after year for work saying the restrictions were permanent and there was no recovery expected. Flash forward 20 y…

tdiu When to Apply for TDIU
In Oct 2014 i was awarded 10% R Ankle 20% L Ankle 10% L Knee 0% R Knee 10% Lower Back Secondary 10% L Lower Extremity Nerve damage Secondary 10% R Lower Extremity Nerve damage. And denied SC for TBI, claimed for concussions on AD, Denied SC for Cervical Spine for Degenerative Disc Disease, denied SC for Hearing Loss. I filed an appeal to SC the TBI and Cervical Spine and to increase % on R Knee in Oct 2014 did not appeal hearing loss (my first time dealing with VA). i should have but didn't. Last Month (26 May 2016) I receive a SOC denying Knee increase and TBI SC, but nothing about my Cervical Spine. I Call my VSO who informs me that my Cervical Spine has been s…

tdiu 80% drawing 100% TDIU, P&T, why file more??
66 yr old Vietnam vet. 20 months incountry. Recently diagnosed prostate cancer. TDIU &P&T rated 100% over 11 years. Why file for service connection for prostate cancer when I've already been drawing 80%, 100% TDIU for other conditions? Also, if I do file requesting s/c for prostate---will they (VA) mess with my existing rating? Does it even make sense to file?

tdiu 21-8940 Questions
Vets. I am filling out form 21-8940 For my TDIU. In box 18 Did you leave your last job for your disability? I left my job for workers comp which has nothing to do with my service connected disabilities. How should I answer this question? Should I use the same date for my 21-8940 that i used as my last day of work for my workers comp? That was around the time my service connected disabilities worsened.

No update employment letters in 4 or more years!
I haven't received a employment verification letter in about 4 years. I am 100% TDUI. All my info filed with the VA (St Pete and the clinic in Pensacola) is up-to-date . Should I be concerned about anything? If so, who should I contact?

tdiu Migraines and TDIU
Good afternoon, I hope you are not receiving this twice. I hit send, but I don't know what happened. I need help/advice. I am at the max of 50% for migraines and 70% for depression etc.. I have been service connected with migraines for a while. I have been service connected for depression for about 2 or 3 years. I have a total of 90%. My question is my migraines have become extremely worse. I was just diagnosed by the VA doctor with complex migraines (stroke like symptoms). We have been through a lot of medication with no success. My doctor said I have one more medication to try and then there is nothing else. I have been to the ER quite a few times for my migraines.…

tdiu increase for a sc when already TDIU?
I was awarded IU permanent and total about 2 years ago. I was already rated at 70% and they didn't send me for a C & P, which probably would have increased my mental health sc issue from 30% to at least 70%. My husband is not eligible for the caregiver program but I may qualify for Aid and Attendance or housebound if I applied but keep hoping that all disabled veterans will have their caregivers eligible for the caregiver program. Have any of you opened a claim when already TDIU to get your rating higher (there is a reason that having 90-100% schedular would be beneficial for my children). My VSO pretty much told me when I received my TDIU not to rock the boat. …

Extraschedular IU?
I am helping a fellow veteran who is already receiving SSDI because he cannot work. His ratings are 50% + 30% + 20% = 70% combined. Would he be able to file for IU or extraschedular IU?

When Is Retro Pay Start Day?
Wondering about when back pay retro would start. From your new open claim date? Or can it be established when you stop working and are considered unemployable from your previous employer and doc's? Since it took me one year of no employment and know idea that TDUI even existed. And I was in and out of hospitals with little to no way of even starting a new claim if I even knew. Basically I haven't worked since 01/13. Started my new claim for TDUI 02/14. Nobody seems to no the answer to this lol:)
