  1. 1.7 is actually decent. Extra $1.70 cents per 100 So if your were getting $1000 per month now you'd be getting $1017 per month If your at 100% and married plus got a bunch of kids and you were getting $3500 a month now you'd be getting $3560 a month. In my case Im grateful for the extra 30$ ill be getting. Long as its still all tax free then Im happy.
  2. Great news on the bennies but the real win here is your wife still standing by your side. All the money in the world wont fix a heart. Stay on top of the bennies but do whatever you have to in the world to keep your wife. I lost mine for two and a half years due to untreated depression. That pain was suffering. Stay on top brother!
  3. Thats awesome and yes the aVa isnt all bad. Im very grateful for the system and it truly seems that they are much faster over the past six months.
  4. Currently... 50% hearing loss 10% tinitus 10% right shoulder 10% left shoulder 10% right wrist 70% total I already meet the requierments since the hearing loss and tinitus combine to 60% and are from the same group
  5. Excellency Britton. Thank you very much. My 50% was just increased to 50 last month. It was 30% from 2011 till September 2014. I have many private test in the past year using the same standard that show 60% loss. I was just a hair away from 60% on the VA test.
  6. Upfront or not...unless its in writing that your in a sheltered work environment. ...your gonna get screwed and loose your tdiu. You have to make a decision and very fast! Do you want to get reduced back down to 90% and make 2k a month plus lets say 2k a month from your job for a total of 4k a month..... Or do you wanna keep your tdiu and make 3k a month not working? You gotta decide quick because once they see that you have been working for a year...they WILL cut your tdiu... And jeeze your ssdi too. Man your playing with fire!!!!
  7. I put in a claim for depression secondary to hearing loss. It was denied and Im working on an IME to get that fixed. Lips yes...sign language no Not going broke..... 1800 from VA 2200 from unemployment 2700 from post 911 GI bill God has blessed me
  8. Broncovet....yea my hearings really bad. My scores were duplicated a tleaste four times and actually the va scores were a lil better than the other private Drs. My va scores were nearly 60% for hearing loss. But I fell into the 50% rating. The thing I fear is not me ears...but a new audiology dr. They can be very hit and miss. Most of them are like hey....this guys been wearing hearing aids since he was 22 and over the past 12 years theres been a negative shift every three or four years...no brainer. Then some have been very cruel and scolded ect. Just repeat the word!!!!!!! If I had any idea I would...but hey I dont hear too good and thats why Im here. I honestly think its because I look like Im in my twenties and physically fit.. so obviously nothings wrong with me. Based on the info you guys have provided I think I will wait till nearly a year after my award and then perhaps put in for tdiu if I still haven't secured a job. Another c@p is just too stressful at this time. Thanks
  9. Basically I meet the requirements. Im currently unemployed and I have a 50% rating for hearing loss and a 10% rating for tinitus. They are both from the same group and combine to 55% and round up to 60% by VA math. I also have shoulder and wrist disabilities that have my overall rating at 70%. This all became effective in September 2014 (last month) Tdiu was not inferred in my BBE. I feel that I meet the requierments but aIm afraid to take the plunge. Specifically Ive herd that when you apply for tdiu that they make you do c@p exams. Im quite happy with my 50% rating for hearing loss and Im afraid that if I have to do another c@p for my hearing loss that my rating for hearing loss could potentially be reduced. It could just aslikely be increased however I would hate to mess up a good thing. So is that how it works? Do I have to do c@ps all over again if I claim tdiu or am I getting bad information? Thank you for any help

  11. Once I do the notice of disagreement can I submit more evidence and still keep effective date?
  12. Hi. I put in several claims in July 2013. Last month is September 2014 I was service connected for several claims and denied for many others. My award went from 40% to 70% and I am very grateful. My question is this. How do I keep my effective date of July 2013 for the several claims that were denied? I will be providing IMOs and or IMEs within the next six months in order to hopefully have these denied claims service connected. Thank you very much for any help on this matter as I want to make sure I do things right this time
