  1. As already stated above, I am sorry for what you went thru. As you have already stated, there were a few steps that need to be redone. I always tell Vets, that #1 you have to make sure you Get Diagnosed and Treated thru the VA, then you dont have to fight the "Who is a Better Psych Doc, the VA or Civilian Lolly Pops".  Even though the Bipolar sounds bad to you, in the End really it is Helpful as the VA C&P Doc is admitting that you are Messed up and it is from your Time in Service. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless

  2. You are not supposed to be working my friend. I only have 70% for PTSD, but that along with my TBI, I was found "Not able to handle my Finances and a Danger to Society" so I had to Resign as a Federal Agent. 100% for a Mental Condition, basically states that a Vet has Severe Mental Condition, unable to Function Properly in Society or the Work force, due to a Threat of Harm to oneself of others. Again, I am no expert, just my opinion, that only you can decide if working is worth the Benefits and Pension that you Receive. Good luck and keep us posted.

  3. First off Welcome aboard and happy to see another Good Vet get on the Hadit Train.  You should file a VA claim as long as you were diagnosed, and continue to seek treatment. As far as a Medical Discharge, I seriously doubt it bud. Your wording states Onset of Asthma, not Chronic. If you are not currently getting health care at the VA, you should be. I have bad Asthma with black spots and scar tissue on my Lungs, yet I only get 10%. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless and  hope you have a good Christmas.

  4. Sorry to hear of your hard times, but the Education should not have much effect on your Rating, as long as your Diagnoses is Documented and you are currently seeking treatment.  I actually did not have my HS when I joined the Navy. While in I got the diploma in 2006, and from 06-13 I got 2 Bachelors, Double Masters and was working on my Doctorate, while graduating Magna. Being smart or dedicated has nothing to do with PTSD. During that time I spent 3 months in a Mental Hospital and worked 2 part time jobs while being active, as I was  Geobachelor and had to keep my mind distracted.  Sorry for the rambling, basically as long as the symptoms and history of treatment is there you will be fine. I trully wish you the best my friend. Good luck and keep us posted, God Bless
