  1. Sorry to hear that everyone is having such a hard time. What ultimately do we do for the Pain? Live on Pills for Life, See DRs for Life, what is the Answer? I dont Drink or Take any ILLegal Drugs, but I dont think that those are the answers either.  In the end, I dont think that anyone will take full responsibility for anything. We just have to make the best of it, try to Live for our Families, and do what is right. Good luck to all of you on here and God Bless!!!

  2. Sorry you had to go thru that. It is sad that this happens to often. I have had such a hard time with what happened to me as a kid, that I have never even talked about it with the VA or SSDI. Sad thing is that what you went thru has so much to do with so Many Vets out there that are Faking or Lying about disabilities and it hurts us all. I always try to remember that VA Folks and Docs are Human too, and boy do they over step their boundaries many times. Again so sorry for you, and wish you the best. Good luck and God Bless!!!

  3. Everyone above is right on the money. Hell the VA didnt want me to work with 70% VA, and SSDI found me to a danger to the public due to PTSD. It that person is working, then in my opinion is either better off then me Mentally or needs to get it reduced to 70%. Only that Vet can decide if it it worth loosing benefits and money to work. Remember that one day we will all be Too Old, Tired or Sick to work, and at that point we have to live with whatever income we have. Good luck and thank you for helping a fellow Vet!!!

  4. I had 6 concussions in Service and lost a piece of the top of the skull, and the VA did not grant SC for TBI until after the first Brain Scan. I never knew to even apply for TBI, it was Recommended after my first set of Exams while I was Nearing my Medical Retirement time line. You just have to remember that a Doc or PA stating " I believe Vet has this or that issue, or Veteran States" means nothing as far as an Actual Test, Exam, Scan or Official Diagnoses. The problem is too many Vets out there Claiming to have an issue, and when The VA Spends Big Dollars and Digs Deep they find no Medical Evidence in the End. I myself have tried to help multiple Vets who told me one thing, we go the extra mile helping with their claim, only in the end to come back that there was No Medical Evidence to validate their claim, and then I felt stupid and upset that I wasted alot of my time and VAs resources. It is the old Kindergarten Mentality, where 1 Vet messed it up for everyone else. If you say you are Hurt or Sick, we Vets on Hadit believe you, but we dont grant you SC, only the VA can do that with the Medical Evidence.

  5. I understand as I do not like tight spaces either. The last few Scans I had were in the Open machines, and it made a world of difference.  We get what your saying bud, but without the Physical Evidence, all it will be is Pure Speculation. You know the Docs will note on the exam "Vet States he has this or that issue" yet no evidence to back it up. In the time I have been on the site and in my personal experience helping Vets, I have not heard of anyone having close to 50 Scans and MRIs over the last few years as I have. I think that if I can make it thru so many, yet hard, but were worth it in the end, then I believe you can make it thru a few more. Only you can decide what is best for you. I have other MH issues that are coming up over time, due to the TBI and I would like to keep in eye on my health, as I have a young family, and I have been note to be too hard headed in the past and put off my health. Sadly it caught up to me at a very young age, please take care of your self and do whatever you have to do to get it squared away. Good luck and God Bless my friend.

  6. Sounds you need to put in a NOD with the new evidence. Fastest way would be just to reopen the denied condition which is what I did multiple times and was awarded SC in the end. Also remember that multiple conditions can be grouped under one. I have a ton of Intestinal, Esophagus and Crohns Disease and they are all under 1 condition at 30%. Also if you are at 90% currently it will still take quite a bit to get to 100%. As you can see from my Signature, it took a lot of bad stuff to reach the 100%. If you reopen the denied condition, then you will be granted back to when you submit the button on ebenefits, if you do a NOD then the VA will back date to when you originally filed, but it will take longer for the claim to complete. Only you can decide what path is best for you. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless

  7. Sorry for what you have been going thru bud.  Have you not had a Brain and Head Scan? I have had multiple over the last couple of years. In fact had one last year, and was diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome. I always say that regardless of what the VA, DOD or SSA says, No evidence speaks louder then Physical Evidence such as MRIs, Scans and Ultra Sounds. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless

  8. Congrats on the increase bud. As far as an increase for your back, you should go get an IMO as that would be better for your case then not having anything at all.  As far as the Docs not wanting to fill out the DBQs, sadly that is just how it is these days. Currently there is no VA Instruction on file that I know of, that requires the Docs to fill out DBQs. Good luck and wish you the best. Keep us posted

  9. I am not an expert when it comes to ratings and conditions. I am rated for 10% for Damage of Cranial Nerve, but it is actually for A throat surgery I had thru the Navy Hospital that went wrong. The Doc Cut my throat and Tongue pretty bad, and burned alot of the taste buds. I did not even know to apply for this, and so the VA granted me SC but really did not have a specific Condition to rate it for. I am rated 30% for Scars totally separate that includes alot of scars from body, that includes multiple surgeries and MRSA. So I really dont know what to say, except that I am one of the few Vets that I know that has a High % for Scars. Most guys get 0% and very few granted 10% or higher. Good luck and keep us posted

  10. Welcome aboard and glad you made it thru the exams. It sounds like you might meet the Criteria for IU.  Have you filed for SSDI? As stated above, what is  your current work situation? Good luck and keep us posted, also it would be better if you post the actual Exam Results on here. God Bless
