  1. I am truly sorry for your wreck and what you have gone thru in Life. But again I just don't get where you and the Police stated that you broke the Law and want the VA to Compensate you. You chose to Drive Illegally and Drink, sorry to say but that is on you. I had a Simple throat Procedure when I was Active, and it was Performed by AF DRs, well they messed up and almost killed me. I had to have another emergency surgery, 1st Blood Transfusion, and a few weeks in Hospital while my 2yr and baby girls were worried at home with my young wife, and I was 28 at the time. Well the VA noted that it was a Botched Surgery, and I have a 10% For Cranial Nerve Damage. Basically my Wife could have sued the Military, and I go after the Military or VA, but I decided to leave it be, as I am glad to be alive. Even though you drove Illegally and Intoxicated, but somehow believe it was someone else fought, then you need to Fight GM not the VA or Military. That is why there is such a Dang Back Log thru the VA, because of Claims like this. No one is denying your struggles in Life.    Do you Work, or Collect SSDI?  Have you resolved your Alcohol issues, or do you need any other form of help?  Just seems that you are Hell Bent on going after the VA, instead of Resolving these Issues.  Good luck my Friend, and God Bless

  2. I was too bud, I did not want to ask cause I am only 33 and was just Medically Retired 2 years ago. I thought that the VA would be sniffing at my butt for the next 20 years until I got gray hair. But in fact, I just have too many medical issues for the VA to not accept that I will not get better. I mean I have a handful of items that I have not even filed for, to include Sleep apnea, which by itself will be 50%. I am just fine leaving it alone for now. Just continue to seek treatment at the VA, and soon enough you will be permanent. God Bless

  3. Congrats on the SC, and I totally agree with USMC. I have a ton of Mental Issues, but all rated under 70% PTSD. Remember that all similar conditions the VA will group. I have GERD and Barretts Esophagus rated under my 30% Crohns Disease, yet they are not the same and treated differently. The VA will not "Pyramid" multiple conditions that are in the same group per their CFR regulations. I was granted Tinnitus, and I did not even ask for it, due to my Naval Aviation MOS. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless

  4. Sad to say that this happens all the time bud. I just got rid of my PCP at one VA hospital, and got transferred to a  Local Dr that is part of the VA clinic system. My last PCP on my 1st Dr Visit, asked how I came up with the diagnoses of Crohns Disease, TBI and Migraines. I told her that I am SC for all while I was active, and crohns since 2009, WTH.   I also had another PCP that put notes in that I was a 45 yr old Female Recovering Alcoholic, yet I am a 33 yr old male, and never drank a day in my life.  Good luck and keep us posted.

  5. No matter whether the VES or VA, that Exam is pretty much what they all do, basic. Even my SSDI exam doc then the same thing. But in the end it doesn't mean much, as the RO for the most part uses MRIs and X Rays when it comes to Bone and Joint Issues. As long as you have MRIs and treatment records that is all you need to be SC. I have had a few Good Exams at Dallas VES, you should try the VES in Tyler, now that was a Joke. Old Doc didn't even know my name or have my records to look at. So the VA RO just bypassed the Exam and was Granted SC on both Knees with VA Treatment Records and MRIs. Good luck and keep us posted

  6. Very first date I went on with my wife, she was almost 18 and I was 21. Well her 15 yr sister over dossed on Zanax in her bedroom. I run in there, Pick up her body and carry her into the living room. I perform CPR for a few minutes and bring her back to life. Called 911 and they took her to the hospital and pumped her stomach and she spent a few days in the hospital, and her mother sent her to a rehab for teenagers. I was not in the Military at the time, and boy what a first date. Here 13 years later, my wife and I are still together, her mother killed herself, and yet no one ever thanked me or even realized what I had done. There just seems to be a lot of crazy things that we go thru in life, yet somehow we make it thru the tough times, and as humans become ungrateful, and just don't Thank God as much as we should. You are a good person with a Big Heart and that is all that matters my Friend!!!

  7. Sorry you feel that way bud, and I get it totally. I was raised Mexican since I was a baby, and I come from a Family that never expressed emotion, say thank you, or even be proud of my 10 years of service. My dad thinks that PTSD is a made up word, and I am just crazy. At 33 it still bothers me, and we are currently had a falling out about 8 months ago, with no words since. My mother died when I was 14, and have no other living relatives except for a few siblings, and my Biological Father Raped my Mother, and boom me and my Twin were born. I feel so lost most days, as to where I came from and where I am going.
