  1. My last 3 FDCs were over due, or sat at the Prep for Decision for Months. In my case it was usually a good thing, as VA would either Reconsider the C&P Exam Doc Info, and look over it again, or Granted me a Couple Conditions that I did not even know or ask for.  After Multiple FDCs and 30 C&Ps in the last 2 years, believe me I know the Craziness that you are experiencing. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless

  2. DD,

That is just how the process works. The VA makes you go back in and that is whether the C&P Doc states that you are the same or have gotten worse without improvement, and that is when IU is awarded. I was made 100% Temporary in late 2013. Then last summer the VA reviewed all of my Conditions early and I had to do a long PTSD review as well. Those conditions popped up on Ebenefits as a New Claim for Increase, which is how the VA list those Reviews. Then I went to the Exams, and a few months later VA made me 100% Permanent with no future exams. I know that you do not want to go in for a C&P, but you have to remember, what if you put in for IU, but in fact VA says that you have not been Seeking Treatment at the VA or Taking Meds, or you go to Work, then instead of Granted IU, the VA would in fact lower your current 70% PTSD. Sorry Bud, but just part of the Process, nothing Specially bad or out of the way as far as the VA goes. Good luck and keep us posted.

  3. Berta thanks for the info. I know I had 6 concussions while in service, and he VA tried to say at first that all those concussions would not cause TBI. Sure enough, next C&P ordered a Brain Scan and there it showed up on the results, and I got diagnosed with PCS this year. Just dont get what it is going to take for the Govt to accept Responsibility for these Crappy Wars and the Damage it is causing to the American People and Good Ole Vets.  Sorry for the rambling, and I really do appreciate all the great info you have listed in the Years I have been a member on Hadit. Hope you have a great 2016!!!

  4. Welcome aboard and sorry for what you are going thru as I was actually diagnosed with Crohns Disease after a Deployment to Afghanistan where I got a Bacterial Infection in my lower intestine.  As long as you have the proof showing you were in the area, I dont see no reason not to apply for IBS. What are you currently SC for? Maybe you could list the IBS Secondary to one of those conditions. Good luck and again glad to have a new Fellow Vet on Hadit.  God Bless

  5. Guay,

You are taking what I said way too far to the Left. I have multiple Triple Narcotics that I have to take that are not pain meds. I as well as anyone else had to Sign those Med Agreements. Not all Vets that take any form of med is a Druggy, or whatever you are implying that I said. What I only said, is that due to the Over Prescribing and Taking of Meds due both to DRs and People who do not take medication as Recommend or become addicted to them and take more then issued per DRs request. The problem that I see most of the Time, Vets will come to me and say, I cant Get my Pains, and they give me the DRs are sorry, or some idiot messed up my prescription. So what happens, I offer to help as I feel for their pain. Call the Local VA, or their Pharmacy and they said well the Patient has Requested his Prescription to be filled early, due to over medicating, or the Prescription as actually Expired and the Doc wont Renew without patient going in to be reviewed for treatment. So if a Vet is in fact wrong in both ways, then how is is the Doc or VAs fault. Just not enough people out there taking responsibility for their actions. It is the Old Kindergarten Effect, one kid messed it up for the rest, so we all have to suffer.  I have a little brother who has been an drug addict for 20 years, so this subject is very sensitive to me as well. Hope you all have a Happy New Year!!!

  6. Sorry for what you are going thru bud. What I dont understand is if you had all of the Needed Evidence then how did you end up on the Appeals Route? I was denying a bunch of stuff when I was first Medically Retired in 2013. Within the Next 18 months, I just Reopened the Denied Conditions and Submitted the Same Original Evidence and all but a few were Granted. Physical Evidence is hard to argue with, even the VA cant deny it, when it is in front of them. Good luck and wish you the best.   God Bless

  7. Sorry for what you are going thru bud, but due to So many Vets Over Medicating and Taking advantage of the Pain Medications, the VA has to treat all Vets like this. I deal with alot of pain every day, but I can not take anything at all, due to my Crohns and 2 blood transfusions, so I figure is I can take the Pain 17 Surgeries later and more to Come, then maybe other folks will get on board. Just too many good Vets hooked on this stuff. Either way it makes it hard for Good Folks to Get their Pain Meds. Good Luck and God Bless

  8. Sorry to hear of what you are going thru. One quick note, is that you must be Treated or Diagnosed for a condition while in Service, not just your words on the exit exam. Also, the VA will always ask for a VA Doc to Diagnose and Treat MH conditions, we all know that on here. You cant wake up one day and say a New Diagnoses of PTSD is due to my Neck hurting, just an example, as I had a Vet that I was helping try this, and boy the VA denied SC in about 2 Mins. Just make sure that, DRs Diagnoses, VA Treatment and Your STR mach completely to what you are filing for. Physical Evidence is Evidence, no matter what C&P Doc, or VA says, Evidence that can be Touched and Read will always win in the End. Just try to calm down and relax. Good luck and Keep us posted. God Bless and hope you have a Happy New Year!!!

  9. Welcome aboard and I am so Sorry for your Loss. I too Contracted MRSA while at Walter Reed in 2011 and it almost killed me and my family. I had it cut out of me 7 times. The VA only rated it at 0%, but gave me 30% for Severe Scars due to MRSA and a few other Surgeries. I totally agree with Asknod and Berta. Good luck to you and God Bless.  Please keep us posted

  10. Welcome aboard and Congrats on the 100%. As far as being Temporary, You can look at my Signature and see all of the High %s that I was granted SC, and yet I too was Temporary for 18 months, and I have not even filed for Sleep Apnea and a handful of conditions. I was considered Temporary thru the VA cause I am only 33, and yet SSDI considered Permanent, and Endangerment to Society and not able to handle Finances. Permanent Navy Retired, and the VA pays my Wife almost 2k Per Month on the Highest Tier Level to take care of me, yet it took them a while to make me Permanent. Just part of if my friend. Just continue to seek treatment thru the VA, so they can not try to say that you are all of a sudden Cured. As far as MRSA, I contracted it from Walter Reed after my Second throat surgery, and had it cut out of me 7 Times, yet the VA rated me 0%, but granted me 30% for Severe Scars from MRSA and other surgeries. Never seems to amaze me how the VA works in Crazy ways sometimes. Good luck and keep us posted. God Bless

  11. In the End all that Matters is you get the Money. When I was first Retired in 2013, I did not get a $ for 8 or 9 months. We went thru our saving and dang near starved. I finally swallowed my Pride and went to ask for Food Stamps. The Local Food Stamp Office called and said that I had too many Assets that I owned. Said if I sold one of my Cars I would get $114 a month in Food Stamps WTH. Basically we were being penalized for owning our Cars. Yet a Dope Head or Ex Con can get better benefits then us Vets, and not even have to ask for them. Sorry for the rambling bud. I am glad you won, and hopefully your money will be in the Ole Bank soon enough. God Bless and Hope you have a Happy New Year!!!

  12. Glad to see you made it thru the exam. I feel your pain, as I have dealt with Crohns for a long time now. Your situation is similar to mine, in that, I have had a few C&P exams where the Doc either Diagnosed me with a New Condition, that was granted SC. or the Doc would explain that my Current Diagnoses was Either MisDiagnosed while in Service, or Not Treated Properly. Either way, I have had the VA grant me SC in the end and usually well granted.  I would wait and see what the VA RO says ultimately in your Decision Letter, then go from there. VA gives us Hell 90% of the Time, and 10% of the Time they actually do their Job Well!!!!   Good luck and keep us posted bud. God Bless and hope you have a Happy New Year!!!
