  1. Not a bad thing, my original 10% for R knee was listed as Osgood, or some DRs call it "Teenager Jumping Knees" from playing sports as a kid, and they claim our knees never grow out of it. Yeah right, anyways R Knee was later changed to a different condition after my L knee was granted SC. Getting the SC is the key, you can always submit for an increase after that. Remember that I am only 10% for R Knee, and another 0% for something else of that knee, even though I have had 2 surgeries already.   Good luck

  2. Sorry to hear of your issues bud, but as C&P doc stated, you can not be granted SC prior to the VA Docs officially diagnosing you. I have Severe Crohns Disease and Barretts Esophagus, in fact I am having a throat surgery next week, and yet I am only rated 30% for all of those conditions together. It just sounds like most of the conditions you are claiming, are what you are telling the VA, not what you have been diagnosed with Medical Evidence or DRs. It does not matter if you have a 100 disabilities, if they are not Medically Documented. It will continue to just be your word against the VA. If you have all of these medical conditions, then you need to get an IMO or Nexus from an outside DR to link all of your conditions to your time in Service. Very sorry for what you are going thru. Good luck and keep us posted.

  3. Glad to hear you made it thru the hearing, but timelines are hard to say. Most folks on here have waited up to 2 years. It judge goes in your favor, you will still have to go to the VA for exams and for the VA to review evidence and decide on what % if any to grant along with the SC. I have seen Vets go thru all this for years, and then VA grant them a SC of 0%. Really don't have an actual answer for you at this time. Good luck and keep us posted

  4. Welcome aboard, and in my opinion you need to seek care for a while with your PCP and VA Docs, build a line of info with them, and then ask for help. I have seen too many Vets go into the VA once or twice and then want the VA docs to fill out 20 DBQs, and when the VA Docs turn them down the Vet claims to not know why. Everything comes with time and documentation, most of us did not get 100% over night. It takes a lot of research, and sad thing, Sick Vets that have the Medical Evidence along with MRIs XRays and different test to prove the medical conditions. I always say that Evidence is Evidence is Evidence, no need to reinvent the wheel. Good luck, God Bless and keep us posted

  5. Congrats on the 100% and sorry to hear of your issues bud. I was Medically Retired in Feb 2013 at 30 yrs of age, and now at 33 VA Permanent, SSDI and Wife is paid by VA to be my caregiver, actually going to have 2 surgeries over the next 2 weeks. I have to accept that I can not or should ever work, and that is a long road ahead of me considering my age. What I am trying to say is that only you can decide what is best for you and your family. Are you willing to risk your guaranteed 100% along with the money and benefits that come with it. There are a lot of Homeless and Sick Vets that would literally die for your current benefits. We all want to go on with our lives, and not just live in a house waiting to die, but at the same time we have to take our lives one day at a time. Good luck, God Bless and keep us posted

  6. Sounds to me like the big wigs Reviewed you claim, and decided to go further investigate. Bull Crap in my opinion, but it does not matter bud, you go in there, standing tall with all of the original evidence and you will be taken care of in the end. Good luck and keep us posted

  7. What is funny about my situation, was that I should have not been allowed to continue in the Military, but since I have my Top Secret Clearance and Middle east being my expertise the Navy kept it all hush hush, until I put in my package to be a Nuclear Officer, and then the Navy pulled the Old you can not submit an Officer package if you have an Incureable Disease, and then all of a sudden the Navy said time to get out!!!

  8. So you did not get Medically Retired, why did you take the Discharge, did  you not want to be in the Military any longer? I was medically retired in Feb 13 at age 30 after 10 years Active, with Deployments to OIF/OEF. What I am trying to say is that I was in the Military over 4 yrs after I was diagnosed with Crohns and multiple health issues, before the Navy decided to Retire me. Then again, I was a tough son of a gun, and still ran a mile in a half, in less than 10 mins. It seems like it will be hard to get Rehab, going by other Vets that I have seen go thru the process. Hopefully an expert will chime in. Good luck and keep us posted bud.

  9. Welcome aboard and sorry to hear of your issues. Was there good supporting evidence for the conditions that were denied?  Is his PTSD bad enough that you could submit an FDC claim and request an Increase? Do you have Military evidence or buddy letters that support your husband was in De nang and exposed to AO? Can you post the actual denial decision, with your personal info blacked out of course, so we can see why those conditions were denied. Keep us posted and God Bless

  10. Congrats bud, as I just got my Official Permanent paperwork yesterday. Don't know about the license stuff, but as far as working, only you can decide what is best. Are you willing to give up $2900+ a month for you current job? Do you have a high Mental Health Condition %? There are a lot of Starving and Homeless Vets out there that would die to have your 100% rating, speak with your family and figure out if everything you have gone thru is worth you risking your VA money. Good luck and God Bless

  11. Hard to say bud, but the same thing happened to me back in Jan 15. I was rated 100% Temp with a Reevaluate scheduled for Feb 2016, instead the VA decided to Review all of my conditions on Feb 2015. It was brutal exams, especially the PTSD Review, but as of a few days ago, I am officially Permanent, no more exams. I hope that is the same for you. Good luck and keep us posted

  12. As stated above, an IMO helps, but the VA is who needs to Diagnose you with PTSD. You have to remember that just about anyone can go to a Civilian Doc, pay them enough money, and get a Diagnoses of PTSD or some other Mental Health Condition. If all this evidence was in your Military Records, why were you Denied thru the VA. Without you submitting your Denial or Evidence on here, we will not be able to fully help you. Sorry to hear of your issues, but please go more in detail, and we will give it our best. Good luck and keep us posted

  13. Looks like a very good deal for the first go around, as far as the PTSD deferred, it looks like the VA will look at it in the Near Future. Getting the SC granted is the hard part, after that you can always put in for an increase if you feel that condition has gotten worse. Always remember that when you file new claims, the VA can always request to review your other conditions. As far as the back I think you did good, as I developed a whole in my spine to go along with the DDD and Nerve damage and I was given a 20% and a 10% SC, so your %s over all to me look to be well granted. Only you can decide what is best for you. As I tell all Vets, it takes a lot more then what folks think to get 100% SC. Good luck, God Bless and keep us posted bud.
