Boy talk about a Roller Coaster of Status, don't know what to say bud. Good luck

Sorry to hear of your hard times bud, and yes Pete is on the money. I was Medically Retired in Feb 2013 after I spent 3 months in a Civilian Mental Hospital while on Active Duty. I became Permanently VA 100% Today, I am only 33, and I collect SSDI and my Wife is paid by the VA to take care of me, and yes I was found unfit to own weapons or handle finances. That is not the worse thing in the world, as I have a great Wife that takes care of everything. I don't think that Pete is being mean at all, basically he is informing you to not be embarrassed or scared about seeking benefits that you have earned and deserve. We are all for here, and truly wish you the best. I myself have been struggling for a long time prior to Hadit, and thanks to the Site and Great Folks on here, I am now Permanent and can focus on the health issues that are soon too come. Good luck, Keep us Posted, and God Bless my Friend!

Sorry to say bud, but the Dang VA Docs don't mind Diagnosing or Prescribing Meds. It is a whole different story when it comes to DBQs or Letters of Symptoms, as the Docs then act like they are Paralyzed with Fear!!!
-
To be honest bud, a lot of Vets including myself have been granted SC without a DBQ. They do help a lot, but most VA Docs wont or don't want to fill them out prior to your exam. As long as you had well documented evidence you should be fine. Sorry to hear the exam went bad, as we all know too well how that goes. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you guys very much, and yes I will try to breathe a little. Slick, Thanks for calling me Shipmate, it has been quite a while since that word has meant something to me, it really helps. Hope you guys have a good weekend, and just cause I am Permanent, don't mean I wont be around. I enjoy helping Vets and talking on here, that is what gets me thru the tough times. Goodnight guys and gals!!!

I just became Unofficially Permanent Today as Well, and I so feel like you bud. It has been a long struggle for us all. Now I can focus on my surgeries to come. Hope you have a good weekend, and we can both Begin YOGA, LOL!!!

Welcome aboard and sorry to hear of your issues, but everything helps bud, so you keep or submit whatever will help you in the end. Good luck and keep us posted

Congrats, and I have to agree with Asknod on this one. That is why I myself turned down 77K severance and instead took the Military Retirement. I really needed that money, but it was a smart decision for me in the long run. The policy states if you take the Severance it will be paid back prior to receiving VA Comp pay. My good friend is going thru this currently, and he greatly regrets taking the severance. Good luck and God Bless

I am so Happy, yet Emotional, as of Today 9/18 I am now Permanent and Totally Disabled!!! It has been a long 3 years and I never thought this is where I would be at 33 years old. God Bless each and every one of you that have Supported and Helped me when I really Needed it. You are all Truly my Family, and I mean it more then words could ever say. I want to give Thanks Specifically to Berta, Carlie, Jbasser, Navywife, Asknod, Rootbeer, and many folks that I can not remember off hand. Thanks Thanks and more Thanks is all the words that I can get out at this moment. God Bless!!!!

The 2020 timeline sounds like a usual mistake on Ebenefits. As far as a new claim for PTSD, if you are currently SC for PTSD, then this might be a Review.
