  1. Betty, Yee Haw, let me do the boot scootin' Hokey Pokey once again for you! wow Wow WOW ! You are such an inspiration, I believe someone here, dont know who, could help cowrite your story into a bestseller! Sending best wishes to your family, Cowgirl'up!
  2. Rock, seems like the door is open for NOD now for you in your recent claim. Do your Cfiles have what the VA response was in 2004? Here, double and triple check myself using energy from my Hadit family! best to ya, yay Cg It's a bit disconcerting that I am finding this letter now, when I should have found and made note of it when I first submitted my new claim in Jan. 2008. Rockhound Rider
  3. Carlie, you are a survivor and inspiration. Need jokes between appointments? let me know. Best to ya, Cg
  4. Ok y'all, just double checking, heard that its best to have ssdi sent to a single account. Heard that occasionally money woes could occur. Advice anyone? thanks a bunch. Cg
  5. Not sure if I can answer, but my experience with c&p exam for tdiu, focused on muscoskeletal issues, scars etc. The dr used my 'current' VA medical notes such as xrays, other exams. In my c&p notes, seemed like they ignored noting behavioral health issues (also one of my larger sc %). Am prepping my NOD with mental health highlighted as reason for iu claim. Not sure if you (or I) can ask that be 'assessed' or what a VSO would advise. Maybe someone else here can tell you and me how MH is 'weighed' for tdiu. Best to ya, Cowgirl
  6. Ok Rock gotcha. Now how about changing your percentage to 10% over there at the left<<<<<<<<<<<?? smiles Best to ya, Cg
  7. Jessie, that is fabulous news. Hope this helps your son alot; thank him and you for his service - what a mom Best to ya and him! Cg'up!
  8. Rock, you are keeping it all in order and doing well it seems. The EED has to meet the criteria, keep my fingers crossed for ya! Cues are strange creatures, Im sure youll do fine. Now regards your new pcp, glad you got a good match. When you check in the clinic, does the nurse or medical assistant ask you basic questions? say after blood pressure and pulse, do they ask if you need a pneumonia shot, review any meds you are on, and ask how are you feeling; sometimes they may mention ptsd or depression or ask if you need to talk to someone. Just wondering, that how I found my depression related to my sc issues. I somehow I FEEL that it should be higher, since I have to take medicine in order to get sufficient relief, that I can breath through my nasal pasages, even if it is only for the time I am sleeping and needing such relief so I can benefit from O2/ oxygen theripy for a condition called nocturnal hypoxia. Best to ya, Cg, ssdi approved!
  9. Hi, not sure if this sounds ok, but 'Have you requested your VA records?' or compensation file? Service Medical Records or any other data the VA has on you?' Do you need guidance as to where to go? or how to get a copy of your files? Here to help, CG
  10. kookie, Great news! Are you goin to laminate that calendar? wow, you just got started to get your due. Yay!!! Amen! and let the sun shine in. cg
  11. Wow, I am stunned, just informed of my first check date and amount. Thanks to everyone here at Hadit for continued encouragement and posted advice to try for ssdi compensation! Didnt know I had the oomph but was infused here - yee haw!! I am an American citizen that paid and still pays my dues. Next up, IU Nod? (recent denial) advice welcome~! When I get the envelope I'll really believe it. Not sure if it includes husband and kiddos as of yet, or backpay. Didnt ask clerk for more details, took me near 1/2 hour on hold, others probably waiting in line. God is good and mysterious in his ways! Cg'up!!
  12. Thanks Allan, Seems like you have connections to some super stuff. Can you help me? How do I check to see an old rating criteria and its changes. For instance, I claim tinnitus and I want the old rating criteria in 1992. How do I find the specific rating as of that time and any changes since? Thanks and hope it makes sense, cg
  13. Hello, did you check the exam worksheet to see if most of the items on it were covered? Also do get a copy of the exam notes that'll help clarify what was covered. Didn't apply for scar here but got 10% on my first claim. Best Cy
  14. Has jumped a few bars in my time...um, on horseback? Go ahead Larry, why not? I believe adult learners work harder in school cause they're the ones footing the bill probably. Heard that getting licensed as a paralegal is a breeze. Good Luck, cg
  15. Oh, yes, Congratulations, peace and comfort to you each. God Bless, CG
  16. Don, I'm speechless and celebrating you ! Oh my word, Glory be - you did it. You got whats due and certainly you dont need to apologize for not keeping in touch. You are really 'in touch' now! God is so good, do continue to take care of yourself and that wonderful family of yours. Take some time off the 'battle' for benefits and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Have someone along with you, check, recheck the dates and payments for accuracy!! As always, the best to ya, I am humble to your service, Don. Cowgirl
  17. Berta, sure glad you didnt give up the BVA reading your case thouroughly. Someday they'll catch up with the Jetsons, computer/computer video contact at your convienence at your home between claimant and member of the board, that'd be something!! Each military widow(er) should be respected above all. Have a piece of apple pie and recharge your super self! Best to ya, cg p.s. heard of TAPS, military widows group? Internal notes the BVA had access to show that the DRO apparently had no knowledge whatsoever of my IMos- and the BVA noted I had sent them to the RO many times.
  18. Thanks for the postive warm feedback, when I am done with it - I'll send it to the next person and family that needs it! Jbasser, all fingers are crossed, cg
  19. Yippeee Kappa****! - do check the dates and numbers to make sure you get whats due. Dependents too? Congratulations on getting your increase! Buy ice cream! tdiu denied here so far, but nope, not giving up are we?? arm in arm, step by step, Cg'up!
  20. Not exactly. IF you read what Berta wrote, that helps alot. CUE is after final decison, usually after a year, more involved longer process and goes to the BVA. Right now within the first year so my nod went to dro, usually quicker. Recommend you search and read about CUE on Hadit, sure helps me cause I dont retain the data like the computer does! Good question, didn't mean to confuse anyone more than me?! So far the EED is in progress and praying hard va sees the light! cg
  21. Thanks Ruby, I'll sit on the fencepost for now until I know better. If the claim is granted, does it go straight to bank or is there still more paperwork to do? thnks. cg
  22. Second the motion, where are the 'ground pounders' and current recipients of the 'system'? Wonder if they asked for volunteers? A veteran is not, I repeat, not a number on a survey. My vote, get real participants. Hope to see what the 'budget' is for this committiee. Dart board time. cg
  23. Just checked at ssa online, and called ssa 1800 for claim status, told me claim decided. Just praying here now, not sure what 'review' means exactly. &.(fingers crossed), Cg
  24. Rickzoo, just had my IU exam few months back. Nearly all (99%) of my sc issues were reviewed but didnt get exam for each. Dr used some recent va exam notes, xrays.etc. From scars to lumbar, was pretty much 'checked' with IU exam checklists. Dr. knew the list ahead of time, preset. If I were to redo the exam I would take my husband or a sister for support or witness. I do believe the doc was recording the session, because when the C&P exam notes were released to me, there were specific quotes doc said were mine. The c&p exam format notes I recieved conformed to the VA Vista format, very orderly, cut&dry questions from the exam worksheets. Dr answered. Yes or No to most. Very little detail. Used some current (year old) xrays and other va medical notes re sc issues. If I were to redo I'd submit a IMO directly to dr at the exam specifically addressed for C&P doc. Am doing NOD re other missing VA sc issues I feel werent well reviewed. Note: this dr.accepted recent medical report after exam. The c&p for iu has questions regards what a person does at home, out of doors, driving, shopping for groceries, laundry. Those items matter. Asked about lumbar issues sitting time, walking, and lifting or yard work. Asked rather urgently, so I know what to expect another time! Not all questions relate to what I do daily and no I dont do dishes! ha. Myself I have to stay in motion and can hardly sit stilll longer then 15-30 mins, (take seat cushion and back cushion to church). Wishing ya the best, Cg'Up!
