I believe that this is something many of us deal with on a frequent basis. Same tdoc gave me some "wonderful" (gag, choke, cough) advice about dealing with my extreme anger...........ready?.............she told me to just "not react". Wow! Wish I'd known it was that easy all along!! O...M...G...... I told her about a couple of specific incidents where a parent on my son's baseball team was upset because my son was playing one of his positions (3rd)...a position her son had been called up from the Jr team to play and now he was in the outfield. She was right behind me saying very negative things about my son...and yup, she knows who I am! Basically, my son is a …

I have chronic diarrhea and hyperlipidemia due to the meds I take for my Service connected condition. I am getting billed for two meds, one for chronic diarrhea and the other for hyperlipidemia. Both of these are side effects from the primary illness. My doctor(s) have already opined that these are secondary to my primary but the pharmacy is still billing me. Should these be fully paid for since they are related to the primary condition???? Jay

I've not been feeling well or doing well at all...all of this recent stress is getting to me in a very bad way. Very bad. Last week I called my tdoc, told her it was urgent that I needed an appt--she said the soonest she could see me was June 2nd. Lovely. She didn't even have time to talk to me on the phone. Nice. I mean it's bad folks....suicidal thoughts and all. Just not good stuff going on here. So today I went to the walk-in clinic at the Dayton VA. Just like I've been told to do when things get super crappy. It's actually on my list of what to do when I'm feeling suicidal. Filled in my form. Checked the box that said "Are you feeling suicidal?"...I sai…

I saw this topic in the "Member Needs" forum, but it's a pretty old thread and thought I'd post it here as well. The original question asked about carrying a CPAP on commercial airlines. I travel frequently and carry a CPAP. Under TSA guidelines (and mirrored by the airlines), CPAP is medical equipment and there is virtually no restriction to the medical equipment that can be carried aboard an aircraft. CPAPs and other medical equipment are in addition to the usual "1 carry-on & 1 personal item" limit. I've been asked all of twice about my "3rd bag" (the CPAP)--once by an airport employee at the entrance to the security line and once at the gate. "Medical equi…

This article shows how nanoparticles can kill healthy lung cells. If you wondered why almost all meds have shortness of breath as a symptom and side effect, then this is the probable cause. http://www.reuters.com/article/scienceNews...News&rpc=76

Ugh.....One of my problems lately has been a severe lack of sleep. I usually take 100mg trazodone each night; but it was having little to no effect nor help for my sleep. So the doc I saw last week told me to take 150mg each night. (Even though she completely screwed up the new script...made it for 75mg and yes, this is the acting chief of mental health!!) Anyway....OMG....I've been having such horrible nightmares since the dosage was increased!!! Last night's was terrifying and I can't get it out of my head. I was walking along a road, but it was like a frozen road....more like a frozen lake. In front of me, on a jet ski (yes aren't dreams just odd as hell), wer…
