Okay, I Am An Idiot...........
LOOK, PEOPLE! :) Some of you make it absolutely marvelous to help you! :D 1. WOW, some of you even write in complete, understandable sentences. 2. And, most of you even use punctuation. 3. And know to CAPITALIZE the FIRST letter of your NEW sentence. 4. And, you try really really hard to put things in order of their occurence, you know, like "this happened on 10/10/82 and then I did this on 12/03/83". 5. And, then, when you cannot make us to understand what you are trying to get across to us, and we ask you for more detail, you really deliver the goods, so to speak! And, when necessary, you always attempt to provide us with ALL the necessary information to …

Patient Advocate Story
Hello All, I wanted to share a Patient Advocate story and let some of you know that the PA is there for the Vet and did come to my aid recently. First to let you know that the VA PCP doctors can get information from the Veterans Benefits Administration. On my last appointment I brought in a new medical notebook, that I carefully put together, which had my Civilian doctors IMO's , test and opinions, treatment records. I also had the Service Medical Records and the VA Progress reports. I asked him why he did not put in the record that he did not want me to have a spa for my Peripheral Neuropathy, even though the Nuerologist and Podiatrist did and made prescriptions for it…

Amc..how To Keep Your Claim Out Of There?
Is anyone familiar with the AMC..that is, specifically how do I keep my claim from going there? I have heard horror stories, that the AMC is like the "Roach Motel" in that once you check in to the AMC your claim will never get out of there. Is this the place where the VA holds claim appeals while they wait for the Veteran to die? No one that I have ever heard of has ever gotten a claim out of AMC successfully..if you have, please speak up. Others, however, have said something about their claim being at AMC for 5 years while nothing happens on it. I can not understand the purpose of AMC. Do they forward claims to the BVA or CAVC? Do they decide claims? Is …

Hematologist
I hope for the best, but you never really know. My family care manager (FCM) wants me to see a hematologist about my blood work. It looks as if my blood pattern has changed. In 1991 I had my blood drawn and sent to a pathologist, and it concluded I had HGB-C which is a form on anemia. Well, I filed for this in my claim and it was denied. Today, my FCM, called and said she was scheduling me to see a hematologist. My medical records clearly shows my blood history, and, I have filed for this. We will just have to see how this saga ends. I have this all in my service medical records. Just one of the many things I am claiming, since I was never informed about it, during my TAP…

State Taxes
I dont know how many people rent or own but, I just found out today in the state of missouri if your 100 percent or disabled through social security you can get a credit for your personal property tax up to 750. per year if you rent or 1100 if you own. I also found out that you can file up to 3 years back which is a large chunk of change. im expecting over 2k so that is my cola for the year. Im sure that most states prob have this rule because missouri seems always last to implement anything. The big question for me was "why didnt i know about this before"?

lumbosacral Ivds
I am rated for 20% cervical strain and 10% Lumbosacral strain Diagnostic code-5237,i was denied for musculoskeltal pain because the claim was generalized, but within that staement it said i was service connected for degenerative disc disease and polyradiculopathy which were already included in my service connected cervical and lumbarsacral strains.I feel i should be rated under IVDS at a higher rating with this combinations of disabilities. I have peripheral neuropathy and radiculopathy with limited use for upper and lower extremities diagnosed at the VA medical center my claim for that is pending.. Thank You...

Sorry, I've poked around and around on site, did a search, but can't seem to find it. Of course, it's not on the VAOGC website (that I could find, anyway). Thanks to anyone who can help.
