ptsd Wrong Envelope!
I made a post in sucess stories, (3)which was a mistake because I only meant to post once, anyway another member suggested that I post here to get a better response from some of you elders out there. I was denied all three of my claims today and I am devastated. PTSD, Back, and Tinitus. I am a Iraq vet that was in Baghdad from 03 to 04 when all the poop was starting to hit the fan. I have obviously learned from this site that my first recourse is NOD which I will file tommorow. The specifics of my claim are on the success stories site but I will write them hear so I can reach as many people as possible. My PTSD was denied for these reasons 1. I failed to check off t…

Local Varo Moved
Our local VARO has moved from one location that was easily access by the City Transit System, One block from Bus Stop. They have Moved nearly clear across town to a location where the nearest Bus stop is about one mile away. I depend on City Transit and Handicap Transit to get around. Only if I am able to schedule my ride through Handicap Transit, am I able to get to the VARO or my VSO's office during bad weather. Even in good weather, and I can only get to the nearest Bus stop, I must make it my first stop, to be assured of having a near full charge for my electruc wheel chair, to get me their and back to the bus stop. As a disabled person, is their anyway I c…

Shoulder Surgery And Dc
I have a disability compensation of 30% for my shoulder that was injured in the service. I did have a shoulder dislocation before I joined but it was on my enlistment papers and they knew about it. The DC is for the shoulder and what they originally DX as narrowing of the subcromial space in my shoulder. Along with this I also have nerve damage and am taking medication for this on a daily basis. I have been to numerous doctors and have finally found an orthopedic doctor that has said she can fix this by surgery and said it is bicep tendonesis. She will have to put a pin in my shoulder and she thinks this will fix it, but not sure if the nerve pain will go away. I ha…

Denied Again
Sorry for the length but this is from the AMC received on a Friday (way to ruin a weekend). They do not mention the muscle atrophy or the bilateral leg numbness from the original claim in this decision. I have 60 days before this goes to BVA again. HELP!!!!!! What do I do now? I am trying to connect the left and the right legs secondary to my left hip due to altered gait, now it looks like they are trying to make this a result of my back, I was going to go after the back secondary to the hip due to altered gait after this one is done. I have walked with a limp since my injury in service in 1991. I do have pain constantly and was medically retired from the fire service…
