ptsd Simple Questions On Disability Percentages...
I am currently at 40%, planning to write an NOD on my last C&P evaluation for PTSD, and getting treatment in lieu of opening a new claim. I never fully understand the system and have these few rather simple questions- 1. In regards to the " Total Disability and unemployability" status as it pertains to a rating, is this different than the typical rating scheme? Is this initiated a separate process initiated by the claimant and not the VA? I am currently working and don't want to be in a position for the VA to say that I should not because of my disability ( and asset penalties ). 2. What are the criteria for someone to be rated beyond 100%? Thank you in advan…

diabetes Traumatic Brain Injury (tbi)
Just talking to The Wife (an Advance Practice RN who has been in Intensive Care nursing for years). She and I were talking about all the Vets with TBI and how easy it was to suffer these types of injury and she asked me whether any of my Hadit friends had DM and if so, had they suffered TBI. I said "huh?" She said "Honey, TBI causes Diabetes Mellitus.". Just a tidbit of info.

Interesting Historical Document On Agent Orange
This is a pretty interesting historial document on Agent Orange. Interesting on how the VA and other governmental agencies stacked the decks on the early studies. Also has some interesting discussion on the VA requiring distinct causal relationships - when the benefit of the doubt doctrine just requires statistical significance.(more likely than not) http://www.gulfwarvets.com/ao.html

Wording Of Ime/imo?
I will be providing my VA Psychiatrist with my Medical records used in my claims effert to SC my psychiatric problems I had in service to those I have now and to refute the PD/personality disorder they said was an alterhative diagnosis and used to deny my claim. What should be in their report or how should it read, so that not only does it say or show that my psychiatric problems today are a continuation of my in service psychaitric problems and to further refute the PD diagnosis? Even though my Psychiatrist has told me I do not have a PD, I would be just as happy for her to say that the PD was a seperate identity from the psychistric problems or as a result of th…

Va Prescriptions
I began getting my prescriptions from the VA a few months ago. Of course if they don't have the brand name they provide me with a generic equivalent. However I take one, TRIGLIDE, for which they say they can't help me with. Not even a generic equivalent. I am wondering if this is true and if not how can I get this medication or an equivalent. Thanks, Ruffcreek

Lawyer Unresponsive
I engaged a lawyer from tbe firm of Lieberman & Mark of Washington DC to represent me before the United States Court of Veterans Claims. She did get the court to remand the case back to the AMC and BVA and now it sets at the Local VARO, Louisville, Kentucky. I have researched and feel that I am the one doing all the work in perfecting my claim. She refuses to take my calls and as far as I can ascetain she has never contacted the VARO Appeals Management Team. I want to terminate her but my wife thinks if I do so it would set us up for a lawsuit. I have read the agreement between this lawyer and myself and feel that since she is reiticent in her duties she has breac…
