First Rough Draft Reconsideration Letter
Decision Service connection for Lumbar spondylolisthesis, (no diagnostic code), is granted with a evaluation of 10 percent effective November 9, 2001. Reconsideration I would like to have a reconsideration of this rating. After reviewing my latest independent medical examination, October 2007, by Craig N. Bash M. D., Neuro-Radiology, a highly credentialed specialist in the field of my disability. This was a medical examination, not a medical opinion after reviewing medical records. I feel the rating should be as follows; Diagnostic Code 5243 IVDS 40% rating for forward flexion (range of motion) of the thoracolumbar spine 30 degrees or less, mine is 25 …

Cue And Lawyers
The lawyer who was reviewing my CUE dumped me. He now says he is too busy and gave me a referral to some other joker. I think having a lawyer do a CUE is going to be hard because they don't want to risk it. They have to put money out there and they don't think they will get paid back with interest. I might try one more guy.

Svr Radio Tonight
This weeks guest on the SVR radio show featuring Jerrel Cook as host will be Beverly White. In 1970 Bev received the shock of her life when she was called by then-Utah Gov. Calvin L. Rampton and asked if she would represent Tooele as a state legislator for the next year. Chilean Halladay, who had been elected to that job, died with a year still remaining on his legislative term. Bev consented to finishing the term, vowing she would never run for election. But when 1971 rolled around, she found herself on the state representative ballot. Little did she know at that time that she would be elected 10 times as a state legislator & each term consisting of two years. …

Bva Decision 86
Is there a way to check on a BVA decision from 86. I had a claim in 86 that was mostly denied for increase, I never followed through on it, and went my merry way away from the VA. I just found a letter dated 4/30/86 Your file has been temproarily transferred to the BVA in Washingtion, D.C. If you will want a hearing, we will recall your file from the BVA's which will result in delay of consideration by them. Plese advise this office immediately if you still wish a hearing. I am starting to understand now, I did get the BVA results and the back was remanded, and I didn't do anything. I didn't understand what I was suppose to do-long story. Does this me…

Blue Water Navy Vets
from Rick Spaturo NVLSP: "Hi Berta, Thanks for spreading the word. Just remember that we aren’t looking for sailors who “handled, prepared, cooked or had eaten any meat or fish products from Vietnam,” since that would likely include tens of thousands of sailors. We’re looking for Supply Officers or other personnel with firsthand knowledge of where the food originated. In other words, Sailors who were responsible for acquiring the food and could provide sworn statements that food served on their ship was grown (fruits, vegetables, etc.) or raised (meat, fish, milk, etc.) in the Republic of Vietnam. Thanks again! Sincerely, Rick Richard V.…

Moving Along Slowly On My Claim
My husband filed for SC for lung cancer prior to his death Feb. 5, 2007 I filed for DIC and accrued benefits May 2007 I have just been WAY busy and haven't been following up aggressively on the claim - but get a bit of time to work on it from time to time - and it is getting close to moving toward the top of my priority list as soon as I get done wading through everything else that is above it. I have some questions I can start working on a bit now. 1. I received a denial and SOC on November 8, 2007. This was prior to the one year I had to submit evidence. I know I will have to get an IMO to submit. When I get the IMO should I a. Submit it and any other …

diabetes New To The Board, And A Question
I have been reading this board for a while as a guest, but just actually registered today. I have a question. My hubby is a Vietnam Vet, (69-71, Tay Ninh, Cu Chi, Nui Ba Dinh, Long Bien) and has 20% for AO related Diabetes, and we are currently doing claims for PTSD, Kidney failure and High Blood Pressure. My question is this: I filed his PTSD claim with the VSO (who, of course, sent it to the VA) in August, and received the standard "We need a stressor, blah blah blah" in December. I carefully researched everything my husband was claiming, got his personnel records from the Army, and put together a packet which included: His Stressor letter, My Stressor let…

ptsd Va C & P Service Clinicians Guide
http://www.warms.vba.va.gov/admin21/guide/...iciansguide.doc Chapter 13 - MENTAL DISORDERS 13.1 What general information should be provided in examinations for mental disorders? Information required for a disability evaluation of a psychiatric disorder (or an alleged psychiatric disorder) is essentially no more extensive than a discerning examiner would want for his/her own use in an adequate understanding of a patient. The evaluation requires a report that sets forth a clear and complete word picture of the patient as a whole person, what he/she is like, and how able he/she is to take care of himself/herself and earn a living. The examination worksheets describe …
