Truth About Dr. Bash
I have been away from Hadit for a while, but I just read a recent topic about Dr. Bash and I want to provide facts, not conjecture, about the value of his IMOs to disabled veterans. The attached letter from the office of Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs acknowledges the importance of his medical opinion (calling his medical opinions “extremely valuable and necessary”). It will also dispel any notion (as implied in the recent Hadit post) that Dr. Bash is self-serving in reviewing tons of medical records and C-files to provide an accurate medical opinion for veterans. One can see in this letter that he even takes time to try to correct problems within the VA claims pro…

Question For Berta
Hi Berta, I was told by a NP C@P examiner last week that for Coronary Artery disease the Ejection fraction is how they measure MET. He said that an ejection fraction of 30 to 50 is equal to 60 percent which I saw in the directives. He then said that an ejection fraction measured by Angio or Heart Cath outweighs one taken by a stress test for a stress test or echo is only an estimate. Its funny for a VA stress test measured 53 but the Actual heart cath measured 50. Have you ever heard this, He also discussed my A1C and said I need to prepare to file for DM. This may be an important point for Vets that are between the 30 and 60 percent rating for any heart related di…

Ouestion: Emg And Ncs
EMG/NCS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had an EMG/NCS performed I rceived the results but I am a little lost with understanding what the results mean. ECS Impression: Abnormal nerve conduction study. This study suggest the patient has a asymmetrical motor > sensory neuropathy versus a polyradiculopathy with a superimposed sensory neuropathy. EMG impression: Slightly abnormal electromyography. Evidence of chronic denervation (large amplitudes or polyphasic units) was seen in the tibialis anterior and vastus lateralis, possibly related to a longstanding Ly radiculopathy. no evidence of acute or ongoi…

Why Doesn't The Amc Have To Follow Bva Remand?
Why doesn't the AMC have to follow the guidelines of the Remand by the BVA? Remand 7. After the above development has been completed, the veteran's claims file should returned to the board of VA psychiatrists who participated in the April 2005 examination for clarification of the provided opinion. They should be requested to review the record and reconcile their opinion as to etiology in light of the evidence added since their examination of the veteran, including the May 2005 statement of Dr. B C. C and the January 2006 statement of Dr. M P. If neither of these examiners is available, ( They ar…

Va Watchdog
Watchdog has an article in it about the problems the VA is going to face dealing with massive number of new disability claims. I think the pressure will be to fall back to treating the service disabled vets and indigent and raising costs for NSC vets if they actually want to be treated by the VA. I just see NSC vets being excluded from services in the future. Just treating and paying for SC vets is going to be a burden on the tax funds available under Bush and Co. GWB created this problem but he had help.

Will The Bva Call Fraud On Their Own Va. Doctors?
Will the BVA call Fraud on their own Doctors'? October 6, 2006 Dear---- We are writing in connection with the claim that was remanded by the Board of Veterans Appeals on April 10, 2006, however we need additional information or evidence. WHAT WE HAVE DONE? We asked the VA medical facility who conducted your April 2005 examination to review and make a new medical opinion in your appeal. They may contact you to report for a new exam. This exam is very important. If they ask you to report and you fail to attend the exam, we may have to deny your claim, or you might be paid less than you otherwise would. If you can't report for the examination as scheduled, con…

Ao Hold Letter From Va
This is what the new AO hold letter, for Blue Water Vets, looks like. I have chopped the letter in size to use less web space. I also removed my name and file number. Go to the button at the lower right to expand the Letter. As you move your curser the expand button will appear at the bottom right of the letter.
