Up until a couple of days ago, I never thought I had any heart problems other than a mitral valve prolapse. Earlier this week I had been to my private primary care doctor for a cough and intermittent chest pain. I had undergone a stress test and an echo of my heart in July by my cardiologist and was told everything looked fine so I did not think my recent chest pains were caused by heart problems. My pcp did a chest x-ray and EKG and said it wasn't my heart and he diagnosed me with pleurisy and bronchitis. Wednesday night of this week I started experiencing severe chest pains and my wife called 911. I took an ambulance trip to the emergency room. After running some…

Cue Questions In Claims Research Forum
I have been seeing a lot of CUE questions in this forum. The criteria for CUE is here: and explained Ad finitum if one reads over the CUE forum . Also, earlier I mentioned to a poster here as to how one can ask the VA to CUE themselves on a pending claim or, as in this case, on a denied claim. Luckily, instead of rattling off again how I did that, I found Carlie's post to exactly what I mean, here: regarding http://www.va.gov/ve...es5/0844495.txt in our CUE forum.(Clear and Unmistakable Error) Although CUEs are not appropriate for Duty to Assist violations, this case explains how 38 USC 4.6 can work . It takes the Evidentary requirements of…

All Members Please Read
I can't help but notice when I start reading posts and see that some of them will lead to nothing much more, than negativity and arguments on the board. Anytime there is misinformation posted or a difference in the understanding of regs, laws, evaluation criteria, vba claims process, etc... it surely does need to be discussed and corrected, as quickly, simply and clearly as possible. This can be accomplished without the verbiage or intent of belittling others or attempting to inflating our own egos on a regular basis. If you feel a need to make offensive posts such as the above, then perhaps this is not the forum for you, There are many veterans forums ava…

ptsd Contacting Senator
I know there has been many posts regarding this subject, but when I ask my Law Firm whether or not it would help, they said it could not hurt. I have a claim that was started 2-16-2010. I have a request for an increase in PTSD since 8-2010, I have an appeal for my Parkinson's Disease, which I'm getting 30%. The C&P was a disgrace.
