Sleep Apnea
I had a sleep study done 4/30/2012. After waiting til today for my cardiologist to contact me about the results, I went to ROI and got a copy for myself. (see attachments) I am already at 100% P&T; 40% DMII, 30% IHD among other things. Should I file a claim as secondary to DMII or should I just accept treatment and let sleeping dogs lie. I realize that there is no more money involved. Just the peace of mind in knowing that all bases are covered and the wife will be taken care of if I pass before her. Any advice or past experience in this area greatly appreciated.

Vsos - What To Expect?
Can anyone tell me what a VSO should be doing? Maybe a laymans rundown of what an introduction through performace should be like. It's difficult to tell good from bad when I have no idea of a standard. Thank you

Question About C & P Exams
I hope that I am in the correct forum. I figured that this did not belong in comp and pen. I originally had an orthopedic evaluation at the va and misteriously I noticed an appointment for a comp exam scheduled the day before.(This makes perfect sense). I now have another appointment scheduled and mysteriously have a comp exam set for exactly one moth after the ortho eval. Could this be VA making an honest mistake and not paying attention to the month. The appointment for my eval is Sept 20th but my comp exam is for Oct 19th. Do you guys see it now? The inital was for 22 Dec and the comp inital was schedeled for 21 dec as if they wanted a comp exam before the Ortho…

Hiatial Hernia/ged And Eosinophilic Esophagitis
I am currently rated at 0% SCD for hiatal hernia/GERD. My condition has worsened so I filed a claim for increase in my rating. Since then I have been diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. It seems a good percentage of my issues are due to the EE. My claim has been updated to seek an initial rating for the EE. After looking around the the forum and online my question is from a rating perspective is it in my interest to pursue these as separate connected issues with a single rating (i.e. EE secondary to existing hiatal herna/GERD) or to press for two ratings? Looking at 38 CFR I'm dealing with § 4.114 7203 and 7346. Thanks for your thoughts. I'd hate to s…

Survivor Info On Reps
We have had questions lately from widows of veterans, here in the main forum, and although we have a DIC forum, I don't want this info to be overlooked by any of them who might have REPS potential. (or perhaps their children would qualify). The REPS application (Restored Entitlement Program) is part of the 21-534 form. Although I filled out the application when I applied for DIC, it was not awarded to me until my deceased husband's death was awarded as a direct service connected death,16years after the VA had received the REPS application. Since the VA never persued the REPs benefit, which I had raised to them after my DMII AO death award came, in 2009, I persued …

Value Of Vso's
Went to the county VSO's office. Get this: She reported that Managment ordered Veterans evidence to be shredded in "inactive" accounts, which included mine. (I had been in that office 10 years ago, and really could have used this evidence.) I had been in that office in 2009..I guess that was not "active" enough. I took her my BVA decision, and she proceeded to tell me I should not appeal...they were fair..etc., etc it will raise eyebrows, could get reduced etc.

I've got a buddy in Yuba City who is having no luck in finding a competent VSO. He's called all around but he is confused and not getting any answers. He's called CDVA, DAV etc but can't seem to find anyone. I'm hoping someone here might be in his area and can help me point him in the right direction. Thank you! Pete

Salt Lake City Ro
Hello all, has anyone have any dealings or know of anyone dealing with Salt Lake City RO? My initial claim was initiated through the waco RO when I was preparing for my retirement. I got a letter from WACO RO stating that my claim was transfered to Utah because waco was backlogged. I checked enbenifit and my claim shows that it is in the gathering of evidence phase. It has been in this phase for 3 months. I appreciate any and all information that can be provided if possible. Thanks
