ptsd Helpful input on MH C&P. Stressing wicked bad. Do not know who or where else to go for more information.
My question is in regards to a recently completed C&P exam I had taken for MH. I am quite worried about the statements made by the examiner and a few other sections as well. I have tried to highlight the sections that worried me I am not sure if I had missed anything of importance. Normally I would take this issue up with my VSO but she is out sick. I do not know who else or where else to turn to for information about this. I am most worried about the statements made by the examiner in the final paragraph. I did as I was told by my VSO and others in the VA and are assisting me currently in matters of mental health. That was be honest and it will all be okay. Well turn…

Tinnitus Denied! Ugh!
My hubby claim was recently denied for tinnitus. The rater wrote in her notes ' least likely to have happened in service.' She didn't say anything in her notes about what my husband told her about how he was airborne for many years and jumped out of airplanes. How the noise and ringing from the helicopters clearly was a contributing factor. She never mentioned buddy or statement of case he turned in. His mos was admin (71lima) but the things he did under the umbrella of the mos (air assault, air borne jumper, generator operator) seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. ptsd Got My PTSD C&P Packet in the mail
I got my DSM5 PTSD C&P Instructions in the mail from the QTC Sat, for my C&P on the 23rd of Jan 2016 10 AM. They said for me to call the Dr's office and let them know I received the instruction pack and let them know date/time of my Exam...and it also says I do not need to bring any records /or evidence with me, the Dr will have everything he needs from the VA.. says the VA Sent this C&P Examiner everything he needs? Also says for me to fill out the travel voucher to get travel pay. hypertension Either just had the worst or best C&P exam.. Still not sure!
Just got back from my C&P exam for Secondary GERD and Secondary Hypertension that lasted all of about 15 min with a NP at Hines. She seemed to be a little ruff around the edges at first, then we somehow go on the conversation of the oxygen generating plants in her office which seemed to perk her up. She only asked a few questions: For both - Was I diagnosed in service?, was I diagnosed at the VA?, do I still have symptoms?, only treated at VA?. For GERD only - Did I have a upper GI? Ok, so I got my C&P and I am pretty sure after reading a lot of your guys/gals responses that I had a favorable C&P, my question is it looks like the examiner places me at a 10%? Is he the person who decides? I've made a copy of it and it will be attached here to see what you guys think. Neede help with exam notes for Plantar and Bilateral Femoralpatello Pain syndrme

ptsd VES Exam Notes
I had a VES doctor for my PTSD increase/TDIU evaluation. From what I've read, I can't view the doc's exam notes until a decision has been made. Is that true or is there a way I can request a copy of them from either the VARO or from my VAMC records once they are received? Thanks in advance!

Question about C&P.....Review of Evidence
I have 3 claims in. 2 new, and 1 increase. Last Friday, it went into Prep for Decision, then Saturday, went back to Review of Evidence. Talked to Peggy, and she said it was because new evidence was submitted, which it was. She also said that it looks like they may want another C&P, which is good, but she didn't say for sure if they would do one. My question is, do I call THEM and schedule a C&P, or do they have to contact me? It says on the website, "to schedule a C&P Exam, call 1-800-Peggy." ALso, if the increase goes through, do I get backpay from date of original rating, or date that I filed increase? And has anyone ever been rated for Persist…

C&P exam story/question
He takes his glasses off, looks at me and says "son, you're rated at 90%, you could have been rehabbing your knees for the past 4 years free of charge. Some of those DAV guys are good, but some of them are idiots" At this point, I was extremely frustrated and may have slipped out a few expletives at a louder than normal tone. sciatica added as DX as a result of C&P
Hi, I completed my C&P for DDD and feel that I did well( rom was very limited less than 15 degrees flexion) I don't have the all the results but will upload them later anyway, I am currently 10% for right and left radiculopathy and the doc diagnosed me with Sciatica during the C&P is sciatica rated like radiculopathy?

How To Post

‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery” instead of ‘I have a question."
This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”
