C-file missing some records
While going through my C-file recently, it just occurred to me that the records from my initial exams are not there. When I was getting out, I filed my initial claims, and went to various exams, and x-ray appointments at various locations. These records are not there. How do I go about requesting these specific records? I am SC for all those contentions, but there is no record of what took place, so I can even see if and how much I was lowballed by. Thanks. Depression as secondary
Hello all, I got a phone call at the end of work yesterday afternoon, can I come down for a C&P exam on Tuesday, the 3rd of November...what is this for...my claim for depression, yes I will be there. Anyone go through an exam for depression as secondary to chronic pain? Or even just depression, that can give me some pointers? What should I not mention, besides life before my service? How much detail should I give? Should I mention my night sweats, and nightmares along with my chronic sleep impairment? How long will this type of exam take? 1 hour, 2 hours, or longer? Semper Fi. Andyman.

Vamc Dublin C&p Exam Today
Good Afternoon, Well, I had a C&P exam today in Dublin. I couldn't sleep very well last night thinking about it and as I figured, someone needs to give them a few classes. I was called around Wednsday this past week and told of a C&P Exam for my lower back for today. No valided explanation of why when I asked, just told it could be several reasons. The person performing the exam was a Nurse Practitioner. After asking me several questions regarding my condition including have it afficts my everyday life. When I tried to answer that question twice stating that I couldn't bend, I was rudely interrupted both times and basicly told she would be determining …

First off thank you to any Brothers and sisters for your help. I had my exam today and it only took one hour. I was sexually assaulted in korea and combat support trama from my service in Kuwait. To me the shrink was mostly interested in background questions and i had to steer the questions all the relating to my military service since she did not seem interested in what happen and only asked once briefly. Does this sound normal? She did ask about how i am now and i told her of my problems with relationships, anxiety, ocd, sleep problems and Depression after leaving the service. Do you think they did their job properly or blowing me off? Ves in Houston did the evaluation …

ptsd C & P Exam
Hello I am a 27 years army vet. I got out in 2010. I started having panic attacks in 2011. The emergency room gave me Klondike and later my personal physician put me on celexa. I started going to the VA in 2015 because the panic attacks got worst. My VA psychiatrist diagnosed me with combat related Anxiety and a mood disorder not PTSD. He states that Criteria E/F on the PTSD scale is on going and combat related next he states the anxiety is combat related in the assessment. Every time I go there he writes something like stress reaction is causing mixed reaction/combat related. A VA psychologist sent me for Psychotherapy for "combat related Anxiety". The VA have me on 4 …

I had a C&P exam in 2012 with a va psy. That claim was denied. In 2013 I had filed an NOD. The va sent me to another c&p the exam was did by the same va psyc when i went into her office she told me that she had misdiagnosed me on my first c&p and was going to make it right on this c&p i was awarded 50% for ptsd. I filed for an increase and went to another c&p after things got even worse. At this c&p there was a different psyc i was awarded 70% increase. I filed for IU now i am going to see the va psyc that misdiagnosed me the first time any suggestions on what i need to do. Or has this happen to any other veteran. I really do not trust this psyc. T…

ptsd Ptsd Comp / Pen
I went in for my PTSD exam today. I explained my primary stressor was my roommate killing himself, and from being deployed as an infantryman (although I have no CIB, PH, ETC). When discussing my friend I became very emotional and began crying (which I have never done, although this is the first time I have really discussed what happened). He asked me the name of my friend and when he died. He told me he thinks I meet the criteria for having PTSD, and then immediately gave me paperwork about getting help at the VA, and then called me a few minutes after the meeting and said he had given my name to some kind of info session at the VA hospital for PTSD in a few weeks. The gu…

ptsd C&P Exam notice sent to 30 yr old address
In June 2013 I was awarded SC Agent Orange IHD and PTSD claims with SMC (k) deferred. About a week before the $ hit the bank and the award letter, I had received a telephone call from a gentleman who I believe was the rater telling me that my claim was about to be finalized and was there anything I wanted to add. He told me what the %s and effective dates were going to be as well as the award of SMC (S) based on 100% + 60%. I agreed with the %s but not the IHD effective date, but he and several hadit members convinced me that I was wrong. This young man was polite professional, and appeared willing to spend as much time as necessary to resolve any outstanding issues I …

I am currently rated 60% SC (40% my back, 30% Major Depressive Disorder) rated in 2011. I just filed for increase for Major Depressive Disorder and Individual Unemployability. Currently in "preparation for decision phase". Here's the main points from my C&P exam. What rating/IU does this look like to you? Any input is appreciated. Back dating fight
Ok, I first want to thank everyone for responding to my first question. I appreciate it. Before I ask my second question I want to be up front. I am an attorney, but VA administrative law is not my area of expertise so I don't know shit about it. My resent claim is the same claim I made in 1995. I am guessing they are not going to back date any rating to then, but if I appeal that decision, will I be paid the increased rating while I appeal?

PTSD Exam going in but not coming out
Back on the 14th I had my C&P Exam for my reopened exam. I must first say this is the first time I was asked in the claim form to identify stressors or past stressful events that I participated in while serving. I went in for the exam, it lasted about 2 hours, and I just recently downloaded his report. He marked no for ptsd, but identified three other mental disorders and found them to be more likely than not to be service connected, While strikes me as odd is, he says no to ptsd, but at the end of the report he checked almost every box indicating ptsd? Based on your experience, is this guy trying to help me out, or is he just refusing to find ptsd? also, I was …

ptsd 2 hour C&P after i have an hour with the PTSD doc
I am needing some help understanding why the VA is going to take all of this time. Let me explain I have a current claim for multiple issues and I have 2 NOD in with the regional office. They called me a month ago and ask me if I could reschedule and come in for a 2 hour session. I asked why I could not do 2 different times and the person told me they had to do it all together even though the NOD's and the claim they are working are not the same. I am trying to figure out why they need 2 hours when I have already been to the specialist for everything and only 1 new item came up with the DRO. I am very confused here, because they have settled half of my claim deferre…
