Gulf War Presumptive Illness
My husband had his gulf war exam and the examiner stated that his Sleep Apnea was not a presumptive illness nor was his chronic sinusitis/respiratory illnesses. From my research, I found that they were. Additionally, he had several years of medical records removed and shredded from his file by someone trying to be helpful. In the denial that he got, it stated he had no records when that was removed from his medical file. Additionally, he told the examiner that he generally uses pads for his anal leakage but was not wearing one that day. She gave him 10% because he doesn't need one all the time. Anyway to fight that? If this is not the right place to post this, plea…

ptsd C&P Exam help
Hi I am new here, and trying to sort through all of this, and it is a bit overwhelming. I have a C&P scheduled in a few months, and just received my appointments. C&P MHC C&P PSYCH TEST C&P Primary Care C&P Audiology So my question would be, I assume MHC = Mental health...So would it really be 4-hours of MH and psych testing? I am having a longer wait as it is because I need to see a female doctor for the MST part. I am really nervous about this whole process, and have read so many horror stories about the MST claim process (I understand it is PTSD via MST). I have a wonderful psychiatrist (private) that has helped me a lot, and she has submitted the …

C&P Exam Challenges
Hello, I am currently getting MEB for my ear condition so my C&P exams were a bit rushed. First, my VA doctor was not the sharpest crayon in the box. Apparently, I am scheduled for surgery in 2105. Anyways, they left a lot my important medical issues off the report. For example, I have tumors in my ear and the left off the part about them growing to my brain. The report reads as though the examiner got bored and stopped reading my records after 2008. According to my ear C&P, I only have had 2 surgeries however, I had 8 so far. My PBLO officer is helping me appeal everything; however, I noticed a lot of my medical records are not in my medical file. The on…

Should I file a NOD Now?
I am bothered some errors and assumptions made by the C&P Dr on my last C&P. I also think the rater is trying to intimidate the doctor by putting words in his mouth. Should I jump into this with a NOD or wait for the decision? If they try to take my SC or not rate me favorably, I most certainly will appeal. They are Flat out wrong on some of the medical issues in their messages to the C&P Dr.

Tomorrow = 4 C&P Exams
I have 4 C&P exams scheduled tomorrow. I submitted a fully developed claim for each of the secondary conditions I am claiming. The documentation is very straight forward and supportive (with a single exception the documentation provided came from the VA). One claim is for peripheral neuropathy and even though I had a private Neurologist complete the form and conduct a nerve conduction study and EMG, the VA has decided to conduct a C&P. Does anyone know how long until I'll be able to gain access to the C&P exams, will they be available through myhealthyvet? Any words of advice would be appreciated. Green

C&P scheduled while I was Inpatient
I was inpatient on VA Pysch ward for 10 days and then sent to a 28 day substance abuse program. While I was inpatient my mother received a letter from RO that I needed to call by July 13th to schedule my C & P exams. My mother called the number on July 15th and explained that I was inpatient and she said no problem for me to call and reschedule when I got out. I called and rescheduled on 8/7 and have my C & P's 8/26 & 8/27, we received in the mail the next day from the Atlanta RO that my disability claim was denied for failure to report, WTH!!! My question is do I have to go through the whole NOD process now?

degenerative arthritis I was reevaluated for my back after multiple filings
Hi, I filed for ED, testicle pain, a varicocele and hypogonadism and for some strange reason, the VA decided to check my back. When I asked them why, they said that the Regional Office wanted my back re-evaluated. I've been at 20% for my back since 2003 so I'm a little worried. Why check my back? They left me alone for over 12 years? I've been filing alot for the past 2 years so I'm wondering if I might have triggered a reevaluation by filing too much.
