Strange C&p Exam Today?
I had an exam for headaches, sinuses and both knees. The knee issues were both for increase from 0 and 10 percent. The Doctor never physically examined me for my sinuses at all, he also asked a just a few questions concerning the dates my headaches and sinus problems began. The knee examinations were over in less than a minute. The doctor had me hold onto a table and bend my right knee and bend my left knee. The doctors simply mentioned GW vets are given the benefit of the doubt concerning sinus and headaches as part of GWI not mention of my knees at all. I decide to leave well enough alone thanked him and left.

ptsd Too Broad Mental Hygene Claim?
I found out in 2005 I had issues, and assumed they were just depression. After a lot of group therapy I decided to file a claim for it. The VA denied the claim, but suggested I had been treated and diagnosed with a differently named mental condition (I used the wrong name). Upon receiving my medical records I learned I was diagnosed with “adjustment disorder with signs of stress.” Over the years VA labeled me with a lot of mental issues, so I filed a new claim for non-combat PTSD, Chronic Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety, Acquired Psychiatric Condition, and TDIU. The reason for TDIU is because I was granted a non-service-connected pension, and lived on this meager amount unti…

New rater at louisville RO
There appears to be a new rater handling my claim at the Louisville RO. They are now questioning the last C&P Dr. and going as far as changing his answers to the DBQ . C&P Dr. " Was the veterans VA claim file reviewed? " ans. Yes. In the question to the Dr. to resolve a medical opinion conflict, I found accidentally on MHV This question from RO to C&P Dr. under evidence review " was the veterans VA claim file reviewed?" The answer was pre filled out by the RO as NO! Its as if the RO was trying to intimidate the C&P Dr. The new rater is apparently going to challenge past SC 0% ratings that I filled an increase for.

Diagnosis date wrong on C&P Exam but correct in my MTF records
All, I retired in February 2015 and filed my claim for VA compensation in May 2015. My claim is listed in Ebenefits as being in the "Preparation for Notification" phase. I downloaded my VA records online today; specifically, my C&P exam record. In it, I discovered that the VA doctor listed my diagnosis date for Obstructive Sleep Apnea w/CPAP as 1 July 15, when in fact the correct diagnosis date was May 2012 and is well documented as being such in my MTF records. My MTF records were uploaded and received along with my fully developed claim May 2015. The VA doctor did list the correct date of my sleep study being in May 2012, but as I previously mentioned he list…

ptsd How Does The Va Rate On Ptsd Disability?
Good afternoon, I have just received my medical from my C&P, and looking over I am worried that I am going to drop my 50% rate that I am currently at. From other posts, I seem to have gathered that most of the decision of the rating party rely on the Occupational ability of the Veteran. Do they look into other parts of this as well (Personal life, sleep, depression). Or do they solely base judgment on that small paragraph by the psych? I will post my results later when I get home if I can figure it out.

No Medical Connection In Service
My husband was a medic and had several years of records destroyed while he was in service that dealt with his foot injuries and other stuff. He says that his SGT said that it had to go otherwise he would never be promoted. Additionally, he says that they were told to suck it up and not go to sick call so he dealt with a lot of issues on his own. He went NG after 2011 and transferred to the retired reserves last year. He filed for disability and had his Gulf War Exam. Where it was noted that although he claimed items that occurred after he was overseas, because he sought no treatment in service that they are not service connected. I get that he should have s…

ptsd Question on my C&P review letter
Hello all,Background:50% PTSD, 40%TBI, 30% migraines, 20% scars---80% combined. I was also rated Individual Unemployability. Got both a phone call and a letter in the mail that I have a C&P review (for my TBI/migraines) scheduled for next month. My question is, is the review for my I.U? Or is it for my 40% and 30% schedular ratings (for TBI/Migraines)?

C&P Exam Today Concerns....
I went to my second C&P Exam for my knees. The first exam about 9 months ago went well and normal based on the board stories. The doctor measure my ROM while I was sitting in a chair. No big deal I just move it forward to I feel pain. Well today exam I expected the same thing. During the exam, instead of sitting down measuring my range of motion I was told to lay down on the table. The doctor had me move my leg by bending and measuring that way. I thought it was very strange for ROM measurement. Has anyone else experience a measurement for ROM on legs while laying down vs in a chair/sitting up? Concerns.....
