C & P Exam Referral
Question for some of the experts. I requested an increase for GERD and had an initial C & P exam. When I received the decision notification, the GERD had been deferred and I was scheduled for another C & P exam. The second doctor (wife of the first one) ask me a few questions and sent me to the lab for a blood sample for H. pylori bacteria. The lab result was equivocal (unable to determine). The nurse practitioner who wrote the report stated that the lab result was negative. I was told verbally that, based on the NPs report, a decision has been made and the GERD rating was not increased. The second C & P doctor referred me to have x-rays of my esoph…

I submitted a claim with a few new disabilities and to reopen the following disabilities shown below that were non service connected (as rated in 2007). To my surprise, I found the following statement on one of my C&Ps resutls. INCREASE CLAIMS: The veteran is claiming an increase in her service connected: " Hypertension " Asthma with allergic rhinitis " Migraine headaches " Mitral Valve Disorder " Right knee PFS " Lumbar Back Strain **Please note that the record currently does not show the veteran as service-connected for headaches, heart condition, right knee, or lumbar condition. However, errors were found in a previous rating decision, and ser…

diabetes Pulled A Quick One With My C&p
Well, I went to my Kidney C&P this past Tuesday. The C&P Exam was posted on eBenefits today, with no surprises. As usual, I took all of my Lab Tests and Private Doc's write ups, that were pertinent to the kidney disease [which were already part of my C-file]. The C&P thanked me & said that it saved him time looking for the info. NOW, FIGURE THIS ONE OUT- in reading over the whole C&P Exam, the Doc also did a write up on my Diabetes, GERDS, and ED. I just had the C&P done on these ratings back in March 2015, and claims were granted!!!! The last section of the C&P Form is titled Remarks, if any: It appears that the Doc is given an …

Any Suggestions For C&p Exam
So 6 years after I filed my form 9 appeal I was just called to schedule a new C&P exam for next week. Moral of the story is that I filed my claim to have my SC foot classified correctly from a 30% severe foot injury(which they labeled as flat feet) to what it actually is CRPS/RSD. Which to my understanding should be classified 8520 for a nerve issue. Which if that is the case it should be 60% because of marked muscle atrophy. I also claimed my numerous herniated and bulging discs as SC. Both because of injuries sustained while on active duty. I have no less than 5 entries in my SMR stating I was seen for my back issues, as well as secondary to my SC foot/low…

ptsd C&p Ptsd But Did Not Take Out Misdiagnosis Of Bipolar
In 2003 During a traumatic event I was hospitalized for four days and given a bipolar diagnosis. I enlisted under past childhood sexual abuse that was waived for entry. I was sent off base, I don't believe they ever reviewed the events that lead to hospitalization and just came up with bipolar. I was honorably discharged in 2006 and was on inactive reserve until 2009. During my exit eval I told the dr I did not believe I was bipolar, how can someone be bipolar for four days. Anyway she put that my diagnosis was "deferred". Since then I've seen many drs on anxiety, insomnia and depressed mood (all of which combined in my 30% adjustment disorder rating) I also get another 2…

Ptsd C&p Exam Scheduled - General Questions
Hello fellow hard chargers. I'm an 0351/OIF combat veteran who was involved in the initial invasion of Iraq back in March, 2003. I witnessed and did things that were pretty horrific. The last few years have been extremely difficult for me -- and within the last year, in particular, PTSD symptoms have gotten the best of me and for the last 5 months, after being let go from my previous job (due to lashing out at several clients), I have been unable to procure steady employment. My father, who is a Vietnam veteran, told me about the about the possibility of getting compensation for PTSD. Until a couple of months ago, I didn't know this was even a possibility. So I did …

C&p Exam Appointment
Good afternoon, I received a call from the Ft Worth VA to schedule me for a C&P exam for a claim that I filed...I'm currently receiving 80% disability. I have not filed another claim for anything so I was puzzled and asked what it was for and they stated it was for my sleep apnea and migraines in which I receive 50% for sleep apnea and 30% for the migraines. I was puzzled to say the least however I asked what I needed to bring as I have private insurance from my husband's job and Tricare as well and the person told me nothing. I asked if he would like me to bring my meds and he said yes, if I would like but I didn't need to. My question is, is this normal and what s…
