  1. Social Security Form For Iu

    Can anyone tell me what specific form(s) or data the VA requests from the Social Security office for IU claims? Does the VA request a 'Official Release' copy of SSA 'detailed' doctor notes? or will they simply accept the SSA decision with diagnosis and phsycian signature? Was told Claim is on hold for, SSA info and one more comp exam report, then its up to the DRO. Odd, I submitted a copy of the SSA decision form months ago, should be 'official' enough I think.     I was granted tdiu by bva on june 2nd 09...I am waiting for my retro money and awards letter I figured soon..Well I get a 21-8940 form today in the mail>>.This form requests work history, doctors names ........What is going on ? Is this going to start my claim all over again..I dont know what to do I have no money left and can not wait another 4mo..Help please..

  4. Iu Employer Letters

    I am awaiting a decision on my IU Claim from the VA. The actually VARO ( thru my VSO ) stated that they have not received any responses from my employers. However, on the VA's 800 # , they are stating that they have all the responses and is waiting for one more. Two separate calls gave the same answers and gave specific dates of each responses.I then told them that one employer has closed down. First question, who the heck do you think is telling the truth?     Do my dependents get chp 35 benefits or do I have to be p/t for that to kick in if so what are they eligible for and what should I be doing to make sure they get what they deserve for supporting me all this time.     Hello, A little background. Deployed Iraq wid guard unit title 10 from 2002 to 2004. After release from AD I havent worked wid any full-time sustainable work. I have continued to work wid guard bout 50 days a yr. I have only continued to work wid guard cause its only 2 days a month and I slip under the radar from ANYONE detecting my behaviour till recently. I havent worked anything under the table to survive and dont need much income. I just have tried to work but for no more than few days.     Bear wid me plz, Im at crossroads on wether to file for IU or other claims like Migraines and Vertigo that I feel are present because of diagonesed TBI. Im also 70% PTSD n total 80%. DO not work. Cant work because of these conditions. VA pscyh DRS have written letters stating that I cant work and clinically why I cant work. Ive been advise by VA n legion rep to submit claim for IU and have the proof from the VA DR wid the letter. I havin trouble in my mind on pursin anything that says that I cant work like IU.   8. How Do I Fix Someone Else Mistake?

    Hello I feel like a real idiot but here goes, I put in for TDIU last year in Novmeber. I got The usual denail Notice whihc I had figured on and went on to look at what I could fight them on. I made some progress with asking for an increase on my back since I had been lowballed but I am now an expert much like you all on this. What I found out today like a dummy was that the "Nice Lady" who helped me with the form in the office last year was that she listened to me describe that my heart was still giving me trouble and after a recent exam by the VA I was stayed for the 60% and figured it was going good.     I am about to get medically retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service for Type II diabetes. Even though that is what they are retiring me for, I have other issues that I will be claiming for service connected disabilities through the VA.   11. Did Give The Wrong Answer?

    I had a C&P today for IU and it lasted about one hour and 45 minutes. We reviewed all the physical things that I have wrong with me. She went over the diabetes and peripheral neouopathy which I am service connected for. We then went over my CAD,Hypertension, and COPD which are not service connected right now. We reviewed what I could do physically. I said I could't stand for long periods of timebecause of the PN.   12. Peripheral Neuropathy Nexus Letter

    Please click letter to read I'm 70% SC from serious accident in service. I just got this letter from my neurologist. The neuropathy is 100% disabling, although I'm submitting for other conditions also. I'm including my EMG results in the IU evidence. Is peripheral neuropathy ever rated at 100%? Is this letter great or is there anything additional I should add? Thanks!

    ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery” instead of  ‘I have a question."
