Request For Increase A "appeal'? 2nd Authorization?
Ok, thats a funny question; since the disability needs to be service connected in the first place for an 'increase' request to be considered. So, with an increase for claim (or appeal) so far, my claim is rated, was told dfas and va reviewed the payments, was told claim was signed and is ready for promulgation. Now I hear, Dfas has once again completed another step as well as Va, and its ready for authorization signature again. Even got a internal suspense date they're using says maybe early March.. So, I am confused if I have an appeal going or a simple request for increase? Was wondering if there is a new layer of quality claim reviews at the Va or Dro. cg

ptsd So Did Not Submit Info To Va For Statement Of Case
My NSO did not submit the request for information from my counselor regarding my PTSD. I just received my "Statement of the Case" and they did increase me from 30% to 50% based on information from the VA Hosp only. The counselor is really the one who knows me best. Also, has anyone any information on 38 1154(;)?

Confused With My Claim
Hi everyone, I just received my decision on my service connected secondary condition wich is for my right upper c5,c6,c7 radiculopathy and carpal tunnel. My question is why did they only grant me a 10% for my CTS and nothing for the c5,c6,c7 radiculopathy. The Dr. at the VA concurrs with my private DR that my right arm suffers fron c5,c6,c7 Radiculopathy and carpal tunnel as a direct result of over use of the right hand since my left arm dislocates very easily. in the letter that i receved with the decision the RO says nothing about my c5,c6 omitts the c7 radiculopathy and writes only on the carpal tunel. Can anyone help me with this?

Response From Rod
I just received a letter from the DVA asking me if I want a DRO to handle my case or go through the traditional appeal process. Which should I pick? And does anyone know a good attorney in Oregon? I think they might have actually read my appeal to their incorrect denial. Thank anything will help!

Needing Advice For Nod Iu
Got a claim submitted for Iu that was put in when my overall rating was 60%, having only the one 30% issue. Result, they gave me a c&p, only to find found a sc issue needed rated to 60%. Iu was denied based on c&P results, said sedentary work possible.Overall went from 60% to 90%.The ssa granted me SSDI for the 60% issue. Now a Va clerk has guided me to clarify and specify in a new letter specifically what issue the IU claim is in for. Do I want to have the IU claim focus on the earlier 30% or the newer 60% item that is validated by ssa? The conditions are day&night different. Will check with my VSO to see their take on the advice. Hope not to confuse, …

tdiu Rating Decision
Ok knowledgable ones. I have some questions. I got my decision for disabilities last Sep/08,70%sc. )%sc right hand(which I broke in my early military years), 0%sc for headaches(which I have had for most of my military service and still do to this day). Then they gave me 0%period on left/right shoulder condition,left/right arm condition, neck pain, back pain. I submitted all my military records and civilian medical records and gave them the authority to get them themselves since I have been treated for these conditions or pain since my retirement. Here is my question. The only record of my having the 0% which they stated was not service connected is th Standard form 93 (REPO…

Claim Review And Collateral Claim
I have received the outcome of the review of my left leg condition (leg was broken in 2004, having had a compound fracture, with extensive surgery and the implant of a rod, screws, pins, etc). Now I have chronic pain specially in my knee and also in other parts of my leg. The outcome of the review of my claim was the continuation of the current rating: 30%. Which seems very unfair for me. According to the report, one would only be eligible for a higher rating if a brace was required (one may even be needed in deed when the winter comes and the pain level increases). What should I do to have a more favorable and fair rating: should I appeal the claim, if yes what kind of …
