killemall got a reaction from Vync in bva appeal says waiting for judge to be assigned
Indeed you are correct. Your response was the best I've ever received to a question in my 11 years of visiting such forums and I whole heartedly thank you.
I have looked at the slides you provided once. Only 9 times more to go.

Killemall...Follow Vync and Vetquest advice for you, you will be fine. You have plenty of time to make sure your rep to be thee and do their job.
Good luck

Killemall, I have been to in person hearings for the BVA and NOD's. My rep was always there. At one my rep asked few questions of me but otherwise sat there. Try to feel your rep out before the hearing. If he is willing to sit down with you and discuss the hearing he might be good. If he does not have time for you, you might want to find someone else in the office. If they ask you why explain that you have a very important NOD coming up and want it to be well thought out and planned. I have learned that some reps are just marking time like the VA which employs them, yes the VA employs your reps.
Good luck.

10 months is a lot better than two or more years. I would expect a DAV rep would attend the conference with you.
I recommend that you go over your plan with the DAV rep before going in, preferably earlier the better and then again just before the video conference. I say this because I used a rep back in the 90's for my BVA traveling board appeal and they didn't do anything except sit there. After finding Hadit 10+ years ago, I learned a lot. I had an in-person DRO hearing and used a different rep. They called me about a week prior and we discussed the approach and got a lot of questions answered. On the day of the hearing, I came in very early and we went over everything to make sure it was airtight.
As far as hearing loss, I assume they would accommodate you. Let the rep help bridge the gap regarding your hearing. After all, they are there to help you.

killemall got a reaction from paulcolrain in not a Q but a STATEMENT about the power of an IMO/IME
Broncovet.
Well said man. I've been rated 50% for hearing loss and 10% for tinnitus since 2013. I feel it's worst now at 38 then when I got that rating at 33.
Depression is huge with my hearing loss. I mean HUGE. I often give up talking to others before I even try.
As far as the imo or one.
Me and a buddy both used Dr Bash to right an IME for both of us.
The person who looked at my friends a greed with everything the ime said and my buddy got 100%...up from his prior 80%
The person who looked at mine contested everything in the ime and I remained at my previous 70%
I guess the point is.....Yes it's a great weapon....But you are still fighting a flawed system

killemall got a reaction from Jaydog in RAMP DEVELOPMENT
Good luck!!!!!
Ramps moving slow for you. Most who opted into Ramp in March are already at claim complete.
I'll take this as a good sighn though. Denials can come faster than approvals and a c@p likely means they need a proper rating for your disibilities.
I sense a win coming!!!!!!!!

killemall got a reaction from SergeantQ in My Return to Hadit & How I went from 40% to 90% disability rating...
You seem bitter when you should be thanking God and very happy.
There are many people here who are struggling to get anywhere near what they deserve.
I started at 0% from the VA after 7 years of Army Infantry and a medical discharge.
Took me 10 years to claw my way from 0 to 20 to 30 to 40 to my current 70%...
Im even collecting social security disibility, but still havent gotten past 70%.
On top of that Ive flown to other states and paid 10 grand of my hard earned money for idependant medical opinions from doctors. Imo's and ime's.
I have piles of evidence and then some...
But the VA screws up all the time!!!!!
In my case and hundreds of others who visit this site, the VA dosent properly notify us of upcoming exams ect. Or just blatantly ignores evidence.
You are at 90%!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your listing all the things theyve done wrong, but dont seem to acknowledge that in the bigger picture, 90% is extremely good.
Seems that you have been blessed to me.

killemall got a reaction from saxman in My Successful VA Claim Story
As long as they dont try to screw with those receiving retirement and VA compensation then 90% plus your retirement is pretty darn stout.
Cant you also go for Social Security???
Retired+90%VA+Social Security would be the perfect recipe

killemall got a reaction from flores97 in Its official, I won SSDI
Sorry Troop51, Im too new to this to answer your question.
Bronovet. Youare absolutely correct. Im married but we live at seperate residences right now.
Will have to wait and see how that plays out.
Bottom line is that I will definitly get more than my current 1650 from the VA and for that I am grateful.

I went before a social security judge a month ago and I just got the letter from the judge today.
I am now considered disabled by the US Government!!!!!
Im getting back pay of $2300 a month times 26 months.
I think thats 58k or so but 6k will be going to my lawyer.
As far as I know there is no tax so I should get a check for around 50k.
Ive been unemployed for three years and struggling to scrap by so this is truly a God send!!!!!
Ironically the same exact issues that get me 70% from the VA got me a Disabled decision from the Social Security Administration.
The VA rates me...
50% hearing loss
10% tinitus
10% left shoulder
10% right shoulder
10% right wrist
For a total of 70%
I really cannot believe this!!!!!!!!!!
I feel truly blessed!!!!
I was devastated a year ago when I paid Dr. Bash 9k to do IMEs and the VA still kept me at 70%.
My lawyer says his letter is what got me considered disabled!!!!!
So it ended up working out for me.
Thank you Dr. Bash!!!!!!!!
70% from the VA plus the Social Security disibility monthly money combined is more than I ever would have gotten from being 100% from the VA.
I get 1650 from the VA and 2300 from Social security Disibility.
3950 a month tax free!!!!!!!!!!!
I can finally rest.....

Thanks for the advice. 100% VA and SSDI is pretty much the ultimate win.
Im still waiting for my ssdi letters telling me my actual numbers ect. I will take it to the VA once received.
