  1. I am on hydrocodone and lorazapam. Citopram and trazadone. I have had some problems since I have been on these. Can they be the cause to IBS?
  2. I was approved for SSD based on my service connected issues. Applied for TDIU, still waiting. I would recommend you try to continue looking for things to help you with your symptoms. I wish you the best but I feel you will face a hard time being awarded SSD with 40 percent. Please continue to seek advise and take care of yourself..
  3. Thats great news, glad you were compensated..
  4. I also have those issues among others and got SSD. The doc asked about me going to school, which I do. He stated and made a great point that even with physical disabilities the mind continues to work and must stay busy to assist in care. Wish you the best..
  5. Congrats!!!! I have read many of your replys to people and the positive reinforcement you have gave to everyone. I am very proud to be a veteran and have fellow veterans like you.. Have a restful yet pleasant time on your get away!!!
  6. Deacon, I had a similiar thing happen to me as well. It showed that I had two different claims when it was only one, it took a while to show just one. I feel this E-benefit link online is a curse at times. While it provides us information we would like to know it is twenty days or so behind. I wish you the best and we must try to be patient. Im sorry I cannot provide a better answer for you. I can only hope that the final outcome is positive. One positive thing is if you get awarded the TDIU they will be back paying you.. Best of luck!!
  7. I have the sun lamp on the way now. The VA has recieved my award letter from SSD about three months ago. The positive thing is the snow, it can be nice at times. Thanks for the responses!!
  8. Hello all from Eastern Oregon, It is always a hard transition into the winter months and the shorter days. I get on this site everyday to see and hear how other vets are doing. It is always good to hear the success stories. I have been rewarded SSD soley on my service connection disabilitys and have had my TDIU claim in since april. It has been in the decision phase for the last 3 months. I have read on here that SSD is a positive factor when attempting for TDIU. Has anyone been turned down TDIU while being awarded SSD based off of service connection alone? Im at 90 percent now so we will see. Anyway I wish you all the best and happy thanksgiving!
  9. Good news!! Glad to hear the positive side to all the troubles we have. Happy for you..

    Ss Win

That is good news! Hope the best for both of you..
  11. Are you applying for SSI or SSD? I was approved for SSD the first go around, but I have alot of other factors including a fusion. Hope things get better for you...
  12. Congrats, It is always good to see someone stick through things and get what they deserve..
  13. Berta, Thank you for the response. Yes I was awarded SSD soley on my VA service connected disabilities. I was just a bit confused when my claim went back to development and that was the last thing stated on the information tab. The SSD award went back to my discharge date, 09. I did not put a claim in for TDIU unitl I was awarded SSD, April 2011. So the claim has been in for seven months now. It went to decision three months ago and sat there until now. So now it looks like it got pushed back to development. Not to worried about that, I feel lucky at the speed at which it is happening just a little confused about the last comment. Thanks again. Pete
  14. VOR:Writeout 631A Future Physical Examination This was written on the E-benefits site. My TDIU claim was under decision for two months then sent back to development. I was awarded SSD and sent them the paperwork when I filed for TDIU. I am just a little confused what this means. I have had my claim in since april. Does this VOR thing mean I am going to have another C and P exam?
  15. Ya, it is a touchy thing. I got approved for SSD based off my service connection on the first attempt. I am in the process of trying to get TDIU. We will see, it is always different for everyone. We can just do our part and stay with it...
  16. Thank you for the replys, The veteran does have a LOD for his shoulder and his knee. I will be meeting with him tomorrow to get things started. We live in Oregon and we are still making calls to determine his elgibility. Thanks Pete
  17. Hello everyone, I have found a fellow vet to help. His scenerio is this, he was in the Army National Guard and was injured durring training. His injuries are documented in his medical paperwork. He has never been deployed and he has never been on active duty. He required sugery on his knee and shoulder. His condition is begining to worsen. He is seeing a private doctor that tells him he needs additional surgery. He has been told that he does not qualify for VA benefits since he was not on active duty or deployed. I believe he is recieving false info but I wanted to be sure. He has been denied to be seen at our local VA outpatient clinic for his injuries. So basically I just wondered if he could claim his injuries as thay are permanate. As of right know I am helping him write up his statement to get him in the system.
  18. Congrats, Glad to hear good things!! Keep em moving...
  19. So true, as a chronic pain person I had to complain and see my primary docter several times to get what we felt would assist me in everyday life as medicine goes. Dont hesitate to see your doc, tell them how you are feeling. Worse case you will lose some time out of your day.. Stay with it, dont give up..
  20. 381. I know you have to have atleast 20% disability rating to qualify for Voc Rehab. The process takes a bit, it took me about six months after my rating to actually get Voc Rehab. I was approved and it was worth the wait so I advise you to hang in there. If you do not get Voc Rehab due to your disablitities I understand it could assist in TDIU. I am sure the others with more expirience will assist you here with better info. Hang in there and keep asking the questions. I am pretty sure it has no effect on SSD, I recieve that as well and had no problems getting it.
  21. Stay with it. I was awarded SSD at age 35. They based their findings based off of my military records. I am now waiting to see how my TDIU request will be decided. It is in the decision phase now after five months so I feel lucky as far as the speed in which it is moving.
  22. Congrats with the voc rehabIf. I am currently doing it as well. Never knew you can get free dental, anyone know how to get that started?
