Effective dates and back pay for FDC's
Was wondering if someone could clarify this for me. I had called Peggy, and got 2 different answers. If I filed a FDC in October 2015, can they still go back a year for Retro pay? I filed a FDC in April of 2015, and the effective date was April 2014, so I got a year of Retro Pay. The gentleman I spoke to today, said that the program is over, and they will not go back a year anymore. So, instead of an effective date of October 2014, this claim will be effective of October 2015. Therefore, I will not get Retro pay going back one year prior. Just wondering if anyone can clarity this for me.

Increase Retro Pay
This may be a complicated question, but if I win an increase for my current claim, for example, going from 30% to 50%, do I get retro for the 20% increase rate at $263 per month, or would they factor in dependents? For example, the difference with dependents at the 50% rate is $587. Confused. And since I filed the increase just 2 months after getting my 30% rating, would I get retro pay back to that date, or from the date I filed increase? Please note, I did not file a NOD, just filed for increase due to symptoms getting worse, and rhe VA raising my meds. Any help would be appreciate!

ptsd C&P Exams went well but what happened while I was there infuriated me!
So I went to the QTC office for my TWO C&P exams today. First one was at 1300 and it was my MH C&P exam for PTSD/MST and my eating disorder. Was with the doctor for about 1-1/2 hours and we went through everything thorough. Apparently the reason I had this C&P was the fact that the VA originally rated me for Anorexia Nervosa back in 2014 separately from my MH PTSD/MST/Anxiety. Looks like I should be under Bulimia rating because of my binging/purging with laxatives and the abuse of the laxatives. The discussion was good, she did not have me 'totally' relive the disgusting event but we did touch on certain aspects. I was personally assaulted resulting with…

Increase effective dates
I have a C&P for an increase of my 30% rating for MDD on Tuesday. I'm pretty confident I will get an increase. Now, since it has been less than a year since my original claim was decided, and filed for increase shortly after, does my effective date stay the same, or does it change to the new file date of request for increase? I also have been seeing a VA Psycologist and Psychiatric doc, and the increased my medication. So I think I have a good shot. Just don't understand the effective dates.

ptsd C&P Exam Results - Need Help Deciphering
Hello all, I just completed my first round of C&P exams in almost 10 years and would like some help decoding what they mean and what percent these issues may now be rated at. I was originally denied for TBI, rated at 30% for PTSD, 10% for my shrapnel wound in arm, 10% GERD, 10% for Tinnitus, and 0% for both of my Knees and Bunions which are all service-connected. I also submitted new claims for Migraines, TBI (since I was denied in 2007), TMJ, and Sleep Paralysis but have yet to be seen for the TMJ or Sleep Paralysis. Any help or insight would be appreciated! Thanks, Bob ---------------------------------------------------------------…

C&P Results - VARO Oakland
My C&P Exams were conducted via the contractor MSLA on Jan. 11, 16 and 20th. The results were transmitted to VHA and uploaded per MyHealthyVet to Vista imaging. After making several contacts to see if I could get the results printed out for me, I have been informed that even though the results are in Vista (CPRS - VA medical records) I cannot have access to them until they are released from the VARO (Oakland). My anxiety is pinging since one of the reports is 47 pages and I want to read them. I have a congressional on my claim so I called my congressional aide and asked him if that is why I am not being allowed access to my reports. He believes the problem i…

Left Ankle Snyovitis C&P Exam
Okay so I talked to a lady I know that helps veterans and she was able to read me what the C&P exam over the phone. She is not able to send me a copy so I will do as Buck advised and go to the VA hospital and get copies of them from the VBA office. Worsening symptoms of pain with rapid progression since right foot was injured. Weight and pressure to L since using knee scooter and using L to propel. Tendonitis & Tendinopathy of Peroneus Brevis." She noted constant pain and swelling - RO…

C&P Increase
Have a question about effective dates. Just got an increase for my urticaria from 10% to 60%. My initial effective date was 12/2004 but now with the increase ebenefits lists the effective date as 12/2015. I know I had certain 10+ year protections before but how does this increase change things, if at all? Thanks in advance for any info/input.

Ptsd C&p Exam Results
Here's the summary of my PTSD C&P and would appreciate any insight as to how you think the rating will go. I have no confidence in the VA in this regard and suspect that I will get little if anything. (Sorry to be a cynic) but I've been waiting 3 years for this exam. Got a letter of notice on Wednesday dec 3 stating that I had an C&P Exam scheduled for MONDAY DEC 1. I spent a week trying to get a new exam rescheduled before being sent back to the end of the line. Fortunately, I had one schedule for this last Wednesday. Let me know what you think. Semper Fi 1. Diagnostic Summary --------------------- Does the Veteran have a diagnosis of PTSD tha…
