ptsd Advice To Write Claim For Ptsd
How much detail should I put in my letter asking for PTSD SC? Do I write a long detailed letter about all my problems and issues, or just a short version that includes the diagnosis by the Dr. I don't want to waste a lot of time if it doens't matter and everything will be decided by the Dr. diagnosis and C&P. Any examples that someone is willing to share or if you are willing to read my letter and provide feedback please let me know. I would post my letter thus far here, but not sure if that is appropriate. Thanks

Principles Of Combined Ratings For Muscle Injuries
The is the excerpt I need some help with. (a) A muscle injury rating will not be combined with a peripheral nerve paralysis rating of the same body part, unless the injuries affect entirely different functions. I am currently rated at 20% for "8513 - All radicular groups" for residuals of a closed comminuted fracture of the left humerus (8 Pieces = 8 retained screws) . I am also rated at 10% for "8024 - Tenosynovitis" for my left arm and left shoulder, and 0% for "5242 - Degenerative arthritis of the spine". My left triceps at the fracture site is very badly injured but is un-rated. The bone is also un-rated. Does the combined rating statement above mean a muscl…

Dro C&p
I have a C&P exam for three NOD's that was ordered by my DRO. I am guessing these will be pretty similar to the multiple exams I have had for the initial claims. Should I expect anything different? Thanks

hypertension Iris Seems To Have Worked
I submitted an IRIS inquiry on 18 Feb to check on the status of my reopen claim (heart disease/heart bypass surgery secondary to SC hypertension) that had seemingly fallen off the radar (long story short: the 800# counselors were telling me that my file was closed but it wasn't). On 24 Feb I rec'd an IRIS response saying that they have everything that they need and my claim is now ready for a decision and is with a rater. It shouldn't be much longer now before I receive that infamous envelope in the mail, right? (I've had all of my C&P exams, etc)

ptsd Tdiu For Ptsd
I'm 50% SC, of that 30% is for PTSD. I just filed an NOD in January, asking for DRO review. Is been two months since I Filed this, can I now request or add to that NOD a request for increase base on unemployment? Would this be the best way to do it. I know the NOD is basically a request for increase but I want them to know I'm seeking TDIU if they do increase my raiting. Or should I wait to get an increase and then file for TDUI. What you guys think?

National Resource Directory
I found this website on the VA's college info site. Looks like a good source for DOD & veteran info: https://www.nationalresourcedirectory.org/n...ntFolderId=6032

diabetes Already At 80%, Just Had C&p Reviews
Ok, I was awarded 80% overall (20% diabetes and 70% PTSD) 12 Aug 2008. The rest of my claim was defered, then denied. I appealed and finished my C&P reviews in Jan and Feb 2010. My medical doctor stated that a lot of the heart/coronary/vascular problems that I was claiming had to do with the Agent Orange thing that changed last oct/Nov? Any idea on what she is talking about. Also saw another shrink again. He was wondering how I managed to get 70% on the first C&P exam, was surprised that I had not been granted total and permanent. He stated to me that he would write his report in such a way that I would be granted total. I am totally confused now. If I am …

diabetes New User, Kinda Dumb
Don't know if this is going to work! Have 20% diabetes/ now on insulin daily. Question, been diagnosed with neuopathy left leg etc. Gotten much worse getting in right leg too. Will they add 20% to current diabetes rate? Have rating of 10% on left leg already will that be another 10% or will that rate be figured into diabetes? Excuse the lay terms. God Bless us all, the lost and the ones who feel lost.

diabetes Dro Hearing Next Week
I am in need of advice as to how to handle a developing situation. My local VSO and I both think I have a strong case on two NODs. One is for PN secondary to sc diabetes type 2. The other for CAD secondary to sc diabetes. This past Monday my VSO called to say he wouldn't be going with me to the hearing. He said that I had been assigned a VSO from their office located at the VARO. Today, I got a call from that VSO. After talking to him for ten minutes, I got the feeling he was working for the VA. According to the letter about the hearing I received,he will present my case for me. I have two thick folders for each NOD. One for the DRO, tabbed and highlighted, and one for m…

Please Help No Va Exam
I currently got out of the USN after serving 12 years active duty from Va Beach, VA in Aug 2009 and came to Sasebo Japan where I am currently residing on my husbands orders. I received paper work from the VA that I needed to get an exam back in Dec through the mail. When I contacted the embassy to schedule the exam they told me that Sasebo is not able to give that kind of exam and that I would not be able to get one unless I go back to the states. I emailed the VA with my findings and received an email back saying that my email was being passed to someone who was being assigned to my claim. Two weeks later I get the settled claim in the mail for 0% disability. This is not…
