Strange Letter Received Today
I received a strange letter today from the RO. It said they had received my applicationf or benefits. Funny thingis I have not filed a claim in over a year. I called the 800 number and the person told me the VA did it for me? Is this just a ploy to keep on stalling or do you think the VA actually did file a claim on my behalf, Perhaps and informal claim?

Vcaa Notice
I am pretty sure that I have a VCAA notice, but it is not filled in. Under the section: WE HAVE RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING: The Board of Veterans' Appeals Remand dated April 10, 2006 No evidence to date to support this claim has been received to date. I have called The Management Center about this no evidence to support the claim to date - The Mangement Center states- " We must have typed and mailed this VCAA Notice before we received your remand. I keep asking them do they not have any information on me Are my private medical records from 1965 to date, which were in my claims file at the BVA evidence and do they have those records? I keep asking t…

Rating Decisions
First of all, please ecuse my spelling and grammer..... I just noticed that the reason that i was denied this time was different from the first time they denied. I open a new claim 1997 with the rating decision being denied. I failed to appeal; I was reduced by 20% for one of the SC disabilities that I had the C&P that's required and I didn't know that on appeal my rating was protected from being reduced again...I was afraid of loosing money! I submitted a claim for IU again in March 2006 with the rating decision Sep. 6, 2006 ( which is quick). The reason for denile was different this time. I am wondering if they can just keep changing the reason for deni…

New Usmc Data Base On Line
Per NVLSP , page 1299, 2006 Edition of the VBM- Texas tech has a new database on USMC unit records and operation reports and historical info under the Vietnam Archives at http://www.ttu.edu and suggests that these records specific to a claim can be printed and sent to VA in support of claims from USMC Vietnam veterans. Each branch of service also has their own web sites with links to historical archived data.

New Cola Numbers For August!
Hello, Well the august cpi/w numbers were just issued by Bureau of Labor Stats. It is 199.6 Which translates to a COLA number so far of 4.12% That could change quite a bit because the Sept number from last year was 195 So, we need a big number in Sept figures due out on Oct 18 in order to stay at that level. I suspect it will not stay above 4%. For instance if it was the same number as Aug., 199.6 that would translate to a final number of 3.2% In any case, I don't believe this year's cola will be lower than 3%. I guess that's good news. I suppose it depends on your perspective.
