Adding To Current Claim
I completed my C&P exam back in January, was completed in July and my seperation pay is currently being recooped and will begin to recieve my benefits next month. I was give a total of 80% disability for a variety of other issues than what i have a question on. I submitted a claim for both of my feet which i was told one time it was a foot deformity, next time a bunion, then gout, then bunion before i seen my primary care physician at the VA hospital who then said it was gout again. With my claim for the C&P exam it came back with a denial reason for both feet that "The evidence does not show a current diagnosed disability." Since then my feet pain has gotten w…

hypertension Have Some Issues That Needs Some Answers.........please
Hello all, I have a few question that I am trying to get some answers on. First, has anyone have any dealings with Salt Lake City RO? and are they good about getting your claim out in decent time as well as giving you a fair rating? The reason I am asking about them is that upon me preparing for my retirement I did a (quick claim) at my last duty station (FT. Hood, TX) and the WACO RO sent my claims packet to SLC RO to be processed since it was a (quick claim). I transitioned back to my home town in ATL, GA and was wondering how all of this is going to play out. Will they transfer my claims packet to ATL once they complete it or will SLC RO be my office of contact? …

Schuermann's Kyphosis; Preexisting Or Not And Does It Matter For Comp?
Hi all, First post so hopefully Im doing this right... A VA ortho surgeon/spine specialist diagnosed me with Schuermann's Kyphosis and says that there is nothing that I could have done in the service that would have aggravated this condition. At the time of diagnosis he would not listen to my story. He wouldnt even give me a chance to make a rebuttal in the initial meeting (when the diagnosis was made.) In a later phone appt. I interrupted him and told him to listen. Even though he made the diagnosis he says that he can not change it and that it is now a matter for C&P to decide whether or not it was aggravated or caused by my military service. I had a bad fa…

Oth Discharge Eligibility
It is my understanding that if a veteran receives an "Other than Honorable" discharge, VA benefits may be denied. However, if a veteran has previously been permitted to reenlist (in this case, after about six years of service), would that constitute a period of honorable service, even though there is no 214 for that time period?

Vet2010
I was diagnosed with depression/ Anxiety and OAB/ enlarged prostate with a benign polyp removed in 2010 and another in 2011. I currently take Zoloft, colonzapham, Buprohin, Lunesta, Vesicare and must now wear adult underwear... The VA stated because these two claims are NOT permanent in nature I will be scheduled for another C and P exam in the future, that was stated in Feb 2011 when I received my rating. I was awarded 50% for depression and 40% for benign prostatic hypertrophy, they awarded me this before I was put on any meds or had to wear adult underwear. I see a Psych doc once a month and a urologist once a month. To your knowledge have there ever been a time when V…

Gulf War Presumtive Gi Bleed
I just recently got out of the hospital for emergency surgery on my bowels. I had to have 15" of my colon removed because of a bleed. I ended up with a costomy bag that the Dr feels he can reverse in about 6 months. Because this came out of the blue and the Dr could not figure out what caused this I started to do a little research and quickly came across the Gulf War presumptive conditions and one of them is GI problems. On to my questions - 1. Because this is presumptive and I did serve in the Gulf War do I automaticly rate a VA dissability? 2. Should it be code 7333 and @ 100% because I do have a colostomy bag? 3. If reversed, what would my rating be at that …

ptsd Tdiu And Llc Income
I was granted 70% disability (PTSD) with 100% TDIU a couple years ago. I received a rather nice lump sum and recently helped my brother to start his septic business by providing some cash for him to purchase his truck. Even though it is registered as a Single Entity LLC I understand from what I have read that the profits (if any) are distributed equally between all members. I thought, since I wasn't working that it would not be a problems but from what I have read so far in this forum, it seems that there is a possibility to exceed the federal poverty level. I don't want to jeopardize my TDIU as even with medication and counseling I still have problems sleeping and…
