Once you know you are eligible for Veterans Disability Compensation, the question then becomes are you entitled to it by law. This is where to post those questions. it's OK, if you are feeling confused this is not at all unusual it can be a very confusing system. If you were injured in service and have a question about whether you are entitled to file a claim, post it here. Law 38C.F.R.3.4 (a)

ptsd Retro pay question
Glad to say that my PTSD claim is finally looking like it might be wrapping up soon. Like many others, I have been tracking my claim on eBenefits and have watched my claim status go from GOE to ROE, back to GOE and then to PFD, back to ROE, and now it is at the PDA stage where it has been for the past few days. Trying to remain optimistic, I am hoping to see it completed soon with a positive outcome. According to my VSO, who has been very helpful with this whole process, my claim is a pretty much an automatic approval as my C&P exam went well, I have orders for my CAB, and there isn't much to my case that would complicate things. I understand that this is all base…

Increase for Anxiety related to chronic back pain?
Hello all, I am 20% for my neck and 10% for lumbar back. I put chronic pain on my request for increase 2 years ago. In my decision letter they increased me from 10% to 30%. I didn't disagree at the time as I felt that 30% was a fair enough rating. I just re-read the rating recently and they dismissed the chronic pain. They considered it but it does not meet the criteria or something to that effect. For quite some time now I've had much anxiety and panic attacks that are triggered as a result of my pain. I DID NOT put that on the request for increase, as I didn't realize that I could until I started reading on this forum. Question is, should I put in a requ…

Fdc Pending Decision Approval - Timeline - Recent Experience
Folks: Anyone have recent experience with how long the Pending Approval Decision Phase is now taking? I know that are a lot of variables by location, # contentions, and complexities but it's clear that the "big push" to clear the claims backlog is on. Also, today I saw something said that claims prcessing accuracy is almost at an all time high?

Recently rated 100% SMC-S1
I just got rated 100% SMC-S1 yesterday but I am not P&T. I would like to know what steps I would need to take to get my P&T? Also, being 100% without P&T, do I get commissary ID Card and Dental?

Rating increased to 50%
So the VA just awarded my claim for GERD at 10% which increased my overall to 50%. I'm retired Navy so this means the Gov't will stop robbing my retired pay, YEAH!! But I'm confused on how far back my back pay will be. I submitted my intent to file via e-benifits in August 2015. I didn't actually file the claim until 3/2/2016. The disabilities page in e-benefits states the award date is 3/2/2016. I thought the idea of submitting the intent to file was to establish an earlier filing date. I did the FDC claim as well. I haven't gotten my letter yet from the VA. But should I get back pay to Aug 2015?? Or only March 2016? I've spent the last hour searching for …

2 retro checks??
I just checked ebenefits, and it said under payments that they had mailed me a check for my retro on my just approved claims. Unfortunately, it was processed before I had put in my banking info...not a big deal. My big issue, though, is that they also processed it before i put in my dependent info as well. I know, I know, I'm new to this . Since that happened though, will they send an additional retro amount, or will they just lump it in with my monthly amount? Thanks everyone in advance

When can the VA reduce my rating "again" after reduction?
Good morning my fellow veterans, I hope that you may answer this humble request for advice with my particular reduction of rate. You see, I have been diagnosed with Asthma induced from my OIF/OEF deployments before which included backpains, eczema, fatigue. etc... well, they gave me 100% (though it says P&T also) but now reduced my rating upon seeing improvement of my asthma. Technically, they terminated my whole asthma rating which now I could only receive an overall 40% from my other symptoms which where before "does not need further evaluation" I held the 100% for 4 years but this last one the 3rd examination, my asthma was deemed improved- so called for the …

Separate Ratings for Separate Mental Disorders
I am currently in the process of separating at my EAOS in a couple months. 1 year ago I was diagnosed with Adjustment Disorder, and several months ago I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder without Agoraphobia and Major Depressive Disorder. I have a few questions in regards to my potential VA disability rating. 1. Will my Panic Disorder and MDD replace my Adjustment Disorder diagnosis for rating purposes? 2. Will my Panic Disorder and MDD be rated separately since they are two separate, unrelated diagnoses or will they be combined to form one rating? 3. My therapist has never really talked or documented the hx or possible causes of my anxiety/depress…
