Drill Pay Adjustment taken twice
Okay, so not sure if anyone else had this problem but back in 2015 the VA withheld my VA compensation for my drill pay adjustment from 2012 which was a hefty some, then December 30, 2016 the VA came back again and withheld by drill pay adjustment from 2012 again. Has anyone else have this same problem where they withheld it twice and if so, what steps did you take to get that money back from the VA?

Does divorce change my disability compensation?
I read that if you are have one spouse and one child you get a certain amount of VA disability compensation (perhaps $256). I currently have 60% disability rating. If and when I get divorced will my VA disability compensation be reduced? ...and if yes, by how much? If I then should remarry will it then increase again by the same amount? Also, do the children have to live with me in order to claim them? ...or is paying child support sufficient. Thank you in advance. update - I am already receiving a monthly VA disability compensation. My question is: will I receive the same amount of disability once and if I should remarry in the future? ... and will I still be…

After a debt repayment pla, my file disappeared
I drill and have a compensation. Usually the debt for this is taken out at some point during the next year. Received a letter in November that it would be taken out effective January. Usually, this means I will get it at the end of December. It wasn't received December 30, which I was counting on. So I called and set it up to be taken out over the next year, 2017, because I was counting on it for December. This was not a problem and I was told I would get a refund in seven days and February 1 it would be back to normal, except for the debt. But now, my payment history "can not be accessed at this time" by phone or online. I have never done this before and have been having…

How to go about requesting an disability increase due to sleep apnea
Hi - I'm currently sitting at 90% SC disability with 50% for sleep apnea. My Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) score was 25 events/hour when I was awarded the 50% SC for sleep apnea (about 4 years ago) - I've been on a CPAP machine ever since. I haven't been able to sleep consistently for the past 6-7 months so I went in for a 5 year follow up sleep study that showed my Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) score had increased to 62.3 events/hour - even while using the prescribed CPAP machine. I'm going back in this weekend to get the air level modified/increased by the sleep center that conducted the sleep study. Question: Is the AHI increase sufficient enough to put in for an i…

Flat foot, pes planus, injections to control pain
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with mild pes planus (flat foot) at MEPS in 2007, I served in the infantry and went on hikes, runs, combat patrols etc. Both of my flat feet became worse over the years due to carrying heavy weight. Now that I am out of the military is very hard for me to walk even short distances without feeling pain, the V.A. already knows about this and prescribed a set of insoles that do not work. I am currently ongoing podiatry therapy through the veterans first choice program (civilian clinic paid by the V.A.) I get 3 injections of cortisone on each foot every 2 weeks and I will have my last session next week (for a total of 2 months). I am…

Phone Conversation With Rating Officer(Roanoke)
I had submitted an IRIS inquiry to fix errors pertaining to my claim. I requested a phone call to discuss the matter. Got a call from a VA rating officer in Roanoke. Looks like my claim got farmed out from the St. Petersburg VA I informed the rating officer that I did not submit new claims for acne, or allergic rhinitis. I gave her the date,(9/12/2016), that the new claims are shown to have been submitted. I stated that I have a record of the documents submitted on that date as proof that I never filed these new claims. I mentioned that I am at the maximum rating for rhinitis, and 10% for acne and that I am not appealing either decision. …

Psoriasis 30% Rating - Nod Decision Received - Advice Wanted
Hello, I’m looking for some guidance and understanding on one of the Service Connected issues I have. I’ll apologize in advance if I get long winded but will do my best provide the timeline and decisions along the way. Here’s a simple timeline. Jan 2009 - Retired USAF Jun 2009 - VA Received initial VA Claim for Disability Dec 2009 - VA Examination at the VAMC Boston May 2010 - Notified of Decision Apr 2011 - NOD Received at VA Oct 2012 - NOD Decision sent to Claimant I agree with all my SC decisions made by the VA with one exception: PSORIASIS, initially determined to be 30% disabling. My opinion based on evidence provided, it should have been 60%. The May 2…
