Nurse Practioner vs Medical Doctor Opinion
Hello Fellow Vets, I'll try to make this a quick an easy read. I joined the Navy in July 2008 and served 5 years of continuous duty. By the time I was out I had several issues that were not present at my join date and eventually filed a claim for my benefits. Upon departure from the Navy, I filed a claim and was denied benefits for headaches, depression, a left knee and right knee condition. When I received my decision packet, it stated that these conditions could be granted a rating if found service connection. When I met with the DAV representative, he stated that if I could have my primary care doctor write a letter and say the conditions were service conne…

Nurse Practicioner vs Medical Dr. Opinions
I'll try to be brief. I was originally denied service connection for headaches, depression, and a left knee and right knee condition. However after reviewing my medical records; my VA Medical Dr. drafted a nexus letter in my favor (using the proper language *more than likely*) stating that these conditions were service connected. Months after this letter was submitted I had a QTC exam for my depression and this particular issue was found to be present. Then right when I enter "preparation for decision" in September 2016, the VA decides they need more evidence and request a C&P exam. I go to this exam in October and the opinion is later rendered that my hea…

Headaches (including Migraine Headaches)
Can some one provide there opinion because I am confused about the nurse medical statement: "The condition claimed was at least as likely as not (50% or greater probability) incurred in or caused by the claimed in-service injury, event or illness" I think she's referring to the GWI issues of this C&P when she said ? "at least as likely as not (50% or greater probability) incurred in or caused by the claimed in-service injury, event or illness" This has to do with a C&P I recently had for GWI. The C&P nurse said I didn't have any proof to claim CFS, IBS, or Fibro Instead when I showed her what I did have she pulled out from my medical recor…

hearing loss Abnormal Contralateral Reflexes
Claim for hearing loss was denied. During the C&P exam an immittance test(tympanogram) was done. This test consists of testing the ipsalateral reflexes and the contralateral reflexes. The examiner checked the box that my immittance test was normal. Underneath this, box, a different set of boxes were checked indicating that I have abnormal contralateral reflexes in my left and right ear. Is this grounds for a CUE, or should I file a NOD?

This is updated, (10-22-16) My first attempt failed when writing this I was exploding because of receiving crazy news... BVA appeal I went to my C&P exams, Jul and August 2016. The first time (3 exams), I went, then they said I had to repeat (I repeated one). I went back and repeated. I tried telling them I completed them a few months ago. it didn't help, they gave me phone numbers. I tried those numbers and were worthless! absolutely worthless! They must have lost my exams, double booked, I don't know and no…

Exam scheduled, but doesn't say C&P!
Hi all! VA sent me a letter saying that they sent a request for a private medical facility to do an exam to determine the level of my disabilities? I filed a claim and the status of that claim is gathering of evidence. My question is why would the VA request an exam requesting the level of my disabilities? Thanks for all the help.
