Filing For Ui Help!
Hello my fellow vets...I have a question. I would like to apply for UI although I haven't had a job since I got out in 2013. I have been on interviews but my anxiety level and everything has always been against me during the interview process and I never get a call back. Will this be a issue for me not having employment since my medical retirement? I meet all other requirements and am currently on ssdi just need this clarified.

90% P&t... Say What?
This may not be the correct forum for my question, but since the letter I got today mentions IU, I put it here: The letter is a summary of benefits for use in applying for benefits at state and local level (parks, DMV, etc.). It provids claim info as well as military service info, then a series of questions under the heading VA Benefits info, including.... "Your combine service-connected evaluation is: 90 percent... Are you entitled to a higher level of disability due to being unemployable: NO... Are you considered to be totally and permanently disabled due to your service-connected disabilities: YES" How is that possible? Either you're P&T or you are not. …

How Do I File For Perm Iu After I Am Rewarded Iu?
Hello, I'm ready to apply for permanent IU for my conditions. I was awarded a couple months ago with 100% IU, with an appointment in 5 years. I have huge (to me) school loans from trying to go to school to get a job and need the permanent tag to help out with these. So what forms do I need, the process, do/should I lawyer up on this part, basicly I don't have a clue as to where to go from this point and how to apply for permance. Thank you for everyone's time in reading my issues.

tdiu Won The Battle, Still Waiting
Received a letter from BVA saying that I was awarded TDIU, Citation Nr. 1426163 on June 12, 2014. It is now Aug. 15 and I didn't receive my retro yet and my July and Aug. checks were still at 90%. My BVA decision is posted on their web site but I never got paid. The retro could back over 2 years or more depending on how they calculate the appeal date. My regional office is Newington, Ct. I waited four years and never called the 800# but this is driving me nuts waiting.

Iu Claim And Ab8
Hello all. I am new to the site and have perused the forums but do not see my specific question. I filed a request for IU in Sep 2013. At that point I was combined 80% SC. Thursday of this past week I received a call out of the blue telling me I had to be present on Friday for a C&P exam. I was surprised at the no notice situation, and because I had a C&P exam in April. At the exam the Dr, told me, and showed me, that he was informing them that I am unemployable due to the severity of my cervical spine issues (SC) resulting in my inability to stand for any period of time and the inability to perform sedentary tasks. When I got home I checked Ebenefits to see if th…

tdiu Iu Denied, What Is My Next Step? C&p And Reason.
This is an evaluation of individual unemployability related to the veteran's service-connected mental disorder. The veteran's VBMS/electronic medical records were reviewed. The veteran was not individually re-examined as his last C&P examination occurred within the last year. The veteran is currently 70% service connected for Bipolar Disorder. The report of the original C&P examination conducted by Dr.X in November, 2013 indicates that the veteran met full criteria for a diagnosis of Bipolar I Disorder per DSM-IV diagnostic criteria at that time. That same report noted the following: "Veteran is currently unemployed, and he is not attending any s…

C&p States Employed Full Time -- Incorrect
At my mental health C&P, the examiner asked about what I do and I explained I work part time as an independent contractor teaching online classes and I gave her info on the typical annual earnings. She asked how many hours I work and I said between 15 and 20 for the contract, but more unpaid (coming up with ideas for new classes in hopes of getting a bigger contract). When she asked how much I work total, I drew a blank and just said, "I don't know... maybe 40 or 50 hours". When I got home, I did the math and it is nowhere near that much, and certainly not done in one sitting like a 9 to 5 job. I included hours of thinking, reading trade books, articles and jott…

tdiu New Evidence & Waiver For Bva Appeal
If my VSO and I met with a Veterans Law Judge at my VARO and signed a waiver. Requiring the Board of Veterans Appeals to decided my appeal for TDIU. Do I need to sign another waiver and attach it to this new evidence? If I'm sending it directly to BVA? Also, does faxing it make a difference in the progression of my appeal? Thanks.

tdiu Unemployability Claim-- Help!
I received 70% combined rating for bipolar II and migraines while in the Navy, which resulted in medical retirement in 2010. Fast forward four years, and I have had two attempts at working full time, fired from both jobs (within a year of each other), and been unemployed ever since. I have exhausted unemployment benefits for my state. I applied for IU MAR2014, however on ebenefits it states initial interview was conducted DEC2013. (I started the application in December, but it wasn't submitted until March.) If I am determined unemployable, will my computation date be based on DEC or MAR? I received my letter for appointment related to IU over the weekend, so I'm h…
