Va Scheduled A Iu That Wasn't Requested?
Hello, I have put into the VA for an increase in % for my digestive problems. It was at 30%. I went to the CP exam and didn't hear anything since around feb. I recently got a phone call telling me that I needed to schedule a IU for Mental health and the digestive problem. Is this normal for the VA to make exam appointments for UI even if not requested? I tried to see if I could find my C&P report notes on my healthy vets blue button, but there wasn't anything on it. I didn't even request an increase in my MH which is at 30% currently. I was under the impression the VA didn't do things unless prompted by the vet.

hypertension Is There A Specific C&p For Iu?
After receiving my 60% for IHD and total of 80% I filed for IU...It was talked about in other threads about listing the specific contention that causes the IU...I listed them all as suggested in that thread. When the claim finely started to move, the VA opened contentions for an increase in everything I listed (IHD, DMII, PN upper and lower extremities). I was scheduled a C&P that covered all of these things, but the form I received concerning the C&P's listed all the contentions, but nothing about IU. Is this the normal way they do things? My concern is that as far as I am concerned, my IU is based on the combined disability of all the contentions together, …

Do I Have A Chance At Iu, (Here's My Results)
I'm 40% for back, 30% for neck, 20% for right arm and 10% for left leg. I applied for iu, I have submitted a letter from previous employer stating he let me go because of my back problems, he really put together a great letter for me. Also my chiropractor wrote a letter saying I can't work due to the extent of my back and neck problems. Here is the oh crap moment, c and p doctor said my back effects work however I can do sedimentary work, he obviously didn't write about my limited ROM or my inability to use my dominant arm, not to mention how I can't sit or stand for more than 30 minutes, I am only semi comfortable in bed, my wife even went into the exam wit…

Attempting To Start A Business. Tdiu Procedure?
Hey, ya'll. I've had it. First off, I'm going to try and start a business (real estate). I am currently 90% plus TDIU, SSDI, and FERS retirement. Please advise. DO NOT advise me not to do this! I am looking for the procedure to follow. I read about SSD ticket to work program. Does the VA have anything similar? Second, if you pray to Jesus, please pray for me. I have been down and out since 2006, but want to give it a go before throwing in the towel for life. Pray I succeed, and can have meaning to life. It may start out as not substantial employment, but will hopefully one day transition into making a living to support my family. Finally, you may a…

Known Disability Aggravated By Service
I went into the Army in 1973 with a known disability (Heart Murmur) While in the army I was stationed at Fort Carson in 1981, while at work I was walking to the Motor Pool and passed out. The Ambulance took me to the hospital and the did test on me to include a Holter Monitor but were unable to catch anything on tape. After that I was never able to run PT without being winded. I went on for another couple years and ETS in 1985. In 1986 I had another episode of passing out, I went to the VA hospital in Reno, Nv. They did test and diagnosed me Super Ventricular Tachycardia. I have since had two Heart Oblassions and take a lot of meds to keep my heart from running away. When…

tdiu Iu Claim
Yesterday the VA conducted a review of my records for compensation in Tucson with myself not present. I also have a claim in for IU, and the employer just faxed the employment letter back)e-mailed me a copy which I faxed as well) Haven't worked since last Jan, and that was for 2 hours. I officially quit 2 weeks ago, all of this was properly indicated. And, I was recently accepted into Voc Rehab -independent living. Counselor said I no longer qualify for any other program as I am now classified as a severe disabled Vet. I am service connected at 80%. With these notes in recent claims comp exams, and recent advents what would be by chances of getting the 100%? Other…

tdiu This Was Waaaay Fast!
I filed a Request for Reconsideration on my Claim on Dec 15, 2013. About 30 days ago the VARO sent me paperwork to fill out for TDIU. I filled it out (and hand delivered it to the Satellite Office of my VARO here in Sacramento because that is where my claim was physically being handled. I am 70% SC all in my Lower Extremeties) on April 24th, 2014. Today the status of that claim changed in eBenefits that a Decision had been made and a Development Letter has been sent. In 24 yrs of dealing with the VA I have NEVER seen a rating decision made so fast...and it makes me a little bit nervous! Has anyone else seen them move this fast? I am not really sure how to …

tdiu Tdiu Claim Questions
I recently applied for TDIU after the VARO sent me the paperwork to fill out of their own accord. What I am curious about is why no two people at the VA or DAV seem to be able to agree on eligibility. DAV says I am definitely Eligible. The Benefits Counselor I sat down with at the Satellite of my Regional Office tried to tell me that I was not. I am currently 70% and have a reconsideration in because I dont feel my claim was handled properly. I will explain more on that in a moment... My rating breaks down as follows: 20% Rt Knee (Post OP Reconstruction DJD) 20% Neuropathy Rt Lower Extremity 20% Rt Ankle Partial Paralysis 10% Left Knee 10% Left A…
