Implementation of BVA grant
I was granted eed to many years back by BVA. It was then sent back to VARO for rating and implementation. They lowballed me, paid retro, and then we appealed that lowball rating. If VARO implements all BVA decisions, how would BVA word a grant? Would they just say original rating was too low and send it back to VARO for another higher rating or would BVA determine a percentage for VARO to implement?

Compensation
Recently I applied for increased compensation of my existing conditions, which were 10% hearing and 30% depression. I filed for a increase on my depression which went up to 70% from 30%. Second I filed for sciatica of right leg secondary to back. Anyway I went from 30% to 80% rating. I was not granted IU but was not filing for that, just a increase. Do I appeal being they did not consider me eligible,or do I just file a new claim for it.

SMC reopened
Spoke with a woman on the phone that said they reopen my SMC claim. I said I saw on ebenefits but the EED is wrong it’s not 9/14 it’s 4/14 and just to make sure it wasn’t messed up I attached the letter with the claim that said I had 30 days to reopen for me to get my original onset date of 4/14. She was like you can always appeal your EED for your SMC? I about lost it I said you see the letter that says the EED is 4/14/17 but you made it 9/14/2018. Why do I have to wait years for you to just grant me what you already said was my EED, this game gets old.

Remanded twice from CAVC
I have an ongoing claim from 2005 that was just remanded back to the BVA from the CAVC. This is the second CAVC remand in the last 4 years. What happens now? Does it simply fall back into the BVA cycle and stagnation? Should I ask for help from a legislative representative? I feel they will just continue to drag this decision and out and make another error that will send it back to the courts. Any help or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

NOD, OVER 1000 DAYS, PUSHED TO RAMP; UPDATE DISABILITY
I am currently 70%, have a NOD in for PTSD/MST, it's over 1000 days, I just recently elected RAMP because the VA representative told me that all cases would be going thru RAMP later in 2019, so it makes sense to get ahead of the game (and I wouldn't lose my timeline that I've already waited). About 1.5 years ago, I went in for a cervical Xray (I have spinal stenosis), and they found nodules (benign) on my thyroid. About a month ago, I had surgery to remove my thyroid, so now I have hypothyroidism; it sucks. So in one month, I have gained 16 lbs, I am on medication for the rest of my life, they are telling me that it takes awhile to level out the medication, this conditi…

Formally on the Docket
Hi all, I just received a letter from the VA stating my appeal is officially on the docket and that I have 90 days to submit any new evidence. Does this mean my appeal is close to a decision? The VA received my Form 9 in July 2017 and I did not opt into RAMP. Thanks for helping me figure this out!

Reapply for higher compensation
Hi all i now have a 90% disability rating with 100% T&D due to back pain (40%) depression (50%) and neuropathy in both legs (20% each leg) and bladder (20%). Things have gotten much worse with leg strength (neuropathy) and depression for me. My question is would it be worth the effort to apply for increase rating to 100% or just leave things as is. I am 63 and on full Social Security disability. From everything I’ve read I’m not a candidate for another review from VA because of age and no chance to improve conditions. Thank you for your help.

Ebenefits shows overall increase but no individual disability change...?
I have several appeals in process and also reapplied for several previously disapproved disabilities. Three things just happened on ebenefits: 1. My Open Claim now reflects :"decision notification sent" 2. As of today, 5 of the appealed disabilities that were previously "not service connected" are shown as "deferred". (I had C&P exams for all of these two months ago). 3. My overall rating went from 40% to 50% but with no change to the original two disability ratings (apparently now 20% plus 30% actually equals 50%?) Any wisdom as to why this would happen? And the the next question. I am a 20-year retiree. As 40% disabled, I was …
