appeal granted shows New Claim Attorney Fees
My appeal was granted and sent back to the regional office with a remand on IU. This was on August 2, 2018.I check on benefits and it shows a new claim, I did not file the new claim so when I checked it shows a claim for attorneys fees dated 10/31/2018. Can you tell me what this may be and is this a sign that my rating and remand has been completed.

Are "they" desperate?
Hi, I checked my e-mail earlier and what in the world did my wondering eyes see? An e-mail from the VBA following up on their RAMP invitation. Hmmmm. Is it me or does this positively reek of desperation for their Pilot program? It is probably just cynical me. Any thoughts, opinions, and/or advice is always welcomed. Thank you. H

Does the VA Law Judge normally asked alot of question?
Good afternoon fellow vets, Today was my BVA video conference hearing after 13 years of waiting, my file was certified with the BVA on 7/7/2015... and my claim was filed Nov 2005 for those wondering about the time line. I have a very challenging case involving multiple discharges with 2 honorable discharges and 1 Big Chicken Dinner for striking an officer. In the beginning the VA merged everything together and tried denying everything placing all my illnesses in the bad period. So I had to fight to have the periods broken up which was suppose to be by government law. ( every time you reenlist, you get a discharge summary) … about 9 years ago the VA finally recognized al…

Never quit, never surrender.
Funny, the Marines taught me this. Several years ago when I got TDIU my lawyer wanted to quit (as I would be taking time at the RO or BVA that another veteran needed) and I wanted to press on. We pressed on and I was awarded 100% P&T at the RO with SMC S. I still wanted to press the issue but my lawyer said we should quit, he had just gotten paid. I ended my relationship with my lawyer and filed a NOD for EED of SMC S. I also found out that my lawyer had written a letter to the VA stating I was done with my case and to not return it to BVA. I cited to the VA that my lawyer no longer represented me and I wanted my case to go back to BVA. I have had more luck at …

Iu remand
They ask hubby to file for iu, because his physician said he was not able to work. We had an appeal at bva they approved increase in diabetes and for chronic kidney disease secondary to diabetes. . They remanded the ckd and iu. They sent us forms to file iu. It showed on ebennefits as a claim. We up loaded forms they requested. And they took it off. We were told it went back to remanded it with ckd. My question is the Vso that helped to file it said it was a fully developed claim? So will they make a decision on both at the same time? When it was on ebennies it showed that it should be completed between dec 17 and feb. 2019. And are they possibly holdin…

TDIU Claim Question
Hello, I recently received a 70% rating last month (10% Tinnitus, 30% Migraines, 50% Bipolar). I want to file for TDIU, but I am nervous that the VA will try to find a way to reduce my benefits. I haven't been able to work for almost 3 years. My wife works, but we are counting on the VA benefits to make ends meet. My specific question is: How do I file for TDIU, will I have a new C&P exam for a TDIU claim, and can the VA use this exam to try to reduce my benefit.

RAMP appeal closed no change in AB8 or profile
Hello.....just looking for experiences with RAMP. I moved my appeal from 2015 and the legacy lane to the RAMP process in June. When I sent my election back, I asked for an informal review. On the 26th, my status was closed and I did not receive an informal review from the DRO. A notification letter has been sent to me, but hasn't arrived. I don't understand why. The only thing I see on the historical CLAIM needed from me box is this line/ 'PROM vsr to fix notification and update participant profile.' Also, informal review no longer needed. Anyone got a clue ??. My claim was for PTSD. I didn't meet criteria for that but did have 'other speficied traumatic etc'...Dr sa…

BVA moving to fast for ROs.
The BVA just changed its docket date to January 2017. I have a form 9 filed for the beginning of 2017 and it hasn't even been certified to the board yet. How is this going to work? Actually I have 2 form 9s files in 2017. One at the beginning of the year and one at the end.

Rush to judgement?
On 8/29/2018 my appeal was reported to have 73,496 "ahead of you". On 8/30/2018 my claim was reported to be "before a VLJ". On 10/11/2018 a decision was made, 6 issues denied and 5 issues remanded to AMC/RO. On 10/11/2018 it was reported that there are 69,361 claims "ahead of you". I have no attorney nor VSO. I am not interested in the RAMP program. I have not requested advancement on the calendar nor am I eligible for such consideration. Does anyone have any thoughtful insight as to how and why I "jumped" the line in front of so many other veterans?

Tinnutis SOC Issued. Need Help For BVA I9 Form
Filed in 2015 Denied April 2016 NOD DRO review SOC issued 20 Sept. 2018 Need help as to how to argue this case. IMO stated issue was most likely related to service. Evidence on record VA ignored. This is a very rough draft of my argument. I am in receipt of a Statement Of Case concerning my claim on Tinnitus and wish to appeal to the Board Of Veterans Appeals with the following argument. First and foremost, I state again my tinnitus as I know now what it is, was a condition I was not aware of what it was in service and that would not go away and passed it off as it’ll be fine in a week or two. I was never asked at my discha…

Audit
Office of management and budget audited my account. A waiver request was denied. The VA claimed that retro payment in error. They began deducting 1000 out of my benefit pay. Because I was doubtful of the audit results, I reviewed my pay history on e-benefits and discovered evidence that contradicted the audit. The VA claimed that the decision was based on my claim folder and previous award letter. A review of my pay history and the recent awards letter was not mentioned as a evidence in the decision to attach my monthly benefit. Because I had outstanding appeals, the retro payment made sense. I contacted the 800# who verified that the payment was legitimat…
