  1. You should get a C&P on each. The tinnitus will probably be at the hearing C&P. pr
  2. Congrats! You'll be done w/the VA's ch*t when you either give up or die. jmo pr
  3. Yes, it is but please refrain from the racial comment and picking on clowns. I don't think being "black" has anything to do w/it. As for the shut down, it won't last that long. Yes, some will suffer, a little, but we still live in the best place in the world. jmo pr
  4. retiredat44 - during my appeal I filed for TDIU, no less than 4 times, and I started filing at the 30% ratings level. I eventually won TDIU in two decisions but kept appealing and won 100% back to my original filing date. Too bad your AL VSO was so worthless and you lost that time!!!!!!!!! pr
  5. Obviously, it wasn't such a simple question, otherwise "you" wouldn't have asked it. It has already been asked/answered/posted at least 5 times, in one way or another. I'm sorry if you take offense to me. I suggest you not read anything "I post," as on occasion, I get frustrated w/some questions being posted & answered, over and over, and may use an expletive or two. Unfortunately I can't prevent how each veteran reacts to my statements(s). I think I will have a drink(must be 5 o'clock somewhere) and thanks for the suggestion. Would you like some whine w/your geezzz? jmo pr
  6. Who folking cares!! It won't last that long, if they do. Jesus, some of you folks need something else to do. The best thing you could do is start picketing your VARO, until they get back to work. jmo pr
  7. Should be anytime now, once "they" get back to work. ;-) jmo pr
  8. I suggest all correspondence w/the VA be written. "If it can't be read, it wasn't said." jmo pr
  9. You should be but ya never know w/the VA. They often miss stuff in your records. pr
  10. Judging by what you've posted, I'd say the only reason for a denial would be for service-connection (SC). If that's covered you should be golden. jmo pr
  11. You have a shot at 50% or 70%, maybe more but knowing how the VA used to be I'd probably bet on 50%. Ya never know w/the VA, tho. They could surprise ya and give you 100%. They usually like a GAF of 25 or lower for TDIU or 100%. jmo pr
  12. The BVA is part of the VA so, of course, they aren't going to say anything bad, about the VA. jmo pr
  13. They're a firm contracted to do C&P exams for the VA. pr
  14. Mental health notes usually need your doctors approval, for release to you, as they are afraid you might go off the deep end over something they wrote and try and hunt them down. pr
  15. Yup, I believe that's it. Lucky you! pr
  16. Sounds great, John!!! Go get 'em!!! pr
  17. No, if they decide to reduce, you must request a hearing within either 21 or 30 days, can't remember which, or the reduction will take place. Failure to request the hearing will result in the reduction. Your only way to delay or stop it is the hearing. They will need another C&P exam prior to reducing you. pr
  18. Hey, good on you, bro!!! I'm soooooo happy for ya!!! I'll have one of those martinis also. Now stay well, live long and make 'em pay. jmo pr
  19. I don't know if there is a specific form but you can just write a simple letter requesting A&A for your spouse. In addition to that letter, I would have his physician fill out VA form 21-2680, the A&A exam form and enclose that w/your letter requesting A&A. http://www.va.gov/vaforms/search_action.asp?FormNo=21-2680&tkey=&Action=Search pr
  20. John, if he's 65yo or older he doesn't really need any proof for pension, except maybe his DD-214. At 65yo all war era vets are considered NSC disabled. Married pays roughly $16k annually, with housebound it's just under $19K annually and with A&A it's roughly $24k, less whatever they receive from SS. He should get his meds for free and free medical care. For HB and A&A he'll need forms filled out by his doctor, for the VA. Thanks for helping another vet!!! pr
