  1. I read on Shades of Green Resort web-site in Orlando is for Military personal only.
  2. I agree with jbasser, be nice to go where the sunshine's & the weather is nice, may try to get a little fishing in & Reasonable room rates and all the veterans benefits is nice. But I can't promise any commitments right now, as we need to save up for transportation and the Hotel, food ect,,ect,(equip rental) if its all in agreement with the other members we would love Orlando (mainly because of the dry warm weather)& pretty girls...LoL As for an any place to have the hugfest any warm sunshiny place is ok with us and its reasonable veteran friendly as j mention. June/July 2016 should give everyone that wants to go and is able enough time 13/ 14 months should give everyone enough time to save up that is in our situation. Hopefully Our Health will allow us to come. ....................Buck
  3. This is the first derogatory statements about Dr Bash?? I seen here on hadit. I always have heard good things he does for the veteran...maybe he had a plan? were not attorneys ! maybe Dr Bash left that in the report for a reason? you should called him and ask him about all that? I heard he spends his own $$ getting IMO'S & phone calls emails copies, gathering evidence ect,,,ect,, a lot of other costly things he does the veteran don't know about... ...so hence the extra payment. This all should have been decided when he was Hired. jmo ....................Buck
  4. Heres a link on private Burials.. Georgiapapa is right....but read up on this link. It may help you? http://www.cem.va.gov/cem/burial_benefits/private_cemetery.asp ..............Buck
  5. Budda2015 If her husband was SC for his disability's (S.C.D.)getting cpensation at he time of his death and if his S.C.D cuse his death yes she is entitled, but if not there maybe another type of compensation for her? read up on this link about the DIC Program. I know she should get burial expense but I don't know how much? probably not much? but every little bit helps. The VA adds the spouse as dependent monthly a lot of spouses don't know or realize that? depends on how much he was getting they add a 10% for the spouse...I think its 10%...maybe 5%? http://www.benefits.va.gov/COMPENSATION/types-compensation.asp ..................Buck
  6. This may be of some help? http://www.cem.va.gov/burial_benefits/ ..............Buck
  7. Any dates would work for us my spouse and I....she just applied for SSD, were waiting for that. If our health will allow were in. We can help with T-bird expense be glad to help actually all members that can help get her to the hugfest would be greatly appreciated by all hadit members...if we go we will probably fly to the nearest city and just rent a car. we would need to make reservations ahead of time....(we will start saving) I would love to meet the lady that started hadit Mrs tbird and thank her personally, also some of the hadit members help me with my claim, Ms Berta and Philip Rogers are two that help me about 14 years ago, I did all the paper work but they advised me on some very important things that help me winning my claim here on hadit. I would love to meet you broconvet and asknod & Ms carlie Gastone georgipapa,Free-sperit chuck75,John999 & other, without you guys us veterans would not be so well informed. I Thank God everyday for me finding Hadit.com & I like helping other veterans with their claim's. '' I want to make a correction here I said above ''she just applied for SSD'', I thought her and a friend went to do that but they never did so I was mistaken that she filed. sorry for the error! Thanks ..................Buck

  11. Years ago 20 I think?...I ask a VA Dr this question to a VA Dr without even mention compensation. I ask the VA Dr about my arthritics in both knees if I could have got that from an old injury when I fell off a truck bumper while in Vietnam and landed on both knees....severely bruise both knees....well years later I got a VA diagnose that I had acute arthritics in both knees and I ask her if the injury could cause my arthritics in my knees? The VA Dr said ''no I don't think that has anything to do with it and your not getting compensated for it... WTH? I never ask to be compensated for it , I ask if it could be the cause of it...and in the report the VA Dr just lied about a lot of other things as well some of the things said in her report was never said while I was being examined . So VA Dr's are very untruthful . & against a veteran from being compensated. what does it matter to them? there not the ones that was injured. .........................Buck
  12. I knew it ED) could be compensated I didn't know how much? but anything is better than nothing I didn't know it could not be rated a % but I did know it could be compensated to SMC's Thanks Phillip ..............................Buck
  13. I would request a DRO hearing and tell the DRO your story face to face and bring all your evidence/old and new with you at the hearing. the DRO should have your c-file. if you moved and did not contact the VA of your New Address...IDK what will happen then?? if you put in for a change of address maybe that's your proof? but if they ''called'' you then your argument would be why didn't they call you in time to make the C&P? recheck your dates on when you sent in change of address (if you did?) or the dates they sent you the C&P Letter....and when they called you all of that you will need at your Hearing. It would be good to get a DRO Hearing....you can file it when you file your NOD in comments. you won't be reduce until this is finalized/If you can prove your disability has got worse then you may get a increase rather than a decrease. good luck ...................Buck
  14. it should be rated a %....look at the ratings for this type disability ED, and see how much you should be rated?
  15. Pete 992 this is for another veteran I am helping... .I remember I went to my R0 upon request to see my c-file back in 2002 and it was not there...so this is why I ask this question...can a veteran request to see his c-file before a hearing? I never got to see my c-file before my hearing, Lucky I had took new & more material as medical evidence to my Hearing. They may not let you take or add anything to your c-file but a VSO can make you copies and that's what I went to see my c-file for. but I did get a form stating my c-file was not there I think its form 95'' report of contact'' I am just in fear this is what will happen to this veteran. ..................Buck
  16. Any one know what happens if a veteran can't see or get copies of his C'file within a year of his NOD? how would he know what to say in his claim? or DRO Hearing or BVA??? ......................Buck
  17. It use to be a veteran was eligible if he served 2 weeks of basic training but thats out now a veteran must serve 24 months of active duty. I know a veteran that served 2 weeks in basic and fell and hurt his back he got a medical discharge...was in the service about 2 months which most was spent in military hospital...he got his DD214...An about 45 years later I took him to the VAMC and he enrolled for medical care...he was on SSDI at the age of 19 he never work a job just his short stint in the military...but he did have a DD214...Remember his time in the military was around 1966. Sadly he passed away last year at age 70 died in his sleep. ..............Buck
  18. I have a choice card...but can't use the damn thing I live 24 miles from VAMC....its getting the appointment and VA Making it good is the problem...wait times are long especially if the veteran needs to be seen sooner than later, my VAMC don't seem to care one way or the other its at least a 30/40 day wait and in most cases its over 60 days. I waited almost 65 days to be seen for my appointment and they cancel the appointment (having prostate problems) can't use the choice card live to close to the Medical center, I ask my clinic why is it taken so long for appointment? the clerks just say sir that's all that is available....my pcp Don't seem to give a rats ass one way or the other either no one at the VAMC SEEMS TO GIVE A SHI## If I had the $$ I'd sure use outside care...I don't think they will ever get the VA Healthcare Back on track. jmo ......................Buck
  19. This is good to know incase I or any other veteran needs it in the future. ........................Buck
  20. Good question broncovet and what does a veteran do when they won't read or accept his evidence for his/her claim When at present appeals is all the veteran has. ...............Buck
  21. Even if you were paying the S.L. off with what you get in compensation each month, does this mean they pay off the Balance of the loan or the whole loan its self to include what he paid in from 2000? if they go back to 2000 for each payment that sounds like a big hunk of change. hope this is the way it goes good luck ....................Buck
  22. I think ebenefits would worry me to death.... I just used snail mail with my claims. (all sign return receipts) I don't have an ebenefits account. ............................Buck
  23. ms berta. would this be a cue? in your statement above you said. I should not even had to prove this was a P & T disability but knowing how incompetent my RO is, I did prove that, yet they refused to consider the evidence. ..................Buck
  24. Good info here ms berta. if a veteran is 100% P&T or TDIU P&T.....& Dies does this mean his spouse can still file on the benefits? I had a friend who's hubby died of his S.C. disability's and she gets around 1100 month (Some type of DIC?)...that's a big difference than what he was getting. he was also 100% P&T with SMC's Vietnam veteran with several AO disability's. He passed away in 2013 Who would she see about this? she used a VSO in her home town I think VFW or DAV? Thanks for this Information ms Berta ..............................Buck
