  1. Wow its the DD form Direct Deposit 24-0313 I wonder why it was not listed?? in the VA Forms Dept. oh well glad we know what form it is. ......Buck
  2. Well Dr Bash mention that the form 21-526(b) covers a lot it covers New Claims or Reopen claims , claims for increase, claims for secondary....which is what I had assumed it was for. Oh well learn something new everyday. Buck
  3. Well we got the Application in....it was a young girl I had problems understanding her she talk soft but my wife could. ...we were there little over a hour, the clerk mostly was typing, my wife told her about why she stopped work because her employer let her go because of her disability's,, wife presented her evidence medical records and D'r letter She ask her to make the on set date be Oct 2011 and she told us that they can't make her onset date back then because she was working in between...I had made some copies regarding the on set dates that was on the SSA web site she read it and made a supplement order form but advised that it probably won't be awarded...but she said it depends a lot on the medical information and the people who read it that makes the decision.. Anyway we know she will probably be denied on that we just hope she is awarded the SSD?...if she is denied on the on set date (when she became disable but still worked were getting an attorney to help with that because she falls in the category of what the SSA web site mention. The clerk said she should be getting letters within the next two/three month 'possibly for information ect,,ect,,, and possibly a decision in 3 or 4 months.....but like Hamslice mention the wait could be a longer wait. We hope that what I got coming in with the VA & My SSA Retirement will get us by the next 6 months or so. we just had a whole new Central Heat &A/C installed last year and financed it..a Bill we don't usually have. We have some savings but we don't want to get into that , but may have to . Oh well I mention to my wife we may go stock up the frezzer with bologna (on sale) and Bread the next 6 /12 months....she said yep & we can call it Round Steak. eh! Thanks Everyone for your help and suggestion/opinions we both appreciate you guys. ......................Buck
  4. I Would send it send back to the RO that has your records especially if you have received SOC. However if it was the Phoenix RO send it to them.....on the 9 form its self it says to send it back to the RO that has your Records Others are welcome to chime in here because I could be totally wrong. since they started up the two different locations east & west intake centers in Ga & Wi? ...............Buck
  5. I agree with jbasser ''opinions are opinions'' I think if we disagree with someone just agree to disagree, also to me in my opinion a lot of this is stressful anyway and some of us just get to personal & our feelings and emotions take over and some times the results are as stated above. I think everyone on hadit has good intentions helping veterans with their claims experience, even if some of us don't agree with some of the information, usually it gets resolved and another vet has learned more about the claims process. Everyone working together here on hadit is what makes hadit the web site it is. Most of us have learned a lot here on hadit and most of us have a lot more to learn. jmo .................Buck
  6. Congratulations Buddy & I'm glad your friend talk you into going back to the VA & Filing your claim's Enjoy the all top notch benefits. ....................Buck
  7. Ain't that the truth Ms Berta! It may help a lot of veterans figure out there benefits and appointments ect,,ect,, but it won't help veterans that don't use computers. jmo I'm helping a vet with his claim at present because he don't have a computer or know anything about them. were doing it the old fashion way snail-mail with return signed receipts. ...........Buck
  8. I believe its 21 -526 (b) & attach medical reports. jmo ...............Buck
  9. Our two Maltese could hear a knat fart in there sleep, like 63SIERRA Mention above Lol. Sleep meds give me a hangover.../headaches. ................Buck
  10. Ain't that the truth oiler1995 yes I agree. ..............Buck
  11. Okay sounds good! I nominate & place my vote for jbasser for organizer/ coordinator. ..................Buck
  12. Yeah ain't that the truth Hamslice... That will probably be the way for us too, get to the window and they just pile her medical papers on top of the desk and say ok we'll call you or send you a letter with our decision...if they tell us that that's when we /she will ask to discuss some of her disability's and the on set date/dates...not sure how for back SS will go on that but she has medical papers signed by MD's at the VAMC ....to determine the onset date we know thatwill be hard even with medical evidence if she denied for that we'll call an attorney. this is why we didn't do it on the puter. she trying to get all her eggs in one basket and go to SSA Office tomorrow morning 10:15 is her Appointment time but it probably be close to 11:00 by the time were called to the window...this is a busy busy SSA Office. ...................Buck
  13. Navy4life I do that too.. . Carl Jr's Restaurants give 10% veteran discounts and I been in some places that don't give 10% D for veterans instead they give 10% senior citizens discounts...sorry you younger vets hang in there your time will come... I think its a nice thing for us veterans and the people show there appreciation for our service. ...................Buck
  14. yeah I agree free_spirit about the termination part...were not pushing that....That family has been so nice through out the years and helped us out more than once....I think they knew how hard it was on her with all her disability's she had they tried to get her to quit a year or two ago. she just kept hanging on. Anywayz Were going to try to get an onset date when she became disable ...> so disable she could not do her work efficiently as SS states it says ''even if she was working'' when her disability's arose so bad she could not do her work in an efficiently manner''. So she is going to ask the onset date be that date (2 years ago) medical records should prove that...some Dr's a couple years ago was terrified that she was still working We got a lot of medical records together last night to take that she thinks is important to prove her disability marked & hi-lighted, so we will see what they say tomorrow I'll let you guys know. Thanks everyone for the information! ...................Buck
  15. Ms Tbird In my opinion and suggestion, I recommend all of us veterans put into a pot what we can & don't mater how much anyone wants to give just give what they can to support your trip so it don't cost you a thing but your time. if all hadit members agrees with me & its approved by you? I'll put in 50.00 bucks I and on behalf of all the hadit members and veterans that have used hadit in the past & present that help them win claims & all the information you have provided us is priceless and we could never thank you enough. you are a God Send lady! (''Knowledge is Power'') Just a little appreciation and a Big Thank You for all you have did for our fellow veterans and all our future veterans to come. We all appreciate what you have did for thousands of veterans and give unselfishly, without you creating hadit.come thousands of us veterans would not be were we are today and I'd love to show you my thanks with unconditional support ..help support the hadit web site going and help support your trip next year...with everyone's help and support this is just nothing to compare what you have did for us vets! its the least thing we can do for you unconditionally! P.S. I was just thinking if we get enough members to give and have enough funds it would be good if we can do this for our little sweet Ms Berta also. I think you and Ms Berta deserves the roundtrip all paid in full. ..................Buck
  16. Well the thing is her boss terminated her because of her disability's'....she had plan to work another 3 to 6 months of this year due to financial obligations. wrongful termation yes but her employer only had 6 employee's & the law reads an employer has to have over 15 employees...so that knock out any law suit as for as the ADA ''American Disability's Act'' she is 60 be 61 in Sept as for as her OSD'' on set date'' she has medical records that show she became disable around 2011 About the clerks I mean I just hope we get someone that knows what they do and can answer truthfully to our questions that basically we already have the answers to ...I suppose we could ask for the supervisor? We know not to expect good things...so we won't get our hopes up. ................Buck
  17. I think jbasser would be a great organizer/ coordinator for the Shades of Green Hotel & Resort sounds like they have a lot of discounts and no tax for veterans & there family's! He has been there so he knows the area fairly well.& I believe this hotel will accommodate the Handicap, wheel chair ramps wide doors ect,,ect,, As for as everyone that wants to go just let all of us here on hadit & who ever becomes the coordinator /organizer know your coming and how many, be good to have an estimated headcount. I think if there is enough people the conference rooms are free (but we need to find out before any commitments) because I'm not sure on that?? also Jbasser last week on the hadit radio podcast show he mention an airline that is reasonable that flies to Orlando . Once we all decide on a place it will make things flow more smoothly! Once we all get there and meet each other we can all decided on what we want to do and just have a ''at will'' Itinerary and plan to meet in the conference room at a certain time for hugs and shake hands and have a good old time! Be good to make stick-on name tags/with our names & with ''Hadit.com'' name on it. (approved by ms Tbird) Some of us would just like to sit and drink coffee or a few beers &BS and some would want to get out and go sight seeing & see the mouse and shop as for us were old fogie-stogies we just probably sit and talk my wife Has the gift of gab so anyone that meets her be prepared to do a lot of talking LoL. I am shy and quite and bashful & ugly as home-made soap eh! LoL With a year to plan seems that a lot of us could save up and make it... we all just make our own reservations & plans. we would fly in ...and probably stay 3 or 4 days/just the two of us...& it would be great for all the younger vets to bring there family and kiddos they have a lot to see & do in Orlando. I realize its hard to make a commitment this far out for some and a lot will probably change there minds & that's ok as long as we know maybe within 60 days of advance how many actually plan to attend , anything can happen between now and then but we can still plan for it. This needs to be a relaxing vacation for all of us. I could not be an organizer/coordinator because I can't talk very well on the phone. (bad hearing) Anyway this is just a suggestion! .....................Buck
  18. That's great Navy04 Thank you for sharing all your post and experience it has helped me a lot & I'm sure a lot of other veterans as well. I agree with GP you should have been awarded P&T. Take care and good luck in the future with happiness and health. ...............Buck
  19. TackitBlue, I'm sure some of the members will answer you tomorrow hadit has a template as what they may ask you at the exam and how to answer just hang in there bud! .......................Buck
  20. we purchase a new well built mattress that helps 75% at least! & make sure all the Bills are paid round the first of the month that will make anyone sleep better.. ................Buck
  21. Yes I agree with ya Hamslice...& Thanks No she won't file for unemployment if she has to look for work ''cause she can't work''. ( I should not have ask about that dummy me) She just going to file for total disability and hopefully get a 3 year onset date...were gonna ask for it if she is denied we'll get an experience SS attorney, were ready for the long haul hope its not but that's just the way it is. We go Wed to the SSA Office (have an appointment 10:15 am) Thanks Everyone! .................Buck
  22. I'm sure someone will step up if its going to be 2016 after school is out hopefully we'll have some better info way before then! Remember 2016 in election year November! .................Buck
  23. well she wants to give it up to much pain in her back and other disability's keep her from doing her job efficiently. she probably could but she just so tired of suffering so I don't blame her. I tell her she just wore out like me. .........................Buck
  24. It must be different in different parts of the country here in Dallas Tex & suburbs some won't ask for military ID and some will, I have a DOD ID Card but I have used my VAMC Card too, I think a lot of it depends on the checkers. Home Depot is the worst tho. Just say your a veteran & would like to use your military veteran preference for the 10%discount. That's all I do ....some ask for the ID some don't. ...............Buck
  25. Humm good questions Pete992...sure hope we find out! .............Buck
