  1. It shouldn't take long. When you go to your appointment ask where eligibility office is and when you go there to eligibility ask if they have your correct address and info. You can also in a few weeks call VA phone number and ask if they have correct address and phone number. Anything other than that can be fixed by telling them when you go to your appointments. Take advantage of all your entitled to with VA and ask questions! VA phone # is 1 800 827 1000 VA hospital and medical clinics will give you their phone numbers. Good luck.
  2. I just received a 60 mg shot of Toradol this morning for severe back pain. My doctor has given this to me before but today he told me it is bad for your kidneys. Does VA have similar fast acting shot that is safe for severe pain?
  3. I would say 10%. I would be surprised if it was more than 30%. Good luck.
  4. Please don't give up on Tinnitus service connection. It took me two times to get it. I had to prove that my mos of Boatswains Mate was hazardous noise environment. You can get it if you keep working at it. I would definitely appeal if I had a strong IMO for service connection. I have had to appeal to DRO once and BVA once and won both appeals. A good IMO will make the difference even though they may ignore at regional office level. Don't forget that most of us here have had to fight hard to get our service connection and percentages. It took me almost twenty five years to get to 100% P&T and that is with consistent and constant claims for 25 years! Don't ever give up. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
  5. Broncovet: I can't answer your question but Social Security has a toll free number at 1 800 772 1213. Perhaps they can tell you over the phone. They have been very helpful to me when I call as I am not only 100% P&T but collect SSDI as well. Good luck.
  6. I am Bipolar at 70%. I guess the only way they rate any mental condition is the chart based on how much it incapacitates you.
  7. I have the same error message when I try to log in.
  8. I just tried logging into ebenefits and I got the same error message. If the VA was a regular business they would have gone bankrupt by now.
  9. I have done this and all it did was slow down my claim. They just added it to the previous claim.
  10. I was just awarded 100% P&T and when I got it I was immediately offered dental. I had a new crown put in and cleaning done in three months time and a reminder to see dental office once every year.
  11. Don't trust Ebenefits. It will play ping pong with your claim until it is finished. There is a good chance you might get IU. If you don't get IU you might consider paying for Independent medical opinion or IMO to bolster your claim and appeal the decision. I was denied bipolar disorder service connection many times until it went to a DRO review at the regional office and was finally approved. Focus on how you will appeal the decision if you are denied and study the different avenues of appeal. Most of us get high ratings because of claim work over time winning small battles here and there.
  12. Hang in there! The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
  13. I would definitely appeal. I would appeal for DRO decision and if you lose appeal to BVA. Most of us have to appeal. Good evidence usually wins out eventually. Perhaps get another IMO as well. Patience is the key.
  14. I use secure message to draw attention to VA mistakes and record problems I am having with medical issues without going to VA. It works.
  15. Great news ArNG11 and congrats. Try to breathe easier. It takes awhile to decompress after the long fights with the VA. Good luck!
  16. Thank you broncovet and green. I worried more about this than I should have. Nice to know there are other vets who can help with these kind of questions. I am going to let it go and forget about it.
  17. I am rated 100% permanent and total as of August 2015 with the addition of 70% rating for new bipolar disorder rating added to numerous ratings which before was 80% . My question is this: Ebenefits and 1-800 Peggy are both wrong about my effective dates for five disabilities. I got a copy of my c-file and it shows I am over the twenty year mark for these five disabilities. Should I do something about this or let it go because the VA retaliates against those who make waves? I can sit on it but it makes me wonder what else is the errors in my c-file or if they are deliberately pushing back dates?
