Thank you to everyone who is trying to help me! I will do my best to answer the questions and find the information you've all requested. I have to look through my binders of info!

Looks strangely familiar to my VA notes by my C&P examiner. I'm so hot and angry now. Between the C&P exams and the wait times, this crap sure gets old doesn't it?

    Hey PWRSLM,
I'm also wondering if this is an RFE because the regulation under which these disabilities are "required by the regulation or diagnostic code (DC) under which the Veteran is service-connected(SC) [III.iv.3.B.2.a.  Criteria for Requesting Review Examinations]." I've not had an opportunity to look at my 2015 decision because I've been travelling for work, but when I get home, I'll be doing so.

For those who may have won their case(s) at the BVA and were owed retro, about how long did you wait?
I feel bad for constantly checking my ebenefits and bank accounts, but what's owed equals tens of thousands of dollars and I'd like to get that.
It's only been a couple weeks since I was notified, and I know it's totally "unreasonable" to expect it before the 30 day mark, but does anyone have any idea?
I have a meeting Thursday with my VSO to talk about the decision, but after almost 8 years, I'm tired of waiting for it.

After winning my case (after an 8 year battle) I too waited several months for my back pay. I got fed up and emailed the Secretary of Veteran Affairs @  robert.a.mcdonald@va.gov and kept the message short, simple, and sweet (don't be a jerk)!
Within 3 weeks I had my back pay.

    EXCELLENT!!!!!
"She also stated that she was glad I emailed them because my file had been sitting on a remand desk and they "missed" the partial grants"
    DISGRACEFUL...
The Fast letter implementing BVA grants, even if partial is here under a search...I don't have time to find it but will try tomorrow.....
Any vet who has received a partial grant from the BVA should whip out a copy of that Fast letter and send it to them, by Fax or via IRIS complaint.
I am glad you found a VA employee who really helped you...and "dear "Bob did too.
(I think they deliberately 'miss' the partial grants sometimes, when the vet with that grant has probably waited far too long for it already.)

    Hey everyone,
Just a quick update! After constantly checking Ebenefits with no update, I finally called the VA on Monday and asked them what was going on. They gave me some song and dance about this, that, and the other, but last night I logged in and it was updated to reflect my 80% SC rating, and just as importantly, my effective dates weren't messed with! All my grants were effective as of July of 2008! So, now I know for sure that my back pay is being worked on as I type and hopefully it won't be too long before my family and I have it in our hands! It should be  large five figure sum of which we will put on our house and I will probably drop down to part time work! The eight year wait is almost over!!

Granted 30% asthma according to AB8 letter. (From 06-03-2011)
    03-20-16. Received SOC regarding headaches.
03-21-16 Submittef rebuttal to SOC and fired VSO. (Did not follow remand instructions/failed to consider nexus for migranies related to service connected asthma, rhinitis, nasal blockage, deviated septum never addressed).
Have not received official rating yet. Also did not receive retro payment or new monthly adjustment for April.
Damn VA. Real good at sending BS denials. Not so good at getting Veterans their entitlements when proven wrong.

    WOW-that is Wonderful News!
It is absurd and even cruel that anyone's claim should take 6 years from denial because, as gba stated, the "entire appellate period" was approved.
And it highlights how some bogus C & P exam can cause a denial....because the full appellate period means they had the evidence all along.

    Hello All,
Some of you may know, and I'm hoping for some advice...
5 months ago, I was granted SC for several issues with a minor remand for issues that reach back to my original filing date of 2008. I'm looking at tens of thousands in back pay. I've heard neither hide nor hair from the VA regarding my SC grants, back-pay, or anything for that matter since the original SOC from the BVA.
I work with lady here who used to be pretty high up in the VBA and came to my place of employment after a stressful time at the VA. She told me that BVA cases should be implemented within three months and that my five month wait time is the apparent exception and NOT the rule. She has the Secretary's Chief-of-Staff's email address and she said he responds to help veterans.
Has anyone else gone this route? Would I be digging my grave by doing this? She also said that she would go that route because she has, and to do it before going through my Senator/Congressperson's office.
My County VSO told me to suck it up an continue to wait through years 9/10. I'm f#$%^&* tired of waiting.
    What's the consensus amongst Hadit?

My suggestion on what to do would be to pay all debt off, get 100% debt free.
Put 10-15 grand in an emergency only fund and don't touch it unless it is a real no other option emergency.
Learn to live debt free. Pay cash for needs. Be very careful not to classify WANTS as needs.
Always refrain from impulse buying for wants. Think about it for 30 days and see if it is still a want. Most of the time you will forget about it.
Take a little bit, go enjoy a nice vacation and get that out of your system.

When the pressure of credit payments are over your head, it can be a heavy weight. Paying cash for needs can save a whole lot of money and you can end up having much more using your money to pay for things instead of paying interest on things.
Just my opinion. I have been buried in debt before and am now debt free and man does it feel a lot better.

Just received an email from the office of the Secretary which stated that his office has received my email, and has forwarded my inquiry to VA Leadership for review and direct feedback to me.
So...who knows what that means, but perhaps they'll call me after reviewing my file and tell me what is taking so long to get my back pay and implementation. I should be at 80%, not the current 60%.

I sent an IRIS request back in late January and received the typical canned response. I went ahead and emailed the Secretary yesterday afternoon.

I certainly do. Despite well documented evidence, the BVA used the term "equipoise" a few times in their decision. I even asked for BOD on my feet issues when a discrepancy arose in my SMRs. Naturally, back in 2009 the DRO still ignored the request and it took the BVA's decision to render equipoise and/or BOD.
"It is the defined and consistently applied policy of the Department of Veterans Affairs to administer the law under a broad interpretation, consistent, however, with the facts shown in every case. When after careful consideration of all procurable and assembled data, a reasonable doubt arises regarding the degree of disability such doubt will be resolved in favor of the claimant."
    Yea, riiiiiiiiight.
