Nprc No Record Of Mil Records
I have received a widow's claim from one of my vet orgs that has me stumped. The veteran, now deceased, had a heart attack within 6 months after leaving the service. The type of heart disease he had could possibly fall into the presumptive category of 38 CFR 3.309 (a) (2006) and it obvioulsy manifested at 10% within the year after service. The widow claims the hospital that treated him had a fire and all of the records showing the 1987 heart attack were destroyed. I suggested that a possible reconstruction could had been done by the hospital or a state medical board because the fire surely destroyed records of many others too. Also I suggested trying to find the tr…

C & P Exam Results
I recently had a C & P exam after 16 years for neurology and orthopedic conditions. The results I got back are titled "Confidential AD HOC Summary" . Anyone know what that title means or why the C & P exam is titled like that? I believe I was scheduled for the C & P exam after 16 years @ 70% because I didn't drop my comp claim at the BVA. The neurology exam was about 20 seconds long. I was asked to touch my nose with my fingertip and the doctor tapped my arms with a rubber hammer. From that the doctor gathered that my "motor, power, tone and bulk are normal in the upper and lower extremities" and "he has good heel-knee-shin. Gait is normal". Being …

Rating Defferred Pending C&p
I received my letter for reconsideration of headaches 0% was increased to 10%. My request reconsideration for Cervical Radiculopathy (left and right arms) not established, Residuals of Trauma to the Right Elbow 0% and carpal tunnel was deferred pending a C&P. What else could they need? I sent the results of my NCS (done at VAMC) showing bilateral radiculopathy, cubical and carpal tunnel. I am SC connected for DDD of cervical spine, trauma to my elbow and arthritis of my wrist. This seems like it would be a no brainer to me. Anyone have any advice on how to prepare for this C&P. Its not scheduled yet but I need to get my ducks in a role. Thanks guys

Bertha
Bertha, I have been reading some appeals and it seems that quite a few vets are applying for disability when they know it wont work. ie: heart failure while in the military in 1952 etc, I would never try to get something that i wasnt entilied to. This seems to be bottle necking the system, another example, applying to SC due to AO, and never left the states or were station in germany, I dont under stand all I know about VA. I would not of applied for prostate cancer if Va had not approved its connections to VN. Why are people tring to beat the system.??? The rules are the rules. just my feelings, dont mean to hurt anyone, but it just seems like they feel the Va …

ptsd Please Give Me Opinion
You guys know how hard it gets sitting here disabled waiting and wondering, but I don`t mean to be a pest. Anyway, just got letter from head doctor. As many of you remember I got rated 50% last month for PTSD. Have the medals (big deal) and haven`t worked since 04. Filed for IU on form VA sent with rating. Doc`s letter states chronic/severe PTSD, total & permanently disabled and unable to work. Also, states I won`t be able to work in the future and gave me a GAF score of 40. That went in along with a letter from my wife and mother. Also, 3 prescription drugs with side effects went in. I know anything can happen, but give me guesstimates please. Cavman

C&p Exam Help!
Greetings, I need some advice in regards to a veteran I continue to help. He had 2 C&P exams last month. I have gotten copies of his last C&P an EMG that was negitive for "Median Nerve damage", the other C&P was for righ arm issues, lunbar strain as it relates to his flat feet (He has been given 100% for his feet Loss of use)with ROM tests. I watched his ROM tests for his back and it appearded he didn't even get 5 degrees in any direction because of the pain in his lower back. His x-ray reports says he has moderate degerative disc, and bone disease, The C&P examiner tried to encourage him to get out of the house as much as possible so he can live a …
