Social Security Told My Mother She Is Dead
My mother got a notice from Social Security telling her that she is dead. Would that qualify you for disability? LOL No. Really. She got a notice to the Estate of ### She said her name and address were stuck OVER the someone else with the same name in a different state. But my mother has lived at the same address for 60 years. It seems like Social Security - of all agencies - should go by you SS nummber - and NOT just the name. Anyway - she is trying to get her NON death straigtened out so they won't stop he check or keep her from getting her medicine. Free

tdiu Ss Turned Me Down....
Hi All, I received my Social Security denial letter on yesterday and of course they said "You are not disabled by our rules". They told me that they used evidence from Nov. & Dec. 2004 as well as VA Medical Report from March 2008? Are they kidding me? From 2004? Anyway, I spoke with my attorney and he had already told me that they probably would deny it the first time and they probably will deny me the 2nd time. So, I guess I'm in it for the long haul. My attorney said that they will file an appeal for me. Still no word on TDIU. Had my C & P Exam on April 30. Wonder what they are going to say. I'll keep you all posted. Cherie33

Ssd
Hey guys/gals, I got my 100% pt and my age is 51 and the these are some of my health problems: major depression/ocd, back injury with sciatica, migraines, fibroymyalgia, sleep apnea, arthritis, carpal tunnel in both hands, sever tmj, heel spurs, left knee injury, right thumb limited motion, and high blood pressure. I think I left some others out. Do you think I have a chance of getting SSD? Do they consider all of my conditions together as a whole person? I have not filed yet. Oh yes, I just got approved for my Arkansas Teacher Retirement Disability too. Can ya give me some advice? Your help would be appreciated, since you were so helpful with my 100%. Thanks, Vi…

Ssdi Adult Function Report Next, Any Advice?
So far, so good, I recieved the Adult Function report forms 3373, 3380 and Work History Report form 3369. Due in 21 days, but I'll send them asap. I can complete my Function report to the best of my knowledge but have one lingering question. How does the SSA weigh disabilities? For the form I am honest and show more than one sc disability that impacts my gainful employment, (mdd*w/mst workplace related issues, veins, arthritis, feet, lumbar D3, knees, etc). Thanks for any thoughts, I am ever indebted to Hadit for strength to carry on through 'my' personal storm, cg

tdiu Appeals Council Remand..assigned Alj
Ok let me see if I can explain this mess. Back in Sept. 2006 I had an ALJ hearing and was denied benefits. I appealed that claim and opened a entirely new claim. September 2007 I was awarded SSDI on the second claim I filed ;through an agreement made by the ALJ and my lawyer. I signed a waiver to receive retro pay from Sept. 2005 to Sept. 2007. I think they used this date because that was my date the VA used for my TDIU retro. In Feb. 2008 the Federal District Court remanded both of these decisions back to reworked by a another ALJ hearing. Because my retro date invaded the decision of the first judge and also in both my claims I had reported that I became disabled Jan. 2…

Sites That Helped Me With My Claim
www.ssdanswers.com www.ultimatedisabilityguide.com You can look at a FRC that is filled out to see as an example of how you can do one. If your computer literate you can make a disc and ask you doc to put it on thier letterhead. If your using the VA doctors they won't do it, but some will sign it for you. Mine did without hesitation. I hope these sites help others. On the ssdanswers.com (there might not be an s on answers) you can ask for free emails of info, I ask its worth doing it. Its free and he never harassed me to use him, its by a lawyer from Georgia. Good Luck to All.

diabetes Tdiu & Ssd & P&t
I just recievd my letter for 100% TDIU for coronary artery disease as a result of diabetes II as a result of agent orange etc. I have prostrate cancer in remission, adjustment disorder, high blood pressure & PTSD.(PTSD the VA denies my stressers) The guys in my PTSD group say I should apply for P&T and SSD right away. The service officer says I need to wait 1 year on the P&T and that I can not draw SSD and TDIU at the same time. Whatever I draw from SSD will reduce my TDIU. Anyone out there with some experience about this would be greatly appreciated.

Social Security Is Evil - The Sequel
To add to the Social Security is evil post - but it was long enough just concerning my son's claim - so I thought I would so a different thread for this one. They have REALLY played games with MY claim. Feb. 5 2007 - my husband died. Feb. 14 2007 - I report his death to Social Security and they take a phone application for lump sum death payment. They tell me to go to the local office to apply for Survivor Benefits. Feb. 19 2007 - I receive a Notice of AWARD from Social Security - granting me the lump sum death payment. It also includes the blanket closeout - telling me I am not entitled to other benefits - but if I think I am - I will need to fill out anothe…

Social Security Laws And Regulations
On a lighter note - I am now almost qualified to pass the bar exam in regard to any and every regulation involving Survivor Benefits for Social Security. I almost have the entire Social Security Act, The Program Operations Manual (POMS) and half the Social Security Rulings memorized by now. I kid you not - I know I have spent HUNDREDS of hours reading and studying these. So if any one else gets the run around on Survivor Benefits - I can help you with some of the laws and regulations. Maybe I could do trainings for the local office. I certainly HOPE this is discrimintation - because if it is not - the local office has even bigger problems than I thought. …

Social Security Is Evil
I cannot think of another word that would aptly describe my attitude about certain Social Security workers now except the word "evil." Am trying to cover my bases - but am open to suggestions. This a a claim for survivors benefits. Case History My husband died Feb 5, 2007. I Reported my husband's death to Social Security Feb. 14, 2007. They did a phone application for Lump Sum Death Payment. Told me I would have to go to the local office to apply for survivor's benefits. My son is in my care. He lives with me. He is disabled (on SSI since he was 14). And my husband was in the process of legally adopting him when he died. Our state adoption laws direct t…
