ptsd Problems Tdiu
This past Aprial Begain to recive help for Problems. A friend directed me to apply for increase and apply for PTSD, He spelled it out and just said turn in the paper work. I did the week he passed away. I was granted a increase from 10% to 20% for lower Back. And 30% for PTSD. This was with issues cause I was not upfront and honest at the C-P thing. I stated this in another post. As funny as it sound I cant seem to find it myself. The Kids say it is here and I should just try harder to find it. I can't. My mind has come up with plan and seems to be going with it. I have appealed the finding with the DAV and tonight filled out a form for TDIU. Yet I am stuck he…

ptsd Filling Out The Tdiu Form
Okay, so I have the form printed out and I'm sitting here staring at it. Actually, I printed it out last week, and it's been here on my desk ever since. The bitter irony is that (as I've said before, probably) the symptoms that keep me from working also interfere with my getting forms done and applications submitted. So what do I put for the day I became too disabled to work? Would that be the same day I stopped working way back when? I submitted a resignation stating that I was quitting for family reasons, but there was no way in heck I was going to tell those people the truth. And how do I figure the amount of time lost from my illness? I stopped 12 years a…

tdiu What Should I Do To Receive P&t Benefits?
Hello Fellow Veterans, Ok, I when I was awarded "Individual Unemployability", my letter also stated that I would have a future exam scheduled for April 2010. However, I haven't received any future exam schedules as of yet. I would like to be able to qualify for my States Benefits, but I would need to be P & T. I would also want the Chapter 31 benefits, example; being able to shop on base, insurance for my dependent, etc.) What should I do in order to get this done? Thanks, Cherie33

ptsd Tdiu Application Non Response At Varo
Hi Everyone, We are a little confused with a call we made in regards to a TDIU application I filed in March of 09 for 70% TDIU...... 50 ptsd &40% loss of eye while shot down in Vietnam. Awarded 70% combined. Have Dupreyntens Contractures in both hands (no rating) with use of basically my thumbs only. It is said that is a secondary condition to PTSD and I am 60 years old. I was told the file has been sitting on desk waiting for decision since 12/22/2009. I have called several times and was told this again and again. I called two weeks ago and the American Legion officer in Oakland said he would get my file decisioned immediately and I would hear back from h…

My question is, part of his newer rating was 60% for Hypertensive Heart Disease secondary to DMII, but he has a 0% rating for Hypertension as a aggravating factor of diabetes. Is this correct of am I missing something? Sometimes these little details really gets me to wondering. Okay experts tell me something. Carolyn

ptsd Tdiu Claim For Hep C As Secondary To Ptsd
Hi All, I've received a 50% Rating for PTSD this week, and an AO related 20% for DMII, for a total combined rating of 60%. I also receive full SSDI for PTSD related mood disorders. In addition I have Hepatitis C and stage 3 liver damage with no cure in sight. I've already exhausted all medical options. My question is, can I find case law or legal precedent for linking the Hep C to the PTSD? I admitted post service drug and alcohol use but I feel it was PTSD related and therefor secondary. They will disallow the Hep C unless I can link it to the presumtion that it was either caused by infection during my service (very hard to do) or if I can get my doc to write a …

hypertension A Claim So Easy
This should be "A claim so easy a Caveman could do it"..but its not because the VA is processing the claim. While in the service I was hospitalized for 3 days in the CCU. I was admitted through the ER with chest & jaw pain. The bloodwork showed elevated cardiac enzymes so I was admitted and treated with nitro drip, heperin drip and O2. They did 3 blood draws and the third (18 hours later) was within normal limits. Upon discharge I did a stress test which had slightly abnormal T-waves. The diagnosis was GI reflux. Some months later I was at a follow up and it was noticed for the first time I had a murmur but they said it was benign. I filed a claim and was granted 0% fo…

ptsd Iu Appeal
Hey. I have 70% PTSD n dont work. Havent full time in 6 yrs. All due to the PTSD symptoms. Just rec'd letter from my VA psychologist to send with IU app on appeal. Lookin to git opinions on my questions n DR letter for IU claim. It doesnt say it in the words most say a letter needs to be for the rater to grant IU more easily but what do you think? I did stress to the DR how it needed to be worded. As I said before he is concerned bout some crap goin on wid this C&P dr who has repeatedly stated to most all of his vets at C&P exam they r either lyin or dont have PTSD. So my Dr n others in this area r bein looked at under a microscope. He is concerned about…

tdiu What Constitutes An Inferred Claim For Iu?
Can anyone tell me what would constitute an inferred claim for IU (individual unemployability)? For example, If one files for service connection (original service connection filing) and in the c-file there is evidence from doctor's statement "saying unemployable" and on original application for benefits (which states: "what prevents you from working? which was what was being filed for) would this be an inferred claim for IU at the time of original filing? I was granted qualifying percentage for IU (notified 3 years after the original filing) and had not worked for quite sometime before that filing or since, then should the original rater have considered this evid…
