Adhd/learning Disabilities
I have seen a few web-sites that seem to link AO with ADHD/Learaning Disabilities. Is their any link? Papa

New Presumptives Going Through Now
Just called the 800 number to check on status of my Ischemic Heart AO claim, young lady informed me that all of the new presumptive claims were now being processed without further delay. She said that it was now out of Congress and that the VA is presently processing all claims as of yesterday. Can anyone else confirm this information, as far as I am concerned this is great news for everyone concerned. DuRock

ptsd Claim Ao Now Or Later
Hello, I have a new letter to reopen my existing PTSD file, i may also have a claim for AO; ischemic heart disease. my question is: knowing the politics of the VA, should i open my AO claim at the same time as i reopen my PTSD claim, in other words could the VA mess with me by trying to lower rate me, on AO, and PTSD, if they are both granted at the same time.?? Thanks for the input sunny

Lets Not Forget We Are All Vietnam Vets
I have noticed this for a while and wanted to kind of post my feelings on this. Some seem to feel a little bit or animosity toward vets that did file for IHD in the past and stand to reap a large sum of money. Money does not and will never replace my health or my feelings toward my fellow brothers of the Vietnam war! We all know what we went through over there and of course when we got back. To those that suffered and filed and are going to get a rather large retro I say good for you! To those that suffered and did not file either because you did not know or did not want to I say I am sorry and wish things were different. We all know suffering from heart disease th…

Email From Lawyers
I got an email from the Lawyers group about IHD and that they were on my case today. It is the standard email we all got on this issue who have claims in for IHD or CAD due to AO. Since I am already SC'ed for it via secondary to DMII I don't know what happens next. I wanted to get my name on the board.

Steamed
Well I personally ended up watching this on the web and did not go to the hearings as I wanted. Mainly because I am TOO DISABLED to make it there! Guess I could have taken a taxi but I DON"T have the cash! So I sit and watch! The hearing as all know got pulled from C-span 3 at the last minute and might be broadcast later. I find it rather daunting that this committee saw fit at all to have the secretary and all the scientist there when if either one of them had taken the time to read the report and looked at the law past on AO back in 94 by CONGRESS that they would have found out that all of the t"s were crossed and the i"s were dotted. There absolute ONLY problem w…

Ao Vietnam Maps
Just in case- I think it is important to post links to the spraying maps. http://www.chicagotribune.com/health/agentorange/chi-091204-agentorange-map,0,1959438.htmlpage If exposure becomes an issue I was able to pinpoint my husband's exposure very clearly- Ashau Valley 1965-66 USMC with one of the spraying maps on line. I don't think it will get to that point- and it would be horrible if it did- and the fact remains that soldiers who were contaminated by direct spraying went back to their camps and bases with AO contamination that passed onto others. I wonder if any of these opponents to the new presumptives have answers for the fact that the Hatfield repo…

New Presumptive Claim Status
So anyone with any inside information or is anyone willing to make an educated guess on what is happening at present on award ratings and claims while we await the CRA period? Do you think that the VA might be going ahead with rating claims and drawing award letters that will be issued immediately following the CRA delay period of 60 days (now 39 days remaining)? Jim

Need Support - Hitting The Wall
Recently I have posted a few discussions on the BVA forum and Success Forum. a little background, my husband is sc for AO DM2 and related conditions.....in speaking with the VA today, they said a Nehmer claim has already been opened for him due to IHD and we don't need to file one or a reopening of his DM2 claim. Is this right ... ? Also, please lift me my spirits - it's been an almost 8 year wait to get his appeal sc (not the DM2 issue, something else) Finally, BVA sc him....he had an exam recently by QTC - the doctor told us it was only to determine his current disability.... not a rating exam and she had no prior medical records....it was in her words "the…
