    I wear the same clothes almost everyday jeans and a plaid shirt-literally the same jeans and shirt everyday. I am thinking I should dress up a little for the C+P so they don't think I'm intentionally dressing down? But on the other hand people say be yourself . 3 days to C + P!

    No but good to know. I can't imagine I'll be denied at the C+P but you never know.

    Had to call crisis line today. Just organizing records to take to C + P pushed me over the edge. I loathe telling about it.

    Sounds like you can get Social Security.

    Which mental health conditions do they consider service-connected? Which ones are excluded?

    Another option is FMLA leave from your job and looking into your jobs long term dissability insurance. I am not working now due to my PTSD and found out I have over 4 months of sick time and long term disability insurance after that.

    Thank You so much. So they can say I'm totally crazy but give me a lower percentage since some of my crazy is not military related.

    Next week I have an initial C+P for PTSD. Will Ihave to recount incidents in excruciating detail or are they looking more for symptoms and how they effect you?

    I have heard good things about Military Order of the Purple Heart as a VSO.

    If you want to retire do it but you will take a financial hit of course. It sounds like the VA could find a reason to lower your percentage as well. Best option is to retire. Imo

    My C+P is next week. I'm diagnosed by the VA with PTSD, OCD, Depression, and psychosis. I understand the VA will compensate for PTSD but not OCD. How do they tell what percentage of my disability is PTSD vs OCD?

    It is a common "alpha male" response to deny anything is wrong even when things are very wrong....you even convince yourself that it's no big deal.

    I can relate. However hallucinations generally fade over time sounds like that is not the case with you. Repressed memory is common in PTSD.

    OK I was anxious to get the interview date, now I'm anxious waiting for the interview.
