  1. Chris Not sure, off the top of my head I actually can't recall either way! But I do believe any in house C&P exam should be on there, however, if it was done by a contracted provider it will not be on there. Anyone with better intel on this can speak to it. Semper Fi
  2. Dang, Buck, sounds like you're looking for a needle in a needle stack! Good luck, and good hunting there, bro! I'd let you borrow my magnet, that can lift 50lbs, but it may cause more trouble than it's worth. I mean, imagine a 50lb bundle of needles hanging off your hand! Semper Fi...Andy
  3. Chris, Gotta say your voices say the same thing mine do, pretty much. Since you were DXd within a month of leaving the service, that will pretty much give you the SC link, in addition to your psych eval a few months earlier before you left AD. I would hazard a WAG and say most likely 70% if not 100. The reason is that for the SI(suicide ideation) is in the 70% rating bracket. And some of the other things may push you to 100%. And if not, then the IU certainly would. Need to post a redacted(all identifying info blacked out)copy of your C&P exam from the 23rd, on here, so more knowledgeable folks can give you a better idea. 4. Navy4life, I get all shivery just thinking about it, how it will change my life, for the better. Even more so that my rate increases have...since they were a monthly increase with little to no retro. I can hardly wait to tell my wife, since she knows I go with out any luxuries to ensure that she and the kids don't have to skip out. This will be my first reward/bonus/lottery prize/payout that is bigger than a take home check, or tax return. Andy
  5. Buck, Thanks, man...finally got something from the VA(will be getting)that I should have had years ago. Had told the boss(wife) that our lives would have been so much different if this would have been given when it should have...that 3rd baby she wanted, and so on. And for me, even, my first very own new car. And a better life for my kids, even. I sure hate going with out, so they don't have to grow up like I did. I can't tell you what it feels like, having to ask the wife for a few more bucks for gas, till payday. I can't even treat her right, in that sense, if I can barely afford any extras from my allowance/gas money. But this will be a HUGE relief, pay down enough debt to literally free up a significant portion of my take home. Hope that 3rd signer is in the zone and applies their :"John Hancock" to my document soonest! Andy
  6. I was at 40% from 08/2000 till 04/2015. So I'm expecting that if they give me the current 30% for my feet as the EED rating, also, that it would bump my then 40 to 60%. And with 3 dependents from 01/06 till present, that would be approx $250 a month per 10% increase. So at the low end, could be $250 times all those months, or $500, which I think is most likely, and slim chance of $750, if the bump adjusts my previous 40 to 70%, if the bilateral factor gives enough boost. Berta, Yes, I pray for all of us here, and in general, as well, Vets, their families, and those that assist Vets in any way, shape, or form, too. Andy
  7. I just hope it's not long and drawn out.
  8. Still haven't heard from the NOVA lawyer, but called his office, lady said that emailing him goes to a general inbox, which he gets to when he can. I gave her a little rundown, and she said she would email him to look at me emails. Checked ebennies, just for shits and giggles. Saw that my "entitlement" claim and EED were no longer listed. Checked the dates of SC for my disabilities, saw that the SC date for my feet has been changed to 03/01/2006!!!!! So, now I wait to see what the retro $ looks like. Still haven't told my wife about the entitlement claim change, or anything else pertaining to this. Cautiously hopeful...could be a really good summer...
  9. I believe the correct acronym here is "BOHICA" as in Bend Over Here It Comes Again. I know some nice and very knowledgeable nurses, but do not like the idea that the VA could hypothetically use them for our treatment or in the C&P process, but then deny us based on a Drs opinion who didn't even see or treat us. To me, it seems like another scandal waiting to happen. Just think of what the whole claims and compensation picture would look like, if the VA just did the right thing, the first time, because it is the right thing to do, and we Veterans have already paid for and earned the right to be compensated.
  10. Just dealing with the VA in general will drive you crazy! Ebennies just pushes you over that cliff! As for the additional $ you can receive, you have to think about the multiple amputees and those with TBIs so severe that they function at or below a young child. Pretty much those that can't care for themselves or live on their own, wheelchair bound and such. I knew a Vet who was receiving over $6K a month, but he had full on Parkinson's from AO, was severely overwhelmed with PTSD from 2.5 years in a VC bamboo outdoor living structure...that he couldn't do anything on his own. His Parkinson's was severe enough that he couldn't drive, cook, tie his shoes, much less button his shirt. I was good friends with one of his sons, and saw the effect it had on him, with his Dad spending more time in the VAMC than he did at home. So...unless you need the extra $, because you are that disabled, nobody really wants to trade places with those Vets. Semper Fi
  11. It's additional compensation and there are a handful of different ones, one is for housebound, like either physically bedridden, or anxiety is so strong you can't go outside. There are ones for specialty vehicles, for wheelchair accessability and so on. I think you can top out at 8K or more a month.
  12. Pretty kitty, Have you made any headway on the bunion front? I just had X-rays done within the past 2 weeks, confirming bunion on my R foot, according to my PCP. Andy
  13. So, if it was 3, would it then qualify as a murder? Or maybe just aggravated assualt with depraved indifference? Do they quoth Never More, while they are at it?
  14. You're welcome, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help! Lol!!! Just kidding! Semper Fi
  15. Muzak? Elevator music? I'm sure these are all psysops techniques to get Vets to mess up during MH exams, or forget and leave stuff unspoken.
  16. 2) I do, and have reported them. My VA MH therapist asks me every session, if I have had any SI since the last session. I tried to drink myself out, a few times, and once nearly got the blade to my skin before another Marine stopped me, while at work. Nothing came out of it, talked to my division chief, who sent me to the base Chaplain. But no BH/MH evaluation!!! When I made initial contact with the VA to get a PCP, I told them that I suffered SI while on AD. They did not refer me to BH for eval, either. I called the hotline last spring as I was very nearly over the tipping point. And yes, I feel so ...let down, that nothing was ever done. 3) I had a MH C&P last fall, that was quite different, as the examiner made a note when I told him about the SI and attempts while on AD, and the SI that I've been struggling with ever since. That was all, he made a note, no more and no less.
  17. I wish my MH C&P examiner had been stoic. I would most likely have been granted SC. But no, I got the slicked back hair, big "cat who ate the canary" grin and a snake oil huckster attitude. He was quite happy to talk about everything except the reason for my exam, nor did he really want to talk about my sleep problems or alcohol abuse much either..
  18. SunnyH, Well, guess I won't be keeping his name handy after all. And I am physically not located in NY or NJ, so...no go there, either. Thanks anyway! Andy
  19. Thanks, sometimes my sense of humor keeps me together. Yep, links allowed. And no, not my guy, well, don't have one yet, but not same name. Lol. But will keep this handy just in case mine doesn't pan out. Thanks. Lunch break over, back to work, for me.
